They've sent me a damaged item. Since 3 weeks I'm trying to get a refund. Customer service is absolutely horrible. Never again.
I purchased two handbags from Coggles which returned the same week using UPS, I just happened to be checking my statements and noticed the refund had not been credited to my card, two days later, several phone calls, serve anguish and talking to some absolute idiots the handbags suddenly appeared in there warehouse, no explanation or apology was given.
Needless to say as many of us don't check our refund statements Matthew Moulding Ceo of Coggles would have been £579 better off...
I was then insulted with an offer of £5.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
SIMPLY AVOID IT.
Useless and horrible customer service. Ive talked with an agent called Mica 3 times before paying the shoes i wanted, I have asked everything about delivery methods, time etc. Ive been tot postage time would have been 3-5 working days and tracked. I have paid and immediately received a not working tracking link. The day after Ive had a chat with an agent called Rachel, she said tracking would have been activated in 72 hours. After 72 hours tracking isnt active yet. I had a chat today with an agent called alexander, ive been told that tracking usually update in 10 working days, this clearly means postage will be at least 10 working days, plus ive called the courier and the tracking format ive been given it is not correct. I'm still unable to get an answer from them, they just take customers ride.
WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER
Worst company ever! I ordered a pair of boots that I never received, after many emails sent to the customer service and forms filled, they told me they cannot help me and DELETED MY ACCOUNT SO I CANNOT CONTACT THEM! Scam company
Totally awful customer service when returning goods. I returned two sweatshirts as they were much smaller than the advertised size (even though I always buy this brand in this size). I received a refund for one item but the other has gone "missing" in the warehouse. Coggles are refusing to refund me until they find it. This is despite my tracking number showing it's been delivered. Their online customer services chat appears to be answered by bots as they fail to answer questions and just repeat that the matter is under investigation. A different "person" answers the chats each time and they don't appear to read the history. It is of no concern to me that they have lost this item - why should this hold up my refund. It's now been 12 days and they are insistent that they have to carry out a manual search for it. It sounds like its been stolen internally to me. I have now had to raise a charge back on my credit card. I tend to buy clothes at least once a month from Flannels, Hip Store, Kafka, End, Mainline, Farfetch, etc and none of these have ever given me problems like this. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs it just isn't worth he aggravation. I would leave a review of zero but cant - looking at other reviews my situation is a daily occurrence.
UPDATE 15 July: Coggles agreed to refund me on 08 July and said the refund would be in my account within 5 working days at the latest. Guess what? No money. So I try and interact via their message service and they tell me the matter is still be investigated. I explain that they said they would refund but now they are saying they won't until the investigation is completed. I then called Coggles and they have explained that the warehouse cancelled the refund until the investigation is complete. They hide behind the warehouse as though it is a separate company. Don't believe Coggles response below to my situation. They have confirmed they are still looking into my lost parcel and will not refund until they have completed their "investigation". Joke of a company. Never again. Chargeback in process now.
19 February 2015 I ordered gloves on this site.
More than a 1,5 month passed but I not received my order.
I wrote to customer service and a very long time waiting for an answer.
When I got the answer I was shocked.
Here is the original answer from support:
"Hello Nurik,
Thank you for getting in touch about order *******.
We operate a 40 day policy in which we ask you to please make contact to let us know that your order has not arrived.
As it has now been over 40 days since your order was sent, we cannot trace this item and are unable to offer you a refund or replacement.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by this.
If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.
Kind regards,
Gary
Coggles Customer Service Team"
So, I was left without gloves and without money.
People, if you want to buy something in this online store - you can just throw the money. So you at least save your time and nerves.
Sincerely, Ducembaev Nurik
I ordered an item month ago, Coggles website offered international delivery so I thought it was reliable. My item was lost after waiting for one month and now it is sold out.
Scammers forsure. I ordered some shoes, and they came in the wrong size. I'm pretty sure they do this on purpose just to get some money.
My recent experience with Coggles, a subsidiary of The Hut Group (THG), has left me utterly dismayed and disappointed. What should have been a straightforward resolution turned into a chaotic circus of errors.
First, there was the minor one alphabet error in the delivery address. Despite notifying them promptly, Coggles' customer service representative, Imogen, assured me that the issue would be sorted out. However, the reality was far from her promises. The item was inexplicably called back on August 1st, leaving me puzzled and frustrated.
The circus continued with conflicting information from other cast members, including Malcolm, Katie, Akeel, and Amreen. Their lack of coordination and understanding only added to the confusion.
It is mind-boggling that a reputable company like Coggles could make such a simple issue so convoluted. Their inability to troubleshoot a minor misspelling is concerning and raises questions about their internal processes.
I find it absurd that they enforced a refund without my request and, to add insult to injury, credited my account with an arbitrary amount of 10 pounds. These actions seem more like desperate attempts to distract from their incompetence rather than genuine acts of goodwill.
Coggles' circus of customer service has left me feeling frustrated and disillusioned. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make significant improvements to avoid subjecting other customers to such a spectacle.
I am left with no choice but to give Coggles a zero-star review. Their performance was nothing short of a disaster, and I urge others to approach with caution.
Thank you.
My first ever order has been a complete nightmare. They sent me the wrong $AUD790 headphones - brown, not black. OK mistakes are made, its a nuisance but it shouldn't be a problem - Right? WRONG
Coggles Customer Service(CCS) response was, and I'm not kidding: You, the Customer, need to get a quote for International shipping - Australia to UK. Once we, CCS, approve the quote, you need to organise the shipping (i. E. identify a shipper, contact them, get a quote, arrange pickup). When we receive it back here in the UK, we will refund you. Incidentally, because I'd be the shipper, if it gets lost in transit, I would be stuck paying for it.
I asked for them to send me the black replacement immediately even offering to pay for it. No, its against policy. And besides we have not got any in the warehouse and you have to wait another 6 weeks. This was completely untrue as I had a chat hookup with the online sales crew and they had 3 pairs available.
So deal with them at your own risk. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you. If it doesn't you have a world of aggravation ahead because if they treat you like this when they have made the mistake, what would happen with DOAs or a warranty problem. I can only imagine!
In March 2015 I purchased an American Vintage Dwitt bag from The Hut Group. I received my order but was sent out the wrong bag (American Garrat bag) and this bag had very obviously been used, tags were torn off and placed inside the bag. It took me 7 weeks to eventually receive a refund.
On the 17/11/2015 I notice Coggles have the American Dwitt bag so I place an order for next day delivery. Order arrives but low and behold I receive the American Garrat bag that The Hut Group sent me exactly the same bag that took me 7 weeks to get a refund for! Called customer service and have been given the same runaround treatment as I received in March 2015 with the Hut Group. I new realise that Coggles is part of the Hut Group as is Look Fantastic, My Bag.com and a few others pretending to be an upmarket department store. None of the mentioned companies include an invoice/returns form with your order, you have to call/email if there is a problem and god help you if you do not own a printer as you have to wait and wait and wait until they post the invoice/returns slip. Then if like myself you live in a remote village you drive on a 14 mile return trip to take the parcel to a collect plus store. So its ground hog day for me, same wrong order, same USED bag... I will never be ordering off Coggles or The Hut Group again!
For all international shoppers, I would stay away from this site! I purchased a clutch that was on sale for £148 (it's still on their website at the time of this post) with free shipping. I expected to pay for customs and duties (based on the purchase amount, as everyone knows, whether you're a seller or a buyer, the value declared on the customs form is the amount the purchaser paid for less any shipping costs - this is also the amount that would be claimed for insurance if the package goes missing or becomes damaged).
My package arrived and I was wondering why the duties and taxes were higher than what I calculated, I found out the company filled out £154.47 on the customs declaration form when in fact, I paid £148! This makes a difference as I am paying more than I should be to import this item! I contacted Coggles and their responses were ridiculous and unethical. I quote from their first response:
"This would have been simply due to the conversion rate on the day the order was shipped. For example, today $261.96 CAD converts to £151.83 and this rate changes up and down daily"
This is absolutely appalling and is in contravention with the export/import laws. The subsequent response (from a different rep) I received was "We will not alter any information for the declaration Orders being placed for delivery" Hello? But you just admitted you did in a prior response?!
Nonetheless, I will be filing a refund with my borders agency regarding this. I am absolutely disgusted with the way Coggles chose to handle this situation, and lying on the declaration forms - if I'm not mistaken, they overvalued the item in case the package goes missing and they can be reimbursed for the value of the item and the "free" shipping costs involved.
STAY AWAY. BUYERS BE WARE.
This is not my first time to purchased clothing at coggles but it's THE WROST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.
This is my 1st time to try non-tracking shipping because I just buy 1 tee and I had a not bad shopping experiences on coggles before but those purchased items were chosen by tracking-shipping delivery. The tee was estimated to receive after 2 weeks later of my purchased day. But it was delayed! I mail to coggles and they reply me it needed 1 month for delivery. That's fine though I'm not hurry to get the tee. 1 month later, I also didn't received my item and kept mail to coggles and NO REPLY from them anymore!
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED ON COGGLES and realize that how irresponsible they were. I think if I keep to pick tracking-shipping, I may not meet that situation now.
Hopefully, this review can help shopper to know more coggles and the huts group. Also, tracking-shipping should ensure shoppers to find their purchased products and find the responsibility if the product was lost.
Nicole
If you need to make use of their Service it is the worst you can find online!
Very unfriendly, very incoherent, very unreliable.
Stay away!
I believe that I have been grossly overcharged by this company. Aside from the this, I have had goods showing as shipped that never arrived, excuses followed by an eventual promise of a refund. Also, if you select goods to your shopping basket and pay at the checkout, please dont assume that they actually have the stock. I have been let down countless times and I have recently been notified a week after my order was processed that two of the items are out of stock and will not be arriving - with yet another promise of a refund. Dont just read this review, there are plenty of other on this site as well as other review sites. Their customer service appears sincere enough, but after a while you get to see it for what it is... a circus, where nobody can make decisions and if you decide to take matters further the only option they provide is to write to this chap;
If a request for your feedback/ complaint is deemed to be addressed beyond this, then a letter in writing would be required from yourself and sent to the following address:

I havent written to the Ringmaster just yet as I am exploring other options, rest assured though, I will not stop writing on every social media platform available until Coggles do the right thing by responding to the simple questions being posed.
