#1: When you call, record date time and exact name of who you speak to.
#2: This is not processed like normal credit cards,. One balance for seperate purchases and interest is for all purchases totaled.
Care credit uses each purchase seperate.
Example: bill is 280.00, not paid within promotional period, interest is 150.00... card is used 2nd time, also not paid by end of promotional period. 300$ interest.
So, accrued interest is for EACH visit, not total balance on card.
They ARE making a killing!
#3. DO NOT GO PAPERLESS STATEMENTS.
Review each statement meticulously.
We called, and needed to change due date,
Employee did not change it in the system, leaving us with late payment fees. Because payment wasnt made in the "cycle". Adding fees plus interest for 3 bills took a bill totaling 3,6205 to over 6200. 00$.
We never missed a payment, not one.
Very deceptive practice.

Total scam
November 3, 2018

Do not use this company. They steal your money. They tell you that if you pay in two years, they won't charge interest. The truth is that I was paying more than I owed monthly to finish before and they charge illegal fees. I don't recommend it. Do not apply for credits with them. Alert not to use. My monthly payments were $117 a month and I paid more and they charged me with illegal interest fees that say they don't charge. See the image. It's total scam.

This is a scam! They Charge you interest on money you have already repaid them! This is Loan Sharking! They tell you up front that it is interest free for so many months at the end of the period they charge you interest on the original amount of the loan regardless of any payments you have made. I repaid over half of my loan and they hit me with an interest charge of $4000. 00 Avoid these crooks at all Cost!

Total Crap
October 27, 2018

I didn't think it could bad to worse with this card but it did. My wife has a card in her name but cannot talk to their customer service without my expressed permission. Yesterday we were out of town at a specialized clinic and try to pay a vet bill and CareCredit denied approval because my cell phone number did not match theirs. (I've had CC for years and changed my cell phone last year) All other info matched, I was told to go home (150 miles) and make a call from our other phone, which is a land line! Then we were told we had fraudulent charges on our card but refused to tell us what they are. Now we have a hold on our cards for no reason whatsoever because we did nothing! Ok, they are being reported to the BBB. Cards are being shredded. This company is not truthful. Horrible to do business with.

DO NOT USE
October 24, 2018

I've been a Care Credit Customer for many years and have never been late for a payment and have always paid my balance in full before the end of the agreement. This one time, I missed it and they said there was a 30 day grace period and I missed it by 7 days. They charged about $330 in interest when I only owed $800. I was actually getting ready to start a new agreement for another medical charge after I paid the $800 balance. Even though I said I was going to pay that in full and start a new agreement, they still charged the $330. So guess what, I am not going to use them again. They lost my business and they get a 1 star review.

If you dont keep a balance on the card they cancel you. Had this card for a year. Paid it off every time I used it. Jist paid it off again in August but havent used it since. They arent in the business of providing healthcare focused financing options they're in the business of issuing you a card and hoping to make money off your misfortune of needing it and not being able to pay it off in full each time.

Borderline Scam
October 23, 2018

Got into a sticky situation with several thousand in emergency vet bills that I couldn't afford in full at the time and encouragement from the clinic to use them. I encourage you to use literally any other credit card if you need to. I have been unable to "register" my account which has to be done to pay/close the account, and when trying to call and speak to a person, got stuck in an infinite loop of robot voice "assistance". There's also a link in one of the emails I've received to chat to a representative, but I can't do that without my account being activated. When searching the website for an email address to reach out to, I found that there is a portal to email customer service, but again only if you are logged in. Also, I'm still well within the interest free period, but according to the paper statements I've received I am already getting charged interest.

DO NOT USE THEM

I'm pregnant, unemployed, about to go back to school after I deliver and they can't even lower my payments or work with me until I get my school loans in 5 months. They are ridiculous. I've been a paying customer for 9 years now and they don't even care. Carecredit should be called nocarecredit.
Interest rates are 23% which is INSANE

I am shocked by the bad reviews given to Care Credit. I have been using the card to pay for my LASIK surgery done in May. It is in the documentation you are given that if you do not by the promotional deadline, you will be charged interest back from the time the payment was first charged. I have been paying much more than the minimum payment so that I will pay off the loan interest-free before the deadline. If you read the terms and pay off your card on time, you will have no problems with Care Credit. Great option for interest free medical financing.

Scared
October 13, 2018

I have not signed up for Care Credit yet, but I am getting scared. I have so much dental work that needs to be done, and I have no other way of getting it down besides signing up for Care Credit or getting a loan. I really need dental work done and I no longer want to walk around with messed up teeth. I'm only 26 and shouldn't be having my teeth look the way that they do. I go to get my 4 wisdom teeth removed next Friday, but I am paying out of pocket. Everything else that I need to get fixed I don't have the money for. But at this point I don't care. I would rather have my teeth fixed and then deal with the money issues later.

I received my Care Credit card six years ago and use it often, especially at my Vet's office. There has never been a problem. I always pay more than the required minimum and have never paid any interest thus far. I think they are wonderful, and I'm so thankful to have my Care Credit card.

Care credit or Synchrony bank. I had a balance on a promotional and paid. But due to a third party billing my account defaulted. They said that the third party did not get there 40 dollars and that it had nothing to do with my promotional yet it defaulted. Makes no sense. Don't use Synchrony Bank for anything. If you do stay on top of your account they'll do anything to default you for interest. I'll be putting reviews up wherever I can find a place to put them.

I applied for Care Credit at my local vet, who recommended it to help aid in the dental surgery of my dog. So I activate my card and used it for the examination fee. I called Care Credit a couple weeks later and let them know that my dog was getting surgery. There seemed to be no issue. The representative said my bill wasn't due until next week, even though I somehow accrued a $38 late fee, which he said would be taken off on my next billing cycle. So I thought, okay - I'll get my dog's teeth cleaned and pay the bill next week.

The day of surgery comes along. I got to my vet to pay with my Care Credit card. It gets declined. They call Care Credit. A representative requests to speak with me. They tell me I have to pay my bill first before using my card again. I started to argue but because time was of the essence I said -fine - I'll give you the minimum payment early and swipe my card for the dental surgery after we get off the phone.

He says - no you'll have to wait at least 48 hours so the payment can process. Then he started talking about needing to pay for the late fee as well. I told him the late fee was taken off and this isn't the time for my card not to work. I have a sleepy pup who needs to go home and a vet that is looking at me like I'm dining and dashing.

He kept saying, "Yes, ma'am I completely understand" then goes into the - this is an attempt to collect a debt spill. I was so embarrassed, not to mention stressed from my dog having to be put under. The vet let me take my pup home and said I could pay at the end of the week. I thought I wasn't going to be able to take my dog home. It was needlessly upsetting.

I went home and made a payment. I called two days later and it still had not posted to my account. I am still waiting. Each time I call I have to talk to someone I can barely understand. I feel bad because I don't want to be rude but I have to keep asking them to slow down and speak up.

The account is run through Synchrony Bank and it is obvious from the consumer reviews, all over the Internet, that this company is a scam under the guise of medical credit. It should not be widely offered and I completely regret signing up for it.

Worse creditor ever
September 20, 2018

I know that I would get charged a late fee for being late with my payment, but I have never received so much harassment. I am never 30 days late on my payments and I pay the late fee, but they call several times a day, hang up in my face when I answer the phone, and they decreased my limit. Thank God I was not maxed out, but I feel that they are overly aggressive and when I pay them off I will never use them again! I have several credit cards and a mortgage and if I am late they charge their late fee I pay it and that's it, but this company with their repeated ghost calls are getting ridiculous. I do not recommend them to anyone. And I will be calling the BBB as well!

CARECREDIT SUCKS
September 20, 2018

Do not waste your time getting a carecredit care with them. They are LIARS, MISLEADING, SCAMMERS AND JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE of company to ever deal with. If you do a promotion and have interest free for whatever amount of time, DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL ONLINE as convenience. They do not apply any of your payments to the promotion. You actually have to waste your time on the phone to tell some incompetent person to process your payment to the promotion. Although they have you pay online... DO NOT DO IT. I have filed a complaint to the BBB.

TOTALLY DISGUSTED! THEY SUCK AND DESERVE 1 STAR!

I have used CareCredit interest free for multiple things for many years. Had no problem until they switched it to a MasterCard. I have called 3 times now to get errors fixed. I will cancel this account as soon as everything is cleaned up and done.

Very misleading
September 18, 2018

I used Care Credit for some expensive dental work. I was lured in by the promise of interest-free financing for 2 years but if not paid in full on time then the interest is ridiculous. Sounds good, right, as long as you pay within the 2 years. This is smoke and mirrors because, as I understand it, the interest for the interest for the interest free period is just charged to the dentist who in turn tacks it on to your bill. You might be much better off applying for a regular credit card with an intro interest-free periods like 15 or even 21 months for a couple of cards I've seen. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I did for some more dental work I needed instead of falling for the Care Credit ruse.

Disgusting!
September 16, 2018

This is supposed to be for low income cost pet care and families. What a joke especially after the agent in the phone laughed on the phone at us. we had an EMERGENCY pet bill for my Service Animal, the cost was $350 and we were declined. Their reason, was because e have a couple credit cards open, even tho they were current on payments. We had no other open or hope to pay this bill, since toy can't leave the office without payment for services rendered. I suggest You STAY AWAY FROM this CORRUPT CARE CREDIT. They are frauds!
