I've tried using this site so many times over the years, and it's slowly degraded into a cess pool of spam and garbage. It's time something was done.

When someone takes the time to create a petition with Change.org and use this site, the absolute LAST thing they want or need is the bloody spanish inquisition reaming their petition signers to the point where nobody wants to do a damn thing.

What a complete scam this website must be that it pretends that the user must do SO MUCH in order to just have their voice heard as part of a petition.

"Yay, You've signed the petition.
Now Create an account or we'll delete your signature!
Oh. You're already a member? Right! We're spamming you with other, unrelated stuff!
Oh. You specifically requested not to be spammed? We don't care. Here's more spam
Oh... that's specifically illegal? Right! We'll make it look like it's a message from a petiton owner!
Oh, by the way. Remember that thing you just signed? Confirm your Email again or we'll delete your signature!
Yay! It's confirmed. Now give us money.
Wait... you won't give us money? Right! Okay. Share this post at least four times!
Oh, not going to share it?
Okay, well then sign TEN OTHER PETITIONS!" (Yes, literally they ask you to sign TEN more)
Etc. etc. Etc...

What an utterly horrible way of exploiting people who genuinely want to make a change.

Boycott this damn website and the corrupt A. F owners.

Or perhaps we should make a Change.org petition to have these people investigate their own exploitation?

I'm all for the petitions for worth causes - that's why I've been sucked into this multiple times and right away regretted. Not because of the petitions, but because of Change.org's questionable business ethics and incessant spamming.
I've just received 4 emails in total in a span of 3 hours AFTER I unsubscribed from all emails from Change.org.
Don't the geniuses at change.org realize that people HATE getting spammed every freaking hour? Are they dumb or something?
I just don't get it. Why bother people non-stop? WHY?

We donated to Change.org in March 20. We found it to be a recurring monthly charge, even though that wasn't our intention. So on the day the money was taken again in July 20, we followed the advice and went to our membership on Change.org, and cancelled the monthly recusing charge. I watched my partner do it and get the confirmation. But again this month we have the same re-occurring charge. There is no possible way to contact a actual human being at Change.org to try and resolve this, so we cancelled the Credit Cards with our Bank, and this will stop them from taking another payment next month. We think Change.org is ripping people off and they need to ‘change' there ways. No more $$$ donations ever again to them.

Financed by the same transnational elites that sponsor the civil unrest at Ukraine and Syria. Not a NGO at all, but merely a front for the furthering of the agendas of the western powers and it's backers.

Be careful when contributing to a cause on this site. I thought I was making a one time contribution to promote one cause but to my dismay, there was another charge the next month. I looked back through my junk mail and right after I got the email thanking me for my "one time contribution" there was another email welcoming me as a member and reading further in the email it thanked me for a monthly reoccurring payment. I did not authorize nor would I have authorized a monthly payment. I do not have the kind of money to contribute monthly.
So be careful. I personally would not take the chance. I will never contribute to this site again.

Now 98 of my 980 email inbox are petition spam and 142 of them are of endcitizensunited a PAC that is raising money to illegalize the act of PACs raising money. I have edited the wikipedia page of change.org to include references of its spamming which are quickly reversed, probably by that greedy downie jennifer dulski herself.

I dont trust change.org. I believe they intentionally remove campaigns from circulation to prompt the person to pay. They will put the campaign front and center for a day or two and yank it back to coerce more payment. That's wrong. They artificially deflate the views by keeping the campaign from circulation.

I launched a campaign and I paid to have it initially circulated. Support came in quickly. When I got to 200 likes then suddenly there was a hard stop. It's been several months now and I'm still sitting at the same number of supporters. Throughout that period change.org kept requesting I send them money. I would not. Not only do they request money from the person who created the campaign, supporters of the campaign are constantly being asked for money. The requests pop up endlessly and appear to be a way the person can support the campaign but the money really goes to change.org. You have to read the small print.

That's unethical, dishonest and deceitful.

Just create a campaign through a blog or social media and pay seo people to support it.

Have something that you believe so strongly in and want to change or start a petition about and need signatures. This site is absolutley wonderful if you have a heartfelt mission and want to share it with others and make a difference in your life or the life of others. Here you can start a petition about something you believe in and want to share with the world and get signatures in order to help to make a difference or sign others petitions from all over the world to help to create change and make a difference. Its a great place for people to help oneanother who have the same ideas and beliefs. It really feels like someplace where people come together help eachother and stand together as one.

I start a petition June 15,2021 and paid the highest amount of donation asked by change.org with the promise to get over 5000 signatures and help to promote my petition on their website! They took the money, some one contacted me by text message that he's going to help me hoe promote my petition! First of all I had no access to my petition in my account to edit it according the change. Org coach and there is no way to get hold on help and support, every time I tried to promote my petition on face book messenger, the only option recipient would get was two options either to chip in money or share, I was getting reply that we don't get the option to sign your period, the signing red box for petition would stay for very short time then would change to chip in or share I had such a frustrating experience with change.org, bottom line I must say; CEO's of change.org make money of other people misery he doesn't care about changes, change.org is corporate for profit stop supporting them by signing,,,

Gay marriage
June 27, 2015

After swing the email commending that the federal government thinks gay marriage is legal. This is the destruction of the moral decay of this country. The love
Between a man and a woman, a man and man
Or a woman and a woman is great. But marriage between a man and a woman should be honored as a sacred place for marriage. No disrespect to any gay person but what an organization like change.org give the one sided view. I'm glad I'm Roman Catholic in my beliefs
It will never become part of my belief

Very disappointed. I donated to a petition to help. This was a one off donation. Next thing I know my account is debited the following month. Thieves. Shady and untrustworthy.

I started a petition to make Florida a No Kill State for shelter animals---I invested time and money to do blasts and had over 4000 signatures. Change.org all of a sudden, and with no notification, removed my petition and refuses to answer my emails. Not quite sure how this could possibly offend any decent human being. Bec Wilson, Fbien Chazot, Danny Moldovan, Mike Jones, Ben Rattray and Mark Dimas: What the hell is going on over there!?

I wrote a petition to arrest Dr. Anthony Fauci for crimes against humanity. Specifically, it addressed his withholding hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin from prescribing physicians for early treatment of Covid. Instead Fauci pushed remdesiver, which caused kidney failure and subsequent pulmonary edema. Thousands needlessly died as a result. This blackballing of the two drugs which could have saved lives and the use of the deadly remdesiver was driven by economic interests.

Change deleted my petition on the grounds that it violated community standards, namely that it spoke the truth against the Facebook party line of deception.

change.org a "for profit organization" does violate invididual privacy. It became a cheap board publishing anonymous petitions, individuals vs individuals and does block you the get the chance to verify the petitioner or remove the petition if there is no proof of accusations. Instead using the site for social change, anyone can blame you, publish and defame you, being anonymous. They will do nothing about because they are dedicated to get BILLIONS in sponsorship. GET CHANGE ORG REGULATED against privacy violation and monopoly.

Pretty good
August 2, 2020

I like that it has a Search function. Most others don't. I can search before starting ANOTHER petition on the same topic.
Lots of Canadian content too!

This must be some kind of scam. I never even remembered signing up to paying them $14 per month and they keep charging me even though I cancelled the questionable subscription. Stop charging me.

Wouldn't let me post the petition. No info as to why. Just said there was an error. Found out after that it's a for-profit company. Hope they go bust. What a waste of time.

I responded to an environmental petition on change.org, and made what I thought was a "one time" contribution to the specific petition's organization. But when I reviewed my bank statement, it said "recurring contribution" to change.org. With no mention of the specific petition I wanted to support. I thought I would be able to go to their website and cancel the "recurring contribution" payment designation, as can be done on other public interest websites. But their help page was useless. It claims that its "Settings" utility opens a drop-down menu containing an option called "Manage Contributions" where, ostensibly, you might cancel the specific "recurring" contribution. But in fact the drop down menu does not show any such option (fraud?), and after spending a good 90 minutes combing the site for help, I could find nothing there to further help me do what I needed to do. (By comparison, the ActBlue payment processing website makes the problem described above easy to resolve). And so far I can find no telephone contact number for change.org, which gives them an "F" grade for transparency. So I completely cancelled my account with them, hoping that I will not see another charge to my bank account next month from them. Beware of change.org!
