My son is in the military and 20 years old. He is stationed in SC so we helped him buy a car and did it through carvana so that we could get it dropped to him. We even planned a trip so that I could sign for it as the primary on the loan. Everything up to that point was amazing. They dropped the car off we gave the driver the check and showed the insurance information. Then it all went to garbage. Carvana reaches out a few weeks later saying that either the driver lost the check or we did not provide one. Which, would they have actually given us the car if we didn't provide the check? Is that really a possibility? My son is the co-applicant on the loan so I told them we can get the check reissued through our credit union but I can sign it however he is in SC. The rep comes back and says Navy Fed has lightened there restrictions for co-applicant loans your signature will suffice. Send the check in, get an email a week later we are sending you the check as it's missing a signature. Go back and forth with them. End up having to get the check signed by my son as well. Then they reached out and his insurance policy is no good on the car It has to be in my name in order to register the vehicle. None of this by itself is terrible but everything that could go wrong went wrong and they communicated none of it until the last minute. His temp registration is about to run out and there is no time to get it all done. His car can't be on base unregistered so its a complete disaster. I would never recommend carvana to anyone. They have no idea what they are doing. Their people are all very nice though even through my frustration they keep their calm and are very polite but its just not worth the hassle
Carvana has been the WORST car buying experience we ever had. First they tried to sell us a car that was damaged in transport (for no discount). Then new car was missing things. Then sent wrong VIN and car info to state and couldn't register. Now over 2 months later, My tag expired and Carvana won't help.
Carvana did not start my car registration until AFTER the first car payment was scheduled a few weeks later. THEN there was only a week until the temporary tag expired! Our state does not allow additional temporary tags so now they want me to drive on expired tags!
To whom it may concern,
I am in the process of purchasing a 2021 Dodge Charger from Carvana. The pickup date was scheduled for August
19th, at noon. Today, August 18th, I removed the Carvana Protection Plan from my purchase order, due to personal
Reasons. To my shock and dismay, I was immediately penalized and my pickup time was delayed until August 27th, 9
More days without transportation. I was hopeful that the advertised ease of purchasing a Carvana vehicle was
Accurate and true.
However, after spending 2 hours on the phone with Carvana representatives, I was told that because I changed my
Order to exclude the Carvana protection plan, my delivery process completely starts over.
Carvana representatives also said that I can request to have a supervisor call me back, but if the supervisor does not
Have time to get back to me by noon tomorrow, my order will be placed on hold, and the pickup date will continue to be
Moved further out. At this point, I am strongly considering NOT purchasing a vehicle from Carvana, because I will be
Fired from my job if I do not have transportation by this Saturday.
The frustrating part of all this is that there are no direct communication lines with persons of authority to assist
Customers when it really matters. Carvana's promises displayed on the website, at this very moment, are shown
Below. Print means absolutely nothing if paying customers are forced to wait 9 days to obtain an automobile!
Misleading current and future customers who are potentially spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to support
Carvana business is not the recipe for success. Word of mouth can be just as damaging as "good reviews". My hope
Is that this reaches Carvana leadership, because I am certain that I am not the first or last person to be treated as if my
Business JUST DOESN'T MATTER.

One STAR sadly! We purchased a 2015 Nissan Altima from carvana a month ago we have literally only made 1 payment. However today the brakes on the car is bad. We took it over to Caliber collision they informed us that we need to get it done or approved by SliverRock, they denied the repairs (Indicated it was normal wear and tear). Contacted carvana the agent said there is nothing they can do because Carvana requires the minimum brakes to pass inspection, she went on to say that they didn't fix the brakes because that would increase the cost of the car. She said they don't do repairs before selling their vehicles as this affects the pricing. How can they say they can't cover replacement brakes on a car purchased 1 month ago. Buyers BEWARE! I month after purchasing I am forced to put in $1000 in brakes and pads etc. To make this worst had to stay home from work until I can actually afford the brakes, losing income, with the expectation that a note should be paid.
I made the mistake of buying a car from Carvana. I took the car to the mechanic one day after delivery and he found a huge rat nest on the motor plus the cabin filter was so clogged with hair and peanut shells that the A/C wouldn't cool. They said they do a 150 point inspection but obviously that was not done as they did not even open the hood. "Advocate" there told me that could have happened after I got the car - I had it for one day! Now the tires have broken belts, are dry-rotted and the struts and shocks and brakes have to be replaced too. Unfortunately I trusted them and did not realize the car had so many problems until after the 100 days they allow for any repairs. Now they will do nothing. Avoid Carvana or get a lemon like I did!
They do everything in their power to not payout a claim. My first claim was covered by Carvana 100-day coverage. I likewise had the carvanacare premier plan. I purchased the vehicle a month ago.
They denied my claim for a tire rotation and wheel balance. The repair shop wanted to do a wheel balance to see if it would fix the vibrations at high speeds. SilverRock claimed that was maintenance and would not pay the claim although I just purchased the car and it was not routine maintenance.
When I explained that all my maintenance was supposed to be covered for the first year or first 15,000 miles, they told me it doesn't cover that type of maintenance. The problem was caused when Carvana put new tires on before I purchased the vehicle. The tires we're installed improperly but they stuck me with the bill, although they claim you have a 100-day warranty.
Furthermore, Carvana advertised their carvancare premier coverage as a bumper to bumper warranty. They fix dings, dents, and tires but the rotations that are needed due to the tires being out of alignment are not covered.
Lastly, there is car paint misted all over the windshield and over the front headlights. It's clear there was some sort of repair done because upon careful inspection small blotches of paint are on different parts around the car. It's, obvious a new window had been installed as well because of the paint chipping around the windshield. This is suspicious because the car was suppose to have had no accidents reported.
Unfortunately, I did not notice until after the 7 days. I believed them when they said I had 100 days to report and issue and they would fix it. I think I will just cancel SilverRock, I mean why bother to file the claim as they fought so vehemently not to pay the first one.
Both companies are ridiculous and I warn would-be customers to just go the traditional route to buying a new vehicle. In my opinion, Carvana and SilveRock are terrible companies preying on consumers. I would not recommend either of them.
This has been a very expensive learning experience. Please don't make the same mistake.
I recently purchased a 2016 Acura LX from Carvana. I had the car inspected by my mechanic that I have gone to for 10 years and he told me that the car had horrible body work done and had obviously been in at least one accident. The car also had a tremendous amount of rust and would likely cost me a signifigant amount of money in the future so the mechanic recomended I return it. Carvana gave me no trouble as they have a pretty straightforward 7 day return policy. I picked out another 2016 LX with ******* less miles on it then the first one I got, and had that one inspected as well. The report on this car was even worse then the first one. It had been in several accidents, had awful body work and paint job, was giving them error codes, and also had a probelm with the transmission. Carvana says none of their cars have been in accidents and they all go through a 175 point inspection. I would really like to see those points because I truly think they are a scam company who attempts to sell lemons to people. In addition to the $400 I spent to have both cars inspected, the situation has also caused me a great deal of stress. I am returning the second car and will not be trying out a third "accident free 175 inspection point" piece of $#*! from Carvana. I would highly recomend everyone stay away from this company.
The car was rescheduled for delivery four days after the original delivery date but there was backup in the mail in general. I was sitting there thinking the guy was going to be very late but it arrived seven minutes after the mentioned time so it was fine, perfect actually. It was very simple. He came in, unloaded the car, asked if I wanted a test drive, and then signed the paperwork. Asked me if I had any questions and told me the estimate for when the metal plates arrive and that Carvana would take care of the registration and everything else. I hardly noticed the small damages that were mentioned on the car I bought. It was cuter than the pictures. A 2014 Hyundai Elantra Hatchback, silver and it drives great. I could not be happier.
PLEASE do not buy a car from Carvana! I got a car delivered yesterday, that said ZERO damage on the listing. The only "imperfection" they listed was minor staining to the center console. This car arrived with over THIRTY damaged areas, and Silver Rock has only approved FIVE for repair. When asked how long it would take to make a decision on the rest I was told 24-48 business hours. Convenient, because we leave for vacation Sunday, and by the time we return the 7 day return period will have lapsed. When asked if I could just get my car back I was told I would have to call the hub to see if it was still there, and if not they would have to put in a ticket to request the vehicle back. Again, with no timeframe in sight, and most likely not until after the 7 day return period. Plus, why am I making these calls? You lied on your listing... I paid over $6500 in cash (loan for the rest) for a vehicle that was supposed to have no damage. Do you think they offered to compensate me for any of this hassle or deception? NO. To make matters worse, even if I keep this vehicle and all repairs are approved, I was told they only pay for 8 hours of a rental. So if it's going to be in the shop for more than one day that expense falls on me. This is not fair or ethical. After making 2 other purchases through Carvana that weren't great, but weren't this bad either, my outlook on Carvana has completely changed. Save yourself the time, energy, and hassle. Go to a dealership
Bought a car online bought insurance and they never delivered the car said they had issues with it bs
Everything seemed fine until the 30 days was up and I still have no tag! Trina told me she guarantees that I won't get a ticket and that no one has ever had issues but hello you have me driving illegally and that to me is an issue! The description of the vehicle I bought is not the vehicle I received I would stay far away
So I paid my 60k cash,
My car has been delayed 3 times,
Nothing but lies and excuses from Carvana!
Worst car buying experience ever, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, DONT BUY FROM CARVANA!
So they ask for all this documentation, yet most of the documentation is impossible to get. They aren't in business of selling cars but gathering all your personal information. Go to Carmax or buy from a bum on the street, that would be more acceptable than doing business with Carvana. Fook off Carvana.
Awful experience! Ordered car and completed all paperwork 2 weeks before delivery. 3 days before weekend pick up they change the date and time to a completely inconvenient appointment during the week and then offered no options to reschedule because 'they're all booked up' for the next week. Would rather I cancel my order than help fix their mess up after wasting 30 minutes pretending to want to help but offering no viable solutions except to pay the ridiculous delivery charge.
I bought my car and was delivered may 28th and it is now august 3rd. No plates, registration, and failure to call me about this. Completely not reliable when it comes to calling them, no help. I paid for it in full, so yes, they have taken my money. Legally, I can not drive this car. My temporary license plate expired quite a while ago. Would NEVER recommend Carvana. I still have no idea when I will be able to receive everything for my car. I bought a car that is WORTHLESS to me right now!
I have been waiting six months for tags and title. My loan company has informed me that since I can't produce a title with their name listed as lien holder, they are going to change my auto loan to a personal loan. My payment would cost me $200 more month. When I told Carvana about the payments going up and they should pay the difference, they told me that is my problem. Carvana has sold me a car without a clean title. I am now suing them for my month back.
I found a car I liked and started the order. Carvana approved me and I went through all the paperwork, bought my insurance, had a pick up day and everything. The day I signed power of attorney, they called me an hr later and said I didn't make enough money and they had to cancel the order. Isn't that illegal? Shouldn't I own the car after getting it notarized?
This past month has been nothing less than a waiting game. You purchase a car - wait three weeks, find out an hour and a 1/2 before delivery that the vehicle has engine problems and no brakes. Per the Carvana employee it wasn't going to be delivered and advised selecting a completely different vehicle, "as they wouldn't deliver this to one of the own family members". For anyone that has gone through Carvana's website - its not that simple to select another car and go through the whole uploading and registration game on a timer- but we did it again. We tried calling to see if someone could assist us by phone, can never speak to a Manager (24 - 48 hour call back time btw) and we get the same answers.
Well another delivery day has arrived and guess what - no car again! That phone call - DAY OF DELIVERY. Today was transportation issues with a rescheduled delivery date. Once again, you contact Customer Service and they cannot help you - its like reading out of a book. After reading reviews, we understand why they are like scripted answers, as they are taking calls like ours more than likely hourly We did not take the time to read reviews - as we should have. We are giving them one last try to deliver our vehicle and then we are cancelling and making our way to a dealership - the whole reason someone goes through this process, as to not have to deal with a dealership. At least there is a person standing in front of you and has immediate answers. I do not recommend Carvana to someone that needs a vehicle - or has an immediate need for a vehicle. There is no sense of urgency, because they apparently have many customers to attend to and you are just a number. Misleading... you are completely at their mercy and they know this. Its a take it or leave it attitude.
Carvana sucks. Purchased car that had broken seat, door handle and back window shattered with 1st 3 days. They won't call you back and it's a major headache
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
Carvana is a better way to buy a car. Skip the dealership and buy online. Save $1,430 on average per purchase. Free delivery. 7-day money back guarantee.
