I got some gift cards from my credit card using my points, thought I would get 90% of the value rather than only get 50% to put toward my credit card balance. They say it takes 1 business day to review and approve. Three days later I get this:
" We recently received your gift card code transaction but our processing center encountered an issue while processing your cards.
Our risk assessment team has determined that we aren't able to accept the transaction at this time. We have cancelled the transaction and are returning ownership of the gift cards to you. Unfortunately, we're not able to disclose any further specifics regarding this process.
We apologize for any inconvenience to you.
Best regards,
Customer Support
Cardpool.com "
A waste of my time... Not recommended.
This moron of a company advertises "quick cash for your gift card" at kiosk locations.
I followed the steps gave machine my $100 gift card and it gave me back a visa gift card with $60 on it, WHAT THE $#*! IS THAT?! What $#*! would sell their gift card to receive another gift card of lesser value. Are you $#*!ing kidding me. This company is an all around scam!... and the stores that have these kiosks are apart of it!. Reporting these scumbags as well as the customer service, who was a complete $#*! to me when i called to get some answers on 1/8/2018 at 8:50pm!
For whatever reason Cardpool is unable to complete transactions once they are started. The result is your gift cards are held hostage for days and weeks. The dirty secret is that you can cancel the transaction on their website. In my case I did this after 4 business days after reading negative review after negative review. My cards still had all their value. And get this, one of my transactions could not be cancelled on the website because apparently it does not do that if there are multiple cards in one transaction. I emailed their customer service with "cancel transaction xxxx"in the subject line. I got a response that the transaction was cancelled within 5 minutes. Then I went to CardCash.com where I got my Amazon gift cards within a half a day. In the end I was lucky compared to other people but there was a time I thought I was going to lose $300 in gift cards. This was way too much drama and a stupid waste of time.
This company used to suck... I was warned about them... But then they got bought out. The Parent company of CardPool is now BlackHawk Network and they can be reached at *******990. I have been using Cardpool for several months now without any of the incidents I used to have in the past. The last time I had a bad GiftCard... they refunded me... Plus $10 as a thank you for my trouble. They returned my emails and returned my phone calls... I now recommed them to my friends.
I have been purchasing gift cards from Cardpool for a couple years now. I made a purchase yesterday and the gift card does not work / not valid and I have tried many times to add it to my Starbucks account. I have sent some emails to Cardpool and they just do not answer anything in a timely manner. They have your hands tied when it comes to speaking with them and getting something resolved right away. Gonna have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. A complete waste of a couple hours of my time when a phone call may have solved my problem in a timely manner. Sorry Cardpool but I am done with your company.
I was skeptical about using cardpool at first based on other reviews, but I was 100% satisfied with them. I ordered 2 different gift cards at separate times and received them very quickly and both worked perfectly.
I have only bought cards from them and have not sold any so I can't comment on selling
I recently made a purchase through cardpool, went through the verification process, received an email that the product was out of stock. Cardpool has not refunded my money and has not given me a product.
They take your money and then tell you there is no product. I sent several emails requesting my refund and was given the runaround. I called and spoke to a representative who told me that there were no managers I could speak with and he could not refund my money. His suggestion was that I email support.
I stayed on the phone for 25 minutes and was a laughed at and lied to. This company steals and is a scam.
I redeemed 1-800-flowers gift card with no issues. Went on website to redeem another 1-800-flowers card within days of getting check. I got confirmation, shipping label with postage and mailed card in. Then get email saying they cannot process my request and are returning card. I had to inquire as to why. I was told they no longer accept 1-800-flowers gift cards. But I went on website and they are still listed and when applied for offer, I got one. So they advertise what cards they accept, they process your request, you mail the card to them and then they change their mind. 1-800-flowers is still listed as a vendor they accept cards for. This is bad business and I hope my gift card is being returned to me.
I received a gift card. I few years ago I had used Cardpool with success. This time seems to be different.
First I entered my card number, no response. Then a few days later they said they could not verify the number. I re-read the number and called the company the gift card was myself. They took the number and verified the amount. I gave the numbers to CardPool again. Once again they could not verify the numbers. I took a picture of the card and then they were able to verify.
I was given an email on 12/30/16 stating that check would be sent to me for $75.00 in 3-7 business days. After day 10 arrived I emailed them. No response. I emailed again. No response.
I am starting to believe that this really IS a scam.
I'm sorry for all of these other people who are on here that have lost their money. But I am also relieved in a sense that I am not the only one. I hope this page discourages other people to use CardPool. Very sad.
Ordered a gift card for online says they deliver within 24 hours. Well they did not had to verify me so they did and then sent a email with the code went online to place my order with lowes and guess what the code does not work. I have emailed, I have called I have gone on facebook and twitter and bbb still no response form them. Next I guess rip off report and then my cc company to get my money back. I am going to post anywhere I can find about these scammers. And I think I will do it daily until I have my money back. Wish I had checked them out before buying or I would not be writing this as the reviews are all terrible I would have run so fast had I taken a few minutes to see what others were saying. But live and learn. To bad for them I have a lot of friends that buy cards so will not be recommending these rip offs"
I purchased an electronic gift card on a Friday. As per their site electronic gift cards are sent within 24-hours. Here it is Sunday afternoon and I have no gift card. They have no customer service phone number, only email.
I have used cardpool for years now they take the e cards you sell them and dont send you a check its been a month now no check they dont answer the phone or emails so i went on cardpool and canceled my sale to them you can cancel if they havent sold your cards stay away from this company i will never do business with them again
I ordered a electronic gift card and was charged for it but never received it. Several emails later and no response from them. It's like they aren't even there! It's too bad I have to give them a 1 star because they deserve a big fat ZERO like their support service.
THIS IS A SCAM. Do not use this website. If you sell Cardpool a gift card they will steal your money so beware. When you sell them your gift card and after they received it, they will claim that there is no money left on the card and they will blame it on you! If you buy a gift card from them it will only have a balance of $1.00 or less and since most people will not spend it immediately when you go to use it Guess what! NO cash! Again they will blame it on you. Any positive reviews that you see online for this company is posted by themselves. Use this company and lose all your money. Don't do it.
I was nervous after reading some of the reviews and yes there is no phone number and it took a while for a response to my email but, i received my check in the mail exactly one week after i sold it to them online
I purchased a set of Lowe's cards for $79.00. They arrived at my house and I checked with Lowe's. The cards are 0 value and I requested a refund. The refund arrived a week after I purchased the cards. There is a lot of bait and switch. You will get an email for something that you want. When you check it is gone but they offer a different card. Stay away from these people.
I was attracted an extra 1% compared to other companies, but it turned out to be that it was not worth. Even it was worse not to get the e-cards in three days. I contacted them by e-mail since they did not have any other way of communication channels. They even did not reply to my e-mail. I definitely do not recommend CARDPOOL.
Tried buying from them several times. They "process" orders "during business hours" - these are electronic gift cards! They feed you nonsense about security verification - shouldn't be a problem for repeat customers. They randomly cancelled my last 2 orders because "... Our risk assessment team has determined that we aren't able to process your order at this time." I asked them to explain and to confirm my identity/credit card - "Unfortunately, we're not able to disclose any further specifics regarding our risk assessment." Sound like load of crap.
The positive reviews on here are from people who work there... NOT actual customers. That gives you even more insight to what a scam this company is.
This company is a joke and no one can figure out how they're still "in business." They will take your money then never deliver your gift card. If you email them, you get a standard reply saying they will get to you in 24 hours, but never do. If you report them to the BBB, they just say "This customer's account has been closed by our risk department, so were not able to accept these orders. Per our policy, our customer support team prioritizes only those requests from customers whose accounts remain in good standing."
Or
"We understand the frustration of the customer about not receiving their intended order. According to our terms and conditions of our "Refer a Friend" program, the customer did not comply with everything that was listed."
It's shocking how not a single person gets what they ordered from them.
1 star = Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!
Thought it was pretty simple... buy a couple electronic gift cards and within a day, I'd have them to use... WRONG. You have to go through so many steps. Several hours after you buy, they call to confirm, ask you questions I've never had to answer before (cross street, 800#, etc). They verified and said it would be sent via email shortly... NOPE- they then sent an email saying the card was unavailable... why wouldn't you just replace it with one that was the same amount? There are plenty on the website equaling the same amount! And now I can't use a promo code that I used with the order that is no longer available? OH MY! This has been a HUGE hassle! Now I'm just trying to cancel all of my other orders because you've pissed me off and you're not letting me do that either...
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.
