Still getting used to how difficult wordpress is to use
Very easy to navigate through the site, and the layout is simple but articulate, which is fantastic for a new user like myself.
I am dealing with offshore support on some basic things with zero resolution.
Before signing up I specifically asked whether support was going to be USA based or in some random country. And as expected I am in support hell right now for something I consider very basic.
Confused about the integration between Bluehost and Wordpress. Can't access Wordpress admin directly, must go through Bluehost login process instead. I'm confused, and it's making it harder to learn how to create my website.
I think I'm going to love this, but it is confusing at first.
The core Bluehost services seem to function well most of the time - however as soon as there is a problem you have to deal with the most incompetent customer service. This mainly refers to the online chat support rather than on the phone, where the representative is only speaking with you, rather than muliple customers at the same time. Over the course of 5-6 conversations over the course of a week (two separate website issues) i experienced all of the below multiple times:
- huge lay / delay in responses as the representative speaks to other customers at the same time
- incorrect answers being given, disengagement from conversation when these answers are challenged
- inability to answer questions - if the representative doesn't know the answer, or believes that answering will show that they were incorrect previously - they just ignore the question, again and again, trying to move onto to another point
- hanging up from the call / chat session when challenged on the incorrect answers / support being given without any notice
Overall a terrible experience, we are moving our business elsewhere as it is not possible to receive accurate answers
Very confusing learning how to customize a website, have to watch youtube tutorials
My website is unreachable and it took 3 days to get my bluehost account back.
It's a bit overwhelming, but the resources are very helpful
Very intuitive. New user but having no problems navigating the site.
New to bluehost. Purchased a domain but I need help setting it up, I cannot find clear instructions.
I needed help today and *******@bluehost.com (Thomas) was able to provide excellent service and he has so much patience in helping me with my login, etc.
I thought my domain name was protected when I switched from GoDaddy.com but come to find out that the word "hosting" does not connote "register".
A lot of misguiding and stealing customer money, in sign up basic plan, there is free SSL for one year but company charged SSL fee too in add-ons
I'm trying to get back to the page that provides lots of themes--I could select free or customized themes. I decided to skip the fist time I saw it, and now I can't get back there.
Your automatic renewal process and inability to cancel sucks. Sending a reminder 14 days out when you require 16 days' notice is slimy.
Still trying to figure this out and get the site running.
The tutorials and articles have been very helpful and clearly written. I love the screen shots; they help me better understand the information.
Outdated software tons of upfront updates to get it ready
Im still a little confused as a beginner but I'll get it.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
