I thought I would post this as i am on hold now for the 3rd time working w/bluehost to get a refund from canceling their services. I purchased a domain and WordPress website less than a month ago and spent nearly a week trying to build a simple blog website for personal reasons and friend interaction. It was a nightmare. What i found most interesting was that there were no tools to help you figure out the systems but there were MANY tools that send you to something that wants you to buy more. They have a 30 day cancelation policy and i did cancel well under the 30 days. However they did not refund the full amount even though I was told the last two times I called that everything would be refunded. Today I am being told that the rest of the money will be coming in the next few days... we shall see...I am doubtful.

It may seem incredible, but after purchasing a plan called WordPress hosting, I haven't been able to install WordPress for a week! The worst, most frustrating and inefficient customer service I have experienced in a long time. No phone support, 30 minute or more wait for chat support and then they make you jump through hoops to answer the simplest of questions. Took me 3 hours total to get an answer to simple question about my service. If my site was down I can't even imagine the time it would have taken to fix it. I'm switching tomorrow.
Do yourself a favor and find another hosting company.

Designed my website but none of the information is saved and the site is still showing only information from the template. I tried to utilize the chat function, after over an hour of waiting and some back and forth once I finally was assigned a service rep, the service rep just stopped responding and a few minutes later the chat was terminated automatically. It shouldn't be this difficult to set up a website
It is very unfortunate that I have to post a one star review, but my experience with Bluehost was very disappointing. After 3 weeks of contacting you to fix the problems with my site, the problems still persist and clearly no significant effort has been made to resolve it.
Your staff was extremely slow to respond to issues, and my site was frequently down and unresponsive for hours. These problems have caused a lot of wasted time, energy and money. I was involved in an important advertising campaign and unfortunately all my clients also suffered because of my site's problems.
As an unsatisfied customer, I will no longer purchase any services from Bluehost and I advise others not to go down this path.

My experience with bluehost is very disappointing and to say the least maddening. An account was set up with them more than a year ago and it was canceled. Unfortunately, I was charged in mid-August with a renewal fee of $19 and $131. I only found these charges in reviewing my credit card charges from the previous month. I contacted bluehost for a refund knowing that I did not use this account. They responded with an email that I was not entitled to the refund because their refund policy is 14 days past the date of billing. How am I to know that they were going to bill me if I canceled the account? Not only that, even past the 14-day deadline, the account was not used and they had evidence of that. They responded by email that they would not refund my money because of the deadline date. There was no additional support offered in their email only the denial. Irregardless of the refund policy, this is totally unjust! The account was not used and they have evidence of that. The customer support assistant even acknowledge that in our phone call. Sometimes it's just about the principle of the matter. I will be pursuing this matter legally. Very disappointing Bluehost and shame on you!

Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
