Scam company! Do not order from here. Worst experience renting books ever. You are charged for the FULL purchase price of the book if you do not return on time, without warning. And it can not be disputed or anything. They won't even give you a partial refund. So being charged $200 for a $30 rental is not worth it. Stay away from them and rent from a reputable site.

I ordered books from this company. I needed the books immediately, because I already had written assignments that were going to be due based on the reading. I ordered my books using this site. I paid extra to have them shipped overnight. My books never arrived. However, they automatically charged me for the books even though I never got them. Their customer service takes forever to respond to emails and phone messages. In the end, they gave me a refund, but I was screwed. I needed those books for my classes. I wrote complete bs for my first few assignments of the term. Given the fact that I didn't have the books to actually do the reading.

LESSON don't buy your books online, buy from your college unless anyone know of a real good online bookstore

I was wary of using this site because of the mixed reviews I had found online, but because they boasted the lowest prices, I went ahead and ordered my Spring 2011 semester textbooks from this site. I had a great experience. This site has a wide selection of books but doesn't keep them all in their warehouse. Sometimes they use 3rd party sources to get your textbooks to you (it sounds kind of sketchy, but it worked out well for me). I ordered 4 books from CollegeBookRenter, and all 4 of them came at different times. Two of my books came from CollegeBookRenter, and the other two came from a third party. Only one of the textbooks I ordered came with some sort of invoice/packing slip (only for that single book) which I thought was kind of sketchy. But overall I was pleased with the transaction. I received all of my books within about 2 weeks of placing my order, so plan accordingly. :)

Ive had nothing but positive experiences with college book renter and have used them (along with a few others) for the last 3 semesters. Generally, CBR is more affordable than some of the other websites and is pretty fast at shipping it out. When I get my books from any site, I always make sure to check if it is damaged and if it is- I let the company know so that im not charged for it. I know that at high times of the year these companies likely get books in and send them right back out and may miss damage- so I make sure to mention it to not be charged.
