Avoid CashForUsedLaptop - Dishonest and Untrustworthy

I sent my device to CashForUsedLaptop based on their promise of payment within one business day of receiving the package. However, that promise turned out to be false advertising. Once I contacted them about the delay, they conveniently updated their website to change this guarantee, trying to cover up their lies.

It's been [insert time here], and I still haven't received payment. Their customer service is the worst—completely unhelpful, unresponsive, and unwilling to provide real updates. At this point, it feels like they're just stealing devices sent to them.

This company is incredibly shady. If you're considering using them, don't risk it. You're better off selling your device elsewhere to avoid this kind of scam.

They're a bigger scam than I realized. I came across these jerk offs through a company that supposedly buys apple tablets and used laptops. On the phone they go by names like "Jay Smith" "Alex" "Doug" but thick middle eastern accents. Course no one who really is from the middle east has names like Jay Smith, Alex and Doug! Turns out there is a slew of companies with the same MOBILE number and the same 2 physical addresses. I contacted the police on them today. I'm also reporting them to the FTC as well as itc.gov They're clearly huge scam artists with numerous operations. Stay away from this company and any company affiliated with this address

I did not have a good experience on the amount of time it took for me to get my payment because it took days longer than originally stated and the communication was not good. Even though we had a holiday during the time, it still took days longer because they make their payments in "batches". Also, the amount I was quoted went way down because the company told me the warranty could not be transferred, even though the laptop maker said the warranty followed the computer, which was brand new. The box had never even been opened. I would NOT recommend their services. Ineffective communication and the amount was way less than the quote. I wonder how many people this has happened to? If you disagree with the quote, you have to pay for them to ship your equipment back to you and then start over. I'll bet not many people opt for that.

The laptop is delivered yesterday and I tried to contact them for status. However, Texts, calls, emails, NO Response at all. It makes me very nervous for the situation.

Overall pretty happy. I was offered less than what I was quoted after they looked at my laptop, but they explained in detail the reason for the lower offer. They were friendly and efficient in processing the sale. I would also like to mention that I had contacted several different companies about selling my laptop, and no one accepts Chromebooks, apparently. Cash For Used Laptop was the only company willing to purchase my Chromebook, so thank you!

They give great customer service, Was always notified during the transactions.
Very polite, and very fast turn-a-round.
They made everything so simple to complete this process.
I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell older equipment.

Kept my laptop and offered me $10 on an original quote of $150. They hound you to send them your device but never answer any questions or ship it back once they get it. At least other sites pay for return shipping. DO NOT USE, WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!

-communication was timely and they were very professional
-the "offer" was less than the "original quote" but everything was explained in detail and they provided pictures as well so I could understand why they chose to adjust the prices.
-I recommend selling in bulk here. There is an 80% chance you will not like the "offer" once they evaluate your tech if you are only selling one item.

On their website they offered us $70 per laptop for "good condition" units. These were near mint. Once they received them from us, they made us an offer, they only offered us $25 ea. Saying they showed signs of use. They also said that the units were defective due to only having 62% of battery life left. It was never mentioned in their offer that this would be the case. They said we can send them back if we paid the shipping, which was going to cost $28. Don't send any laptops to these shysters!

Great communication and service from the team, overall a great experience. Even when the quote and offered price were difference due to the device issues detected by there experts, they work with you on the value of the equipment, it is a fast and simple process. I will use their service again, I recommend this company.

They were the only ones who would accept my old laptops. I didn't get much money for them because they were broken but they recycled what could not be used.

Shady company. Offers one price and then gives bogus reasons for paying a different one. Also pays 15 dollars for 5 star reviews on here and trust pilot, which is a violation of terms of service. Would not recommend.

So this company is the best I have found close to me but also even I'd you far away they are very redorctfull,efficient and reliable. They explain their procedures very thoroughly. And you can speak to anyone very efficiently. And they return your call in a timely manner. So give them a try. I researched about 23 companies but the rest of them are a hassle. But they were the. To my knowledge they pay higher for all your old laptops and notebooks.

They were very nice in the process of sending the laptops. You get a prepaid shipping label. When it's time to talk about the price, they offer a price and an option to send back your laptops if you are not satisfied. Along with that, they also kindly explain why they offer that particular price.

Overall process was very quick. Shipping label was emailed to me within a day, and they reviewed the laptops within 24 hours of delivery. Although I disagree with their assessment/value of the laptop, it was still easier than trying to sell myself.

They did a thorough-out test within one day of receipt and replied to me with a detailed condition report and a renewed appraisal. I am actually convinced that's a fair offer after reviewing the condition report. I appreciated their candidacy.
