It really works!

I am not a person who usually buys warranties/ protection plans but I am so grateful that I did and that Carshield is helping me get me back on the road after my engine failed. They have been considerate and helpful so far and I believe this will all work out.

Positive though slow response.

I am glad that my claim was approved but feel sorry that the process was dragged out a little longer than I expected. Thankfully, the advisor from Toyota of Melbourne helped to resolve some of the hitches and glitches.

Disappointed
October 20, 2025

Having no income for a couple of months, I called and talked to a representative about this and he made arrangements to pause my automatic payment till the end of October.
I started getting notifications about my automatic payment be taken out at the first of October, so I called again and talked to another representative, and she confirmed that the automatic payment would not be taken out till the end of October, but the was not the case. It was taken out on the 6th of October.
I was completely lied too.
What kind of company is this?
I think I should look at canceling my membership and finding a better one, the does what they say they will do.

Very organized and easy

I would recommend this service to you. As soon as you contact service they take over and organize with the repair location. You are given a claim number. Payments are made directly to the repair shop. When you pick up your vehicle the balance of the deductible and any additional parts or service is paid to them. Thanks you for your continued good service.

Without a ride,

They spent days processing the problem, and then ordered the replacement transmission and its at least 17 days out and then 3-4 days installing and we get a rental car for 14 days and total days without the truck is going to be around 30 days, but it we got a rental for 14. Wow that part really sucks and needs improvement.

DISAPPOINTED
October 17, 2025

I was hoping I could have been covered when my car went bad, with me able to go only 10mph. I got the car to a garage, where they did fixed the problem and then I submitted the bills. They were denied because I didn't get "prior approval". I was told that I should have had the garage call CS and explain what was happening. Meanwhile, I needed to get the car fully functioning again. Had a known about the "prior approval" doctrine, I could have followed it accordingly and gotten reimbursed. Guess I'll know for next time, but this still was disappointing.

Fixing the billing

Received a call from an associate asking about a recent change in payment. Had to change payment information so that the billing would be taken care of in a timely manner. Don't remember the exact date but it was in mid September

No trim electric coverage

Rear cameras were pushed in and warning sound was constantly going off. CarShield said trim piece that cameras were set on was not covered. Cost me $930.00 out of pocket. This does not sound right. Trim piece had to be removed to get to cameras that were replaced.

Not happy with this company

I brought my van to the authorized Dodge dealer in Washington, MO. Your company sent out an inspector twice for a bore scope. Then they wanted a third bore scope, the dealer said its not going to change from the first to the third. So i contacted your claims office twice. The first customer service person said that I should have no problem with getting it fixed. The second time i offered what the dealership offered to take pictures of the engine head. But you said no, just another bore scope will have to be down. The dealership did not want to wait for your inspecters to come out. Then i get a voice mail call from your company saying that my claim is closed. Also they offered to bring it to anthor shop. So, I am out over $4,800, because of your company. I also called the person who sold me this policy. He did not return my call after i texted him the information and the claim number. Here is the claim number *******. You can contact Schicker Dodge. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the monthly Powertrain Gold plan. You might think you are covered for the powertrain, but you may not be. Read and reread and get a mechanic to read the coverage that you are getting. My transmission started giving me trouble, took to a dealer. I was told that I would be responsible for any portion CarShield did not pay. Dealer contacted CarShield and it was denied based on the warranty (some parts in the transmission are not covered). Again, please read what is covered under the warranty. This is going to cost me 4000 dollars plus the monthly payments that I have made.

Was 6 days late hearing from my claim and my rental ran out. Was charged way too much for labor from the garage that is out of my control. Not at all was was advertised and I'm without a car.
