Horrible (non-existent) customer service. Multiple attempts to rectify a problem over multiple months left me cold. What's worse is that each time I would try to contact customer service I would begin receiving a series of phishing emails that appear to be from Bluehost and are not.
I moved my websites back to GoDaddy. Bluehost failed on every single one of the promises it made when I moved my sites here.

Please don't try to sell me some whois obfuscation as the first thing I see after I log in.
I love Bluehost email especially. Going to learn this domain this year and hopefully have a website for my books. Thank you!
Random downtime and bad email interface have me looking at other options.
Hosting is okay, aside from recent outages. Email service is pretty disappointing, with extremely limited storage, an outdated and clunky interface, and very poor spam detection. My web contact form is heavily used by spam bots, which was never an issue with previous hosts.
Very difficult to find what's needed. The main website's layout changes and it
S tricky to log in into my own website in order to update it. Help is very sporadic. I end up chatting with a robot that repeats the same useless question.
Terrible customer service. Uncaring and unreasonable with problems. Incompetet when viruses infected in my website. Messed up my account worse than the viruses did.
Over the last 18 months or so of using Bluehost, I have had at least three occasions to use their chat or phone support. Every time was a vast disappointment. The last time was the last straw. My site got wiped out through no fault of my own. I explained to both the frontline support person and their supervisor that it was critical that my site get restored from a recent backup. A routine procedure that should take no more than a couple of hours at most. Long story short, it took them four days to resolve. For four days, my site was completely dark because of their lackadaisical attitude toward a customer in a catastrophic situation.
The website builder doesn't work. I can not even change something simple like font color event though there are easy click options to do so. The size of images auto changes alongside text so I can never get the right fit. The contact page doesn't connect up to creative mail even though I've reached out for help from both sides. I have many more issues. I'm trying to build a basic website. I don't need videos a store or anything and it has been time consumer, a waste of money, and an overall loss. I will not renew with Blue Host.
D*mn forced PIN # bullsh*t is the last straw in this camel's back. Your f*cking PIN 'creation rules' should say '6 numbers ONLY', you morons. Good decision on my part to switch to Hostinger obviously as the crude BH HTML editor & buried account specifics inside the dual BH interface is just clumsy on a good day. Good riddance.
It was very easy to get my website up and running!
Support usually connects quickly, although sometimes in a hurry to end call
It is so difficult to find where to edit my website
Over time I lose features and have to take more steps now to do the same things. And, just today I deleted files from one folder and somehow it moved every other folder I have under the SSL folder. A tech support rep found that for me as I would never have thought to look there.
I wasn't aware of the deadlines to provide my first updates, especially during so many holidays, I expected to actually talk to someone who understood nonprofit and was writing up the site
I wanted to learn a little web development so I agreed to build a site for my HOA and I selected Bluehost to host the site. I didn't know that when you make Wordpress updates, you would frequently overwrite my index.php file which effectively takes down my site without notice. I chatted with a couple of technicians the first of which told me that they would take my site off the Wordpress update cycle. However, when my index.php file was overwritten by a subsequent update, the next technician told me that if he removed my site from Wordpress updates I would no longer have access to cPanel. That doesn't make sense to me but I take his word for it. When I asked for my options, he became rude and ended the session.
Difficult to navigate site. Difficult to get to website editor. Difficult to check webmail
I have many issues with your host first i changed the url that have symbols and numbers before launching the site and the moment i changed it and refresh it gives me that there is an issue plus i cant see the web i create on my page on wordpress second the support is very very week all they care about is the reveiw for them without fixing my problem - i call them twice but without any result so plz fix the issue or with sorry i will change my hosting to my websites to another web host...rafat baqaeen
Hard to navigate - not sure Bluehost is a secure platform due to continued spoof emails proporting to be from this site and now my website has disappeared...
Good so far. Things are strongly geared toward WordPress, and I use Joomla.
So far I love the bluehost dashboard with all that information at my finger tips. I used to spend so much time with another hosting service just looking for things I needed. I appreciate how organized and appreciative this service seems to be for web designers/developers/authors.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
