I signed up for this subscription and was excited that they were supposed to pick things for my baby's age. Well I got the email with the first"preview" of what was supposed to be in the box and was not impressed. So I skipped that month. So I got the next month's "preview" and was actually excited to try those items. When I got the box though, there were only two of the items that were listed in the email. I wouldn't have even gotten this month's box if I would've known that I was going to get these items instead. They are junk and not even worth the money paid on the subscription. So I emailed customer service. A week later and no response. There's not even an option to cancel you subscription of course on the website, you have to contact them and then they don't respond. I will never subscribe to another one of these services again! I have enough stress in my life with a baby!
AWFUL. Consistently received items that were very much for a boy, when I have a girl. And consistently received items that were for a baby aged 0-3 months when my baby is 12 months. My baby's age and gender is appropriately selected on the subscription so I don't know why this was ever an issue. The items sent every single time were low quality and pretty useless. We received a book once that was so bad and awfully written with a terrible storyline, that I have it stuffed away in our attic. I can't bring myself to donate it because it's such an awful book. How can a kids book be that bad?! It baffles me. I donated all but one somewhat cute stuffed animal. Don't waste your time or money. My mother surprised me with this subscription for my daughter and I feel awful that she wasted her money on this.
I ordered the monthly subscription back on May 12th for my grandson. I received an email around May 20th to review the box. I did and I thought it would be shipped out within a week or so. I just received an email today, June 14th that the first box shipped. WTF? Over a month for a box to ship. Also, not very happy about the quality of the items in the first box. Four items for $34? One item is a cheap sleep cover for the mommy, second item a board book, third item grooming set, and fourth item six wooden blocks. What is a 6 week old baby going to do with blocks? I cancelled my monthly subscription. Hopefully, I won't be charged for a second month. I will just go out and buy age appropriate items for my grandson and send them to him instead.
This has been the worst subscription we've ever had. The items are constantly for a child MUCH younger than my son. They have also sent items for girls when I have a boy. The items are so far below the age my son is we end up donating everything in the box.
When I contacted customer support about canceling our subscription they said we could but we were still responsible for paying the remainder of our bill.
You are better off going to target or some other store and bringing $30 with you and purchasing items that are actually useful and you will get 6x as much as what you get from this joke.
Hello Sasha, We've sent you a private message to find a resolution for you ASAP. We suspect we need to adjust the developmental age in our system for your son to ensure he is receiving appropriate items. We look forward to helping you. Sincerely, Jamie at Bluum
I signed up for a 6 month subscription because I had a 1 month old infant and didn't know how to entertain her. Well now she's almost 3 months and I still haven't received a box, but they did double charge me. I don't need their help selecting toys anymore now that she can grasp toys. I emailed them and they didn't apologize, and just now sent me a tracking number (set to arrive in 2 weeks). I doubt they would have bothered if I hadn't emailed them.
Links don't work -- or, worse, sign you up for deliveries or emails to you when they should go to who you are giving to as a gift - or vice versa. Also, when customer service tried to help with a new order, I was charged for a random person/order I da never heard of named Haope. Then, an hour later, my checkout basket had the name of my call center service rep, Janet, set up for an order for me to confirm
I ordered, but decided immediately to cancel. I even talked to them online and they refused to stop my order. I got ten dollars worth of stuff. It was disgusting!
Hi Christina, we've responded privately to find you a resolution ASAP. Thank you!
Avoid this business poor customer service and it is automatic renewal without any warning and when tried to cancel 10 days after auto renewal was told had to receive one month@ $34. And to cancel rest would be a $25. Cancellation fee. Bluum Box is a rip off!
I paid over $30 for my first box to be shipped as an Easter gift. AFTER paying, the choices to fill the box were given to me and they were just terrible. The clothing sizes were too small and the 1 food item was for 3 years old and up (I was buying for an 18 month old). I was truly shocked. When I realized I couldn't even choose 4 things to fill the box, I TRIED to contact customer service. Obviously, that failed. Phone call went immediately to voice mail, their "Live Support" on the website was offline during regular business hours stated on the website (Monday to Friday 10am-4pm EST) and I received only the standard reply email message that they have received my complaint. Wow- I wish I had read even one review before I purchased. I am very concerned that I will not be able to cancel the monthly subscription.
Not being able to attend a birthday for a 1 year old, I still wanted to send something other than cash/gift card in the mail. So, I chose a subscription box, because I've had such success with other companies.
I started my order July 3rd, which was a Sunday. To begin, I didn't like that I had to give my payment info up front... before confirming my order. I wanted to choose what went in the box and after taking the survey, they led me to the page where I would choose what went inside. I didn't like any options. So, I left the iPad for a while and came back to see they defaulted my order to 'surprise' order and processed it.
I couldn't contact them because of their limited hours, and it was a long weekend. I called and left a voicemail. Someone did return my call, 8+ hours later, and Left a voicemail for me. So, I tried emailing. The rep I spoke to said that since I didn't call in time, it was already processed and couldn't be refunded. Crappy.
I got the notification email that the box shipped, with the included item description. I hated what they chose. The gift was for a little girl. It had a blue/green bucket hat, wipes, a teether and a dining mat. I'm mortified with the gift I was obligated into sending.
To boot, I talked to the family who received it, and they thought it was a promotional package from somewhere because it didn't include my birthday message.
So disappointing, and a ripoff in my opinion. I will never order from Blum box, and plan to stick with kiwi crate or their new cricket crate once it debuts.
I tried the service based on a recommendation from a coworker. My son never liked any of the items he received from age 10 months, 11 months, and 12 months, except for 1 book, not worth the value of the box. Everything got donated or gifted. I emailed on May 25th to cancel, and included the service token as instructed. I received no response for 1.5 months, then received an email that my new box had shipped. Afterwards, I reached out on email got no response, reached out on Twitter no response, and after reaching out on Facebook my comment was deleted. Very shady business practices, it should not be this difficult to cancel. Very disappointing I gave this company my credit card information, so they can continue to charge me and not respond.
