If you have a quote subtract $10-$15 and thats what you'll get if you send them a pristine book. Mine was shrinkwrapped and accepted as "used/very good"... either their definition of new is #1 printed by the publisher -> booksrun or #2 impossibly high that nothing meets that definition. I'd sooner burn my text books then sell them to this shady business. I wouldn't be surprised if the copy that i sent them ("used/very good") isn't being sold as brand new. ***Disregard what "Matt" said about ignoring the bad reviewers saying that we send in junk. I can assure you i haven't and i can attest to what the others are saying regarding new books being marked down.***
Please don't read the bad reviews, they are probably from people sending out bad books, knowing it and still expecting to get paid and blame the company. BooksRun is a Good company. I send out VERY expensive books, and they paid me what they promised. If you have good quality books then don't be afraid to send them. Follow the instructions on how to properly package the box, take a short video of the quality of your books, just in case, DONT use USPS, only FedEx and UPS. Don't send crappy books and think you will get away with it. Booksrun paid a lot of money for my books, I'm very happy. Thank you. I recommend them for sure, anytime!

I sent a relatively expensive book back to BooksRun after settling for a roughly $100 payment. I later checked my email, only to find that they found slight water damage on one of corners of the textbook, and would not be paying me anything. I received this email roughly 4 days after it was sent, only to find that they would only keep my book for 72 hours, and if I wanted it back, would have to pay return shipping, which would've been steep for such a heavy book. So, I received nothing, and the company refused to return my textbook. This site is a complete scam. Don't get screwed over by a company that steals from you.

BooksRun stole my money, and because I blogged about their shady business practices they are refusing to refund my money. They told me, "If I want my money back I have to remove all of the negative reviews I posted," say what? They stole 216.00 out of my account without adequate notification and when I rated their service and posted about it, saying they were thieves, they out right told me because I said that, I don't get my money back, WTF! So now they are confirming what I said they were, thieves by keeping my money. Now I have to dispute with my bank to get my money back from these crooks.

As another reviewer said, they claim your book is "counterfeit" and offer you zero dollars for it, and the only way to get it back and sell it to a real book buyer is to pay them shipping (more like ransom) to get it back. Trust me, the book was not counterfeit. I had several copies that all came from the exact same place, sold them to different sites, this is the only site that claimed it wasn't a legit book. So, I just don't know what they're trying to pull.
I was quoted $60.00 for a cell bio textbook that I had purchased from my schools bookstore. They claimed it was a "counterfeit" book and quoted me $0.00. In order to get my textbook back "hassle free" I had to pay $10.00 shipping, essentially buying my own used book back that was supposedly worth nothing. Complete waste of my time & money! Would not recommend this site at all.
