Short and Sweet... Boston Market is way to expensive for the quality and quantity of food you receive. BTW no customer training what's so ever. The employees seem to think that you should be grateful for them being there instead of them appreciating you as a paying customer, that we as customers pay there salary. They just SUCK !
I had an early Thanksgiving dinner and decided to try the catering menu. I first went there a week before and got a single turkey dinner to try it out and it was great. I ordered 2 trays of turkey breast, one tray of chicken, and a tray of mixed vegetables. The only thing that tasted like Boston Market was the Chicken. The Turkey breast tasted and looked weird, like it wasn't fresh and microwaved from being frozen. Texture was weird. The mixed vegetables were undercooked and loaded with black pepper, which was not the way they tasted when I had the single meal. The chicken was great. Very little of the turkey was eaten, and it wasn't cheap! On another note, the parking lot is a trip disaster with potholes and stones everywhere. The appearance of this market needs a lot of love!
I went to Boston Market in Staten Island on Forest Ave and their food and service was horrible! The food was often cooked badly and the people who work there were often very rude to me. This happened on many ocassions. On Thanksgiving, I went to buy a turkey, and the line was so long it went through the parking lot. They did nothing to make the line move faster and after waiting in the cold for several long hours I finally got a turkey and it tasted horrible! It was not cooked well. No good. Don't go to this place.
Avoid at all cost. I went there for Thanksgiving dinner and try to order a turkey, stuffing, and sweet potatoes. I was told I could only order the approved dinners. I stated that I would be happy to pay extra for the sweet potatoes but that caused a ruckus with all of the staff. I felt like I was being bullied upon and even by the manager. All I wanted to do was pay extra for sweet potatoes and I ended up leaving with no food and feeling as if I was beat up upon by their staff. I will never go back to a Boston market again. Worst place ever in Seminole Florida.
Boston Market does NOT pay their sub contractors for service work done. They hired S Star Electric out of Littleton, CO to do work at several of their locations in the Denver metro area and have not paid their 8 invoices amounting to $12,000. We have submitted paperwork for liens in each county. If you are a contractor, DO NOT do work with them, as you will NOT get paid for your services. Better yet, stay far away from Boston Market Corporation as they don't answer their phone, have their doors locked at the corporate office in Golden, while employees are inside, and have zero contact information on social media. Hopefully this review will help them understand how hurtful they are to other companies that have provided services for them.
At 6:27 pm on may 9 2023 I walked up to the Boston market at 4310 w broad st Columbus Ohio just to find a sign on the door that said lobby closed drive thru only seeing as I am in a semi truck that is not an option for me so I tried ordering online to pick up at the curbside and they had all online ordering shut down so I walked up to the window and seen an employee inside as soon as he seen me he ran to the back of the store to hide so I tried not once not twice but 4 times to call the store phone number and no one answered this is a bunch of bull$#*! I have bought and ordered a lot of food at this restaurant in the past this issue and employee need to be dealt with immediately
I used to love Boston Market. The variety, flavor, fair price, and product availability were tops. After an absence of several years, I decided to give them a try once more. Many changes occurred since I was there. The price increase was expected as most food items/products had increased in price since the pandemic. I didn't expect a heavily advertised item to be unavailable. Signs tacked up on the wall can't be removed. So, it's understandable if a product sold out. However, the store had several 3-dimensional stand alone signs on the counter which advertised an apple cobbler dessert. The signs were obviously placed there by an employee. So, what are three particular counter signs there if the store wasn't going to be selling any apple cobbler that particular day? Any thoughts on removing them from the counter so customers are not misled about a product that wouldn't be available that day? I arrived 30 minutes after the store opened and did ask if the cobbler would be made later. I'd come back - since I love apple cobbler. Nope, no apple cobbler today, but we'll keep the signs on the counter anyway! I also questioned the $2 fee added on to the creamed spinach and potatoes plus the unacceptable attempt of the employee trying to scrape the sweet potatoes clinging to the sides of an empty tray instead of providing a container of a new batch. A bad experience that will make the next visit to Boston Market something to avoid.
I loved their new fry chicken combo meal combined with the amazingly friendly staff at the Metropolitan Avenue location in Brooklyn, NY and you've got yourself a great dinner!
Sometimes the food may not be cooked thoroughly. I didn't have a good experience. Maybe you will. Would I recommend... no.
