I recently purchased tickets through cheapoair and received booking confirmations and itineraries to include a bill with the purchase price to only show up at the airport and not have anything for me. I tried contacting them immediately but after waiting on the phone for over 30 minutes I gave up and had to purchase the tickets again costing double of what I originally paid for. Short version of this story is my payment really never went through the credit card company i used said that they charged the credit card for a 0 dollar fee. Either way I couldn't change of what happen so i purchased one ticket through the airline and went back through cheapoair for the ticket back. Buying the ticket back the agent asked if it was ok to use the same card I used from previous and I said yes and then she asked for the 3 digit code on the card and then proceeded to charge the card. She asked to check my email and when I did I realized that she charged another individual card and it went through. I corrected that immediately with my card information. I just don't understand if I am asked the 3 digit code on the card how did it even get charged to the other person. Well I made it through my trip but out $500 now. I called to complain and all they did was apologize and try to tell me that the ticket was pending even though I got booking confirmation. They ended emailing me with apologies and $20 towards my next trip lol. I guess after that experience they think I will be a returning customer. Nope not ever again.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
