Really good support team, and easy to use website. Thank you!
The payment system is convoluted. The process involves more screens and is confusing compared to almost every other service I pay for online. It was far superior before the UI change.
Why is the "Message Us" box impossible to dismiss?
Technology gets ever more complicated, if one is to be competitive. That means getting into the belly of Bluehost, which is TERIFYING. Things like linking DNS and emails to CMS systems. Although it make take a few iterations, your patient Chat staff, gets it done.
Customer service officer manage to resolve my issue but after multiple sessions.
I asked tech support to help because my new site was slow (I've been doing this 15 years). They said it was my fault. That there was a bug. I had 3 pages, minimal content, and no images. The server response time was slow - they blamed me. Frankly, I've been too busy to move, but likely will.
Been trying to use sitebuilder all afternoon. I get to the last screen, click finish and nothing happens!
Difficult to navigate around the website. 50% customer service
My site went down twice. First time I called, I was told that it was because I had not paid for a SSL renewal or something like that. That was incorrect. When I provided the proof, I was then told that it was because it was not on "auto-renewal", so it had to be reconnected manually and that I would have needed to either do it myself or let Bluehost know. Huh? I was told that it would be fixed within 48 hours. This was NOT ACCEPTABLE because I had literally just launched a promotion for people to sign up via the website, that was now giving people a SUSPICIOUS WEBSITE BEWARE message when they went to the link. The gentleman understood and was very helpful to try to get it fixed after I paid for an upgraded auto-renewal package.
All worked well for about one day, and it happened again the next day. It took four calls, maybe five, with different agents, all giving me different information about what the issue was and how long it would take to fix. All the while, my site was down! I can't tell you how stressful this was, given that I had literally just sent out a big email and FB campaign with the link to it. Can you imagine? Anyway, I kept checking on the site and then suddenly it just appeared, with no issues and no explanation of what occurred. I'll be moving from Bluehost and will not be recommending it to anyone.
Domain transfer out taking too long,,, now over 9 days and still not done
They changed the payment method and then There was no explanation of what I was purchasing, i am still confused on what I paid for
Been using your services for nearly 20 years, never had issues with down time and tech support has always been on the ball.
I have contacted support several times and the issue remains with my site. I am contacting them again today and hopefully they will have a resolution.
My site is hacked somehow and support is not able to help. I used to have backups but with the interface from Bluehost, there are no backups and I have to build a new site
We had been with Bluehost for around 5 years. Due to Viruses getting into our site and Bluehost not having backed up our files we no longer have a website. Tje site cost us thousands of pounds to build and maintain over a 20 year period, we had never had problems in the past. Now we find ourselves with no website at all and if we want one will have to start from scratch. Blue host did credit back the money for the hosting for the rest of the year, but took no responsibility for what has happened.
I have been trying to get tech support to figure out how to upgrade Weebly for weeks and they do not communicate. If it can't be done because Square now owns Weebly then just tell me!
Trying hard to work with this system, but have had endless problems just trying to set up email accounts. Not happy as this is now affecting my business.
I've been with BlueHost for over 10 years but something has gone terribly wrong over there! I renewed a domain in November and another one in December. Both payments cleared; everything was fine. Three days after the renewal of the second domain, and without any explanation, BlueHost refunded my payments (which goes against their own policy) and DELETED BOTH OF MY DOMAINS. My bank confirmed that there was NOTHING WRONG with the payments. Now, nearly TWO weeks later, BlueHost remains unresponsive to the issue.
I've spent hours on the phone with the front-line reps at BlueHost who cannot explain the issue. What they do say is either incorrect or contradictory. Despite their having "escalated the issue at top priority" (case OEML-*******) to some other department--with which they won't/can't connect me--, I remain without email. When I log into my BlueHost account, my domains are gone and no one can/will explain what happened.
BlueHost has significantly HURT MY BUSINESS. My clients cannot reach me because the domains associated with my email address have been deleted by BlueHost. I'd transfer my service, but my domains aren't showing in my account!
I don't recall having any issues. Was this me? There was a strange glitch as I was updating my website, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. Has someone else been able to hack my website? Please let me know.
Bluehost is amazing and I never have to remember about making payments because Bluehost offers great perks for users to make paying for domains
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
