This company reminds me of the storage facility I just left. Corporate scum. They pay you less for any slight or minor blemish. Even when you grade your book at acceptable they will find a way to pay you less. A true nickle and dimer corporation. Plus they're website frequently gives error messages for too many searches even if there are only around 5 to 8. Customer service is canned soup. Maybe spend less money on dopey grapics and focus on you're customer base. Too bad because we were both profiting

I don't usually sell my books, but I sold my senior's mostly unused history textbook to Booksrun, since they quoted $48 (new $150) for Used-Very Good (on June 10). My daughter had written her name in small writing in the inside cover (I whited it out) and had highlighted a few sentences on ONLY 2-3 pages of a several hundred paged book. After reading their conditions, I thought Very Good reflected the condition of my book.
I received an email that they downgraded it to "acceptable" on June 23 and only paid me $38 ($10 off). I emailed customer service to ask for proof of why they downgraded and didn't hear back so I emailed back on July 10. I got a very nice response on July 13 saying they carefully inspected and that was their decision. They asked if I had photos. Unfortunately I didn't take photos and responded back that I'd like to see why they downgraded it, since it didn't make sense. I heard back on July 25 with another very nice email that they already sold the book, so they can't give me details and offered me a 7% credit on my next sale (nice thought, but then I'd have to do future business with them). (Where are their photos of the book?) Maybe they consider even one highlight in the book as "acceptable."
Just make sure you if you use Booksrun, that you save proof of your book's condition and you ask them any questions you have on the condition you choose. It also could take a while to hear back from customer service if they are swamped.

They said the ISBN on my textbooks don't match what they're looking for but I sent them knowing they matched and then they quoted me less so I'm only making a couple of bucks through the entire process and then I was going to ask for a return but they do not cover the shipping. I will not be going through them again, terrible system and not worth it.

Please do not buy books from here. I accidentally ordered the wrong text book and sent them multiple emails to cancel and no response. Of course, they ship the book out and respond then. I offer to send the book back right away for a refund. They say they can't give me a refund. Seeing all the reviews they look very sketchy. I wouldn't be surprised if they get a class action lawsuit on them. "Losing books" false charges, and so much more. I will mention to my lawyer dad and see what he can do about it. I would rent with Chegg. They have been nothing but great! Now let's see if they say the book is damage which would be impossible since I only took the book out to ship it back, not once used it! I HAVE PICTURES AS WELL JUST IN CASE THEY PULL THAT. Just stay away they are scam artists!

They went straight to the debt collector and claimed I never returned the book. After I showed the debt collector an email confirming it was returned and received, they CHANGED their reason to returning it damaged with the pages ripped off along with water damage (False!). I returned it the same way I received it. They are a bunch of crooks. I am not one to write a bad review but this is a very deceitful business!

This review is about my most recent sale of books back to Booksrun. I have a collection of brand new, never read technical books I had stored on my private library shelves for years. The only very insignificant issue with the books is I had stickers on the binding for my catalog system, which I painstakingly removed as requested by Booksrun. It did not cause any damage to the binding and other than that, the books were in BRAND NEW CONDITION! I sent in 24 of these books that cost over $500 for a small price of $131. Yet, the book checkers reduced the price further to $125 stating two of the brand new books were in poor condition! I wrote to Booksrun, but they did not respond. They do not provide a telephone number. I can opt for them to return the books, but I would have to pay $10 in return shipping. BTW - Textbook Rush and other buyers have NEVER reduced the price of my books after the sale (and they usually pay more upfront for the books).

I sold 8 books worth $222 to this company. Shipped them according to their directions with their labels. Insured them through BookrRun. The shipment was accepted on 5/18. Last scan in USPS, 5/23. USPS says it is lost. I purchased insurance, so I contacted BooksRun to be reimbursed. Not only have I NOT been reimbursed, but they NEVER EVER REPLIED! 7 contacts or more to customer service. NOTHING! NO RESPONSE!;! I get confirmation emails saying they will reply in 48 hours. That is GARBAGE! It has been 35+ DAYS! I need to be reimbursed IMMEDIATELY for these INSURED books. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau! Do not use this company, they are shady crooks!
