Bunch of thieves who continue to take money after you've left and blame YOU!
Had to get my bank involved.
Awful people.

So, lwhere do I start. I joined the site and canceled after a period of time as per the C-Date cancellation process, however, it didn't cancel. Then I recieve a letter from CMS debt collection in Germany chasing 91 euros! Went on site to see if I could confirm I have canceled and yet when I try I get a big warning page telling me I need to contact the debt collection agency. So I have emailed C-Datez discriminate asking them to remove all my account information and contact details and confirm cancellation of my account today. Yet to receive a response. I called the debt collection agency and spoke to Genc who confirmed he will contact C-Dates on my behalf so I emailed him my email to C-Dates including screen shots of similar reviews of people with same issue. C-Dates is intentionally making it difficult to impossible for members to cancel their memberships therefore contravening consumer standards. This falls under EU legislation too. (I'm in uk). This is a scam and one where they attempt to get people to pay for a service that they say people have signed up to for a min period. This was obviously not clear to people when they sign up. Again contravening consumer law. For a German debt collection agency to chase up, what is a small amount of money, from someone in the UK is not feasible. Plus they don't have immediate jurisdiction. They have to go through an expensive route to enforce which would make it non viable. However, C-Dates rely on those few that do pay and that's how they and cms get some money. I will be issuing a cease and desist notice to both companies and reporting them for GDPR failures. Hope this helps others in same situation.

Utter scam and rip-off. There are legit sites that can be trusted, e.g. AdultsFinder.club
I'm fully content with it and I'm happy that I finally found a worthy site. But C-date is con company. They are consummate criminals! They just take money from your card via bogus charges and automatic renewals without your authorization. The sum of money that is charged is always bigger than you expected. The quality of their service is zero: everyone wants to cancel their membership (and everyone struggles to do it) because there are basically no real profiles on C-date. The reply rate is very low and you just keep wasting your time and money.

As a dating website C Date is hopeless. Fake profiles abound. I didn't meet anyone.

But it gets worse, much worse... when you sign up for a trial you unwittingly consent to an auto renewal for the maximum period, which costs around $150 US. They bury this information so deep in their terms and conditions it would take a good lawyer to understand it. If you don't pay they threaten you with debt collectors and then set out by email the terms of the "contract" you allegedly agreed to. Why don't they set out these terms clearly at the point at which you agree to a 3 month trial? Easy, it's because no-one would knowingly sign up to such a scam.

Even if you do try and cancel before the end of the trial period they make it as difficult as possible for you to do this.

C Date isn't so much a dating website, it's a means of extracting money from people. It should be closed down. The only way you can pay off the outrageously unfair unpaid "fees" they demand is by expensive international bank transfer; normal online payment means all block them: says it all really.

They suck you in for only $5 only to scam you a couple of months latter stating you have not unsubscribed & now you owe us $107 or we will take legal action. It is in their fine print. Had thought I unsubscribed, make sure you get a reference No. Also most of their members are fake profiles, there are a lot of scammers on the site too. Don't waste your hard earned $$$ am using Match & RSVP a lot better & you know what your up for $ wise.
