Customer service is a bad joke -- nad non existance. I've sent several emails over several weeks to have my bank account verified and not had anything more than an automated response back. Pathetic. Completely untrustworthy.

This needs to stop. Coinbase has the worst customer service. Meaning you can't even reach one so you are stuck not being able to access your account or trades for weeks. Horrible. CEO should be embarrassed

Coinbase is absolute GARBAGE!

Wish I could leave ZERO stars. I've made 100's of purchases, transfers, swaps, etc on Coinbase and never had an issue. Had my account for several years. About 4 months ago, they suddenly for no reason blocked me from buying crypto. I talked to multiple customer service people who were great. It was "expedited" or whatever. No one ever got back to me. It's been 3 months.

I got a random email saying we can't do anything with your account, we can't give you any reason, and try back in 30 days.

Realized I had another account, tried to add Paypal as a payment method, and of course, it wouldn't let me. Called support and chatted with them. Same issues. No reason or explanation. I'm done with Coinbase forever. They are the WORST. I'll stick to Crypto.com.

Terrible service
October 23, 2022

Terrible support. My account was breached (I think -- I cannot access it) weeks ago and I've been dancing around with horrible support people via email (can't reach them by phone and their chat is a rudimentary bot) who keep asking me to do things that I keep telling them don't work. Not sure they're human, seem like badly-programmed bots. However Mark fisher came through for me as he was able to get my money back, you can also reach him if you need help by sending a mail to Markfisherjr@ outlook.com

Recommended for all customers to resolve your issues. Thank You. I had no problems making several transactions. It was smooth so far. I believe some people have no patience or are awkward on how to use it. Only thing is find live support, but I think they will in the future when they expand staff.

They absolutely are dishonest! Mine said available instantly, which was total BS, it now says 3 week hold, my bank transferred right away, answered all of the bs security questions and id, customer support sends out canned emails that do not answer a thing or solve the problem of accessing my money! Totally Unacceptable, I believe they are just trying to make interest from our money that isn't available to us!

Scam app

This is the worst experience. Scam co which makes money on fees for everything. They lock your money for 11 days no matter what payment you use. Basically you can do nothing with your own crypto. Hard to return them to bank. Poor customer service. High fees. I used other apps with no delays or any issues. You cant even leave review on them. How so? FBI should closer to look at their business. Never again with them.

They have blocked sell/buy transactions just after I have bought crypto. No explanation, but 'we need an additional review' that may last 90 days. Customer service chat is not working. No response for e-mails. I read the article that "an additional review" means requesting sensitive personal and financial details. The most strange thing is the User Agreement. First, they can suspend activity w/o any explanation. Second, they may suggest due diligence meeting in person to accumulate info.

HORRIBLE!

Obviously outsourced customer service has no clue what they are doing. I am in hour 6 of trying to regain access to my coinbase account after it was hacked. Their technology is garbage, the customer service team is terrible. They have no idea how to help, if their script doesn't specifically address your problem you are screwed. There is no supervisor to escalate to or at least they won't let you escalate it. They just keep putting you on hold and letting you sit in limbo for endless periods of time and eventually just hang up on you. Call back? HAH! No chance. This company deserves to go bankrupt. The second I get into my account (assuming I ever do) I will be pulling all my crypto out. You should do the same.

Coinbase locked my account for no apparent reason without any notification or explanation whatsoever. Instructed to call customer service who can only tell me they've forwarded my questions and to expect a response within a week. Meanwhile, I can't contribute nor move my crypto off the exchange. BTC is nose-diving and Coinbase is obtuse and costing me money. Complete knuckleheads. Buyer beware! Better alternatives out there.

I regret being member at coinbase and storing funds. Policy changes which i couldnt opt out of required me to re verify my credentials. No matter what i do they wont accept my valid passport or IDs. Everything is automated and you keep running into digital brick walls. I have deposited fund years ago and there is no way for me yo retrieve them. Support is non existent. If you manage to talk to a human you will only receive cut and paste replies. Thanks for taking my money and then close the doors

Wish I could give it zero stars have already spent 3 hours going back in fourth with customer service through email and phone and have gotten nowhere at all. Would go into detail but coinbase has wasted enough of my time and money already.

After months of back and forth with their "tech support" via email. They never returned my funds or credited my account. They just took my money but never showed proof of repayment. These people are thieves period. They obviously don't have any humans to answer a one on one conversation. Moving all to Gemini and Voyager!
These guys will be out of business soon enough once everyone has more choices for trading!

Its been 3 weeks and im trying to recover my account so far nothing was done. They always send their generic email they work hard and doing their best.
They have international call that does not accept international calls and basically dont work
They only have coinbase phone support but they include coinbase pro to make it look like they both have customer service.

If you want to be meserible like many of us here go a head sign up as for me I just want to get the hell out of this company asap. Dealing with them is exhausting. They just dont care

Overall, Coinbase is reliable but there is room for improvement.
For example, instant buying through cards don't go throw 9/10 times so you have to use bank transfer which can take 1-3 days and by then the Coin prices have changed. Another downside is that they didn't actually pay out the "refer a friend" bonus. The referred friend got his bonus though so at least it's something...
For people who are just getting started, Coinbase is a trusted exchange and despite the limited Coins offered at least you get a good start without getting ripped off.

Coinbase is a NIGHTMARE!

Steer clear of Coinbase! They're completely unethical, as they randomly restrict accounts for no apparent reason & hold crypto purchases hostage while offering no customer service. Their entire system is automated, so there's no way to obtain assistance. All attempts to contact them get auto-reply emails only. Since Coinbase charges exuberant fees, it's ridiculous that they can't offer some customer service. They seem to be catering only to "whales" while sabotaging smaller accounts. Coinbase is a nightmare - please heed this warning! You'll save yourself hours of wasted time & excessive fees!

Worst Crypto Exchange

Coinbase has twice not delivered currency to address or email addresses. It consistently closes cases without resolving the issue. They refuse to explain themselves, or have a manager contact you and there is no phone number to reach a real live human beings.

The frozen my account with more than 1000$ of BTC for no reason without any notice after some months of service. I tried to contact their support but no-one responded. There isn't any phone to contact them and no office address. There are hinders of scam reports about coinbase just by making a search on Google.com

Thieves
October 10, 2021

Coinbase stole from my account Money which were left over after I was hacked. They just simply performed a transaction by selling the leftover coins. They even send me an email stating that I owed them money. I was hacked into the account on October 1st and coinbase is not assisting in resolving the issue. Their customer service is not working, there is no phone number that you can use to speak with somebody and the emails are Very generic. I took a great loss because of this company and they don't feel accountable. Their security is very poor. Do not invest a penny because you will lose it. They are a bunch of thieves and liars and they should be removed from the market.
