I usually do not write reviews but feel compelled too because you (as a potential consumer) need to know that I have had a very bad experience with them.

My story, in short...

Purchased 3 episodes out of a 22 episodes tv series over a 3 night period. Went back on the 4 the night and no tv episodes, including the 4-22 of the one I wanted to view, were showing on my internet connected panasonic device.

I called technical support - the 1-877 number - the tek guy did what he could and then said he had to escalate the case to 2nd level tek support & I would be notified by email of the solution within 24 hours.

24 hours later - no email... and the situation was still the same - not fixed. I called into customer service again - same situation - they said had to escalate to 2nd level tek support and said I would see an email within 24 hours. 3rd day same situation. 4th day same situation. I. e. No episode 4-22 and no tv series at all. In fact my wish list was showing 5 of the 15 movies i placed on them and the movie rental section had 115 movies instead of the 500+ that i saw 4 days earlier. I brought all of this to their attention. But absolutely nothing got resolved.

This time I called them back (the 4th time) & they said they would escalate to tek support. So I told them that this has been going on for 4 days and is unacceptable & if they do not resolve within 1 hour they have lost me as a customer & I will also let others know not to become a customer of cinemanow.

There were other unresolved issues, but I think you get the picture.

I would definitely would not recommend this service at all.

I bought 8 movies spending about $120 with the intent to watch the movie series with my kids. I couldn't get my net gear streaming device to sync with my account. I called tech service and they emailed me a list of things to do. I did that list of stuff and still couldn't view my movies. I called them again and they gave me another list of stuff to do. Still couldn't get my movies. My husband called they said they would escalate the case to the next level and they would email us in 24 to 72 hrs. We asked if we could just have a refund in store credit so we could repurchase the movies through the streaming device. They refused us that. So after 3 days we hear nothing. We call back again this time just demanding our money back. We were not happy that we spent that kind of money and not be able to watch the movies. They said they would escalate our case to the next level. After 3 days we hear nothing. Call back again and they said they have sent out request to the highest department. A full week goes by and we hear nothing. We call back demanding or money back. Same thing, email in 1 to 3 days. So we end up calling best buy corporate since they promoted cinema now. They made some calls and talked with cinema now and we were told we would receive our refund the next day. We gave it 2 days to let it clear then called again. We were told we'd get our refund the next day. At this point its been 2 weeks. We call and are told that it takes 5 to 7 days to get our money back. As of today, 3 weeks later still no refund. We called again this time yelling at them. They said that it was supposed to be 5 to 7 business days which was not what we were told the previous time they made it sound like the end of this week. We talked to a supervisor who gave us the run around. We demanded to talk to the returns department. They said they don't talk to consumers they will only do email to which we let them know where they can jam that. We ended up getting nowhere with them and at this point we are looking to contact a lawyer to see what else we can do to get our money back. So at this point the fight is still ongoing.

This company is nothing more than a scam. It should not take 3+ weeks to get a refund it seems that they will do what they can to make sure we do not get a refund. We paid for a service and we're unable to receive that service, we should get our money back. Both my husband and I have been posting on Facebook and going around telling anyone who asks what we think of this company. Monday we will be contacting a lawyer to see if anything more can be done.
