I just got swindled by Book In Hotels. Thought I got a bargain at NH hotels in Nice. Ordered, paid for and received a prepaid voucher. When arriving at the hotel I was told that the order was canceled by Kuoni Travel the room broker used by Book In Hotels. The reason Book In Hotel didn't send my payment. According to both NH hotels and Kuoni, the problem is mine. I had to put up my credit card again, this time for twice the original amount. The crooks are, of course, Book In Hotels, but both NH hotels and Kuoni share responsibility! I will be filing fraud claims with Visa and hope to get the first payment back. My vacation was ruined. By the way I blame Google too. My search for the hotel hit very very high, meaning Google most likely got paid for promoting Book In Hotels site

Do not touch this website with a bargepole. They are disgusting. They take your money then cancell your hotel two days before your due to go, and no refund, i paid in march to go for a two night stay in glasgow in august it was my freinds 40th, they cancelled my booking two days before we were to go, and im still waiting for them to refund my money. I have emailed them at least six times, i have phoned and you get someone on the line who does not speak english, and i have faxed them all to no avail. Please please do not use them.

Please oh please do not use, this is a scam website. I have paid in full for 8 nights accommodation in Rome 10th-18th Feb 2010, costing me just under £500 and received 2 emails on the 30/09/09 cancelling my booking and informing me it was due to finacial issues between the supplier and them? They said the refund could take anything up to 2 months and put a link to contact them. I have sent 4 emails and have got nothing back! Reading the previous reviews it looks like i am unlikey to.
Havehad to pay a deposit on another hotel through Travel Republic who i know are a reputable company.

Used this website quite a lot during recent overseas holiday in August.

Majority of the time things worked well, but on one occassion had a hotel booking cancelled without my knowledge or request. Original booking charged to my Credit card by Bookin Hotels Istanbul as detailed on my statement.

Had to pay for another night when I arrived at Hotel.

Hotel gave me a copy of the email from Bookin Hotels (email address: *******@transhotelmail.com) with cancellation request.

Clearly not requested by me.

Sent request for refund to this website but had no reply.

Not sure if all bookings handled out of Istanbul but would appear that something not right despite having some bookings with no problem.

Looking at other reviews of the bookinhotels.com website would appear that some caution required when making bookings with this group.

This site cancelled my booking two days before I was due to go to London. I cannot contact them by phone as nobody will answer. Your money gets taken out your bank very quick in ISTANBUL and you find it impossible to get a refund.The UK phone number which goes to an answerphone out of hours is in a foreign language. Yoiu cannot get your emails through. I had to cancel my debit card and inform the bank fraud team. I have also contacted bbc. Watchdog as other people who have been scammed by this site have also done this DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SITE AS THIS SITE IS BAD NEWS

On 23 June 2008 I booked a night's accommodation at a hotel in York to attend my friend's wedding on 15 August at a cost of £116.29. On 12 August I received a notice of cancellation from bookinhotels.com and to date I have not received a refund. I tried to contact them prior to receiving the cancellation to amend my reservation to add my son which I eventually had to do direct with the hotel as when I phoned the site said to email and when I emailed they ignored me. I rebooked direct with the hotel and ultimately I have paid twice. DO NOT TOUCH THIS SITE WITH A BARGEPOLE - THEY ARE CON ARTISTS!
