I've been with CarShield over three years. My car just recently broke down twice in the last couple of months. My dealer representative Heather worked with CarSheild to get my car serviced. They approved it and it was done very quickly. Thank you for such good customer service.
Repair bill for radiator 115. 75. 115. 75 - 100 deductible. 15.75 Carshield liable for. Repair shop didn't call as instructed by me to do. Fixed problem without Carshield ok! Now car shield 🛡 per verbiage in your manual is not liable for any of the repair. My first claim in 4 years of 117.15 per month payments. My description of this experience was used and abused. How do you make it better try this, "After so many years of no claim paid subscription the deductible should be eliminated!"

For a repair to be eligible under the contract, the repair facility must contact the Claims Department before any work is completed. When repairs are completed without prior authorization, the contract does not allow the claim to move forward. Your refusing to pay for the repair of my truck & Im 74 years old & thought I was investing in what I thought was an honest contract & come to find out your blaming my break down which is beyond my control, I surly didn't crawl under my vehicle & turn a knob or what ever the problem is

Initially, after calling to locate a a mechanic or SHOPPE who would accept Car Shield, I had to call the customer service. I have been a long-term customer, but was not aware of any updates or changes. I did call and was assisted by one of the Customer Service reps, and she was most graceful, very respectful and answer questions and was able to email me the locations. A local shop was available and I was able to take my vehicle in to be evaluated. It was not mentioned by them Mechanic or by Customer Service that there would be an inspection of work that needed to be done. I do understand the purpose, but would've liked to know that prior to the work being done.

Before I can give much of a review. I will have to continue with my account and see how everything goes if I ever have to use the plan. However, so far the representatives I have talked to over the phone were very professional and answered any questions I had satisfactorily. Purchased the Diamond coverage 4 years ago believing this would protect my family from unexpected car repairs. We experienced a catastrophic engine failure that will require a new or rebuilt engine. The car has been in the shop for more than 2 weeks without any repairs. CarShield did an inspection and seems to be trying to find anyway to deny the claim rather than provide the needed repairs. We have paid CarShield thousands of dollars for nothing at this point.

During a recent oil change, a bad ball joint and motor mount was brought to my attention. I called Car Shield and was told that they were covered items and I had to get them checked out by my local dealership. Appointment was made and the car goes in tomorrow for diagnosis.

My vehicle was in the shop for over a week for something that should have taken at most two days. Vehicle went to the shop on a Tuesday and waiting on a Car Shield inspector was the initial delay which didn't happen until late Friday. Then apparently that office isn't open over the weekend so had to wait until Monday for the authorization. Then after finally getting authorization to do the work, I had to decide to wait at least two more days for the Car Shield provided part or pay more out of pocket for the shop provided part.

For the most part, I am satisfied. I felt like Car Shield was slow at first in responding to my mechanic. I also think Car Shield should look into the hours they will pay for. They would not cover all my hours. Customer service was really nice to deal with.
