Of your outboard motor the system displays the different groups of main assemblies with a pictorial diaphragm along with a corresponding parts list with specific part no's. Of each part for ordering purposes. Communication once an order is placed is also very good and parts are shipped quickly with tracking information provided to you automatically once the shipment takes place. I own a mobile marine service business. Providing maintenance solutions for customers is a big part of what I do. 90% of the time boats.net meets expectations. However, on more than one occasion I've paid for 2 day shipping and it's taken 4 days to receive the parts. This delay will typically cost me double- reason being, the customer needed the part for a quick repair and if I don't deliver at a certain time I lose the customer and now have a part I have to sit on. Outside of this minor inconvenience, boats.net meets expectations.
Ordered an ignition switch for a Mercury engine, does not fit. Called company back to return part, they said it would take a couple of hours to receive email return authorization. Have not heard back yet, 24 hours later. Now I have to call again and waste MY time.
In addition the parts that I used apparently took 2 weeks. But they said it would be next day. If I knew it was going to take two weeks I would have found it elsewhere. Instead paid 30 bucks for shipping for a waste
Spent the extra on the 3 day shipping, parts did arrive on time. Purchased water pump kit, fuel filter housing kit and fuel line connector. Parts were great quality. Prices a bit high but I wanted to get another 20yrs out of her, so we'll see. Will buy from again. Diagrams made it much easier to lookup parts and order the correct parts the first time without guessing.
Parts diagrams are detailed and numbered well, however quantities are deceiving when you place the order. A help screen pop-up would aid and perfect thiis. If a device item requires 2 washers and 4 bolts, when ordering, please have that quantity per line item. Shipping was fairly quick, and was pleased with customer service..

I have a 2008 Legend Bass Boat with Mercury 225 Optimax and finding the right parts can be difficult. The customer service rep walked me through multiple parts diagrams and cross referenced the Mercury website to make sure I had the exact right parts and also made helpful maintenance recommendations for me as well. I would highly recommend Boats.net and will be asking for Dale next time I am ordering anything for my boat. It was sincerely the best customer service experience I have had in years.
