Spoke to billing department and asked them to change my billing date.

I don't remember reading or being told the taxes ARE NOT PAID. They don't pay for anything that is not the problem like oil change or coolant when you have a waer pump done. My vehicle also had to have a timing chain replaced because of the water pump, the repair facility had to fight with them. The repair facility had to wait for car shield to send them the parts, couldn't just order them so that the person paying a pricey premium can get their vehicle back in a reasonable time.

The customer support has been great but between Ford of Clermont and Carshield I've been waiting for them to come back with the decision as to approve the repairs and Ford to provide the necessary information required.

The young man gave a presentation after which I told him I was not interested. He gave his pitch again and I had to be a little assertive when started again. I complemented him on sales pitch, then I pointed out I had politely told him I was interested twice and was now on the verge of not being polite. I TOTALLY BLAME HIS SUPERVISOR Or farther UP THE LADDER. I am now considering other options for my vehicle coverage.

I have been with Car Shield for over a year. It's a great company when you make your payments and don't need their services. I put in a claim with one of the two recommended car repair facilities that were on their website. Car Shield has you pay for the breakdown and investigation of any repair that you need. My portion of that was $1,200, not the $100 deductible that is quoted in their ads. Car Shield also expects the car repair facility to use less than the factory approved parts to repair your vehicle. If you want the factory approved parts, you are expected to pay the difference out of your pocket. You can switch car repair facility, but you are still on the hook for the breakdown. Last night when I went to bed I was told I had to pay $1,200 dollars to get my car back. Today when I received an update the price has grown to $2,200 and it may not be over. My recommendation is that you avoid Car Shield like the plague. As soon as this episode is over I will be a former customer.

Needed to replace my credit card as someone got the numbers. Called Car Shield and explained what happened and gave her the new numbers, it was over in a matter of seconds! I was pleasantly surprised that there were no long waits and elevator music to endure!
