Seven months after buying Carshield's extended warranty insurance my water pump started leaking. Even though the leakage was too slow to affect the driving, Carshield replaced the pump with my Audi dealer in an expensive undertaking.

My car was repaired without any hassle at all. All dealings were between repair shop and Car Sheild. My involvement was minimum. I had no problems at all. It did take a while for repairs to be done but that had nothing to do with Car Sheild

Not sure who's at fault, the dealership service department or Carshield. I had to take my vehicle back 3 times and finally took it home unserviced. Greatly disappointed.

It does appear that there is an out of pocket cost that needs to be approved to move forward in the repair. I no longer had a warranty on my 2018 Buick with only 16,000 miles and felt for my own peace of mind to get CarShield so that I would be covered if my car needed repairs. The monthly fee is reasonable and I no longer have to worry about expensive repairs.

I called to clarify that my CARSHIELD warranty could be transferred to a buyer for my car and the agent I spoke with assured me it could for a $50. Transfer fee!
