The new system has endless tech issues that not even tech support can resolve or know the cause of the issue. I'm counting the days until I can change hosts since a refund (asked for due to these ongoing issues) was not offered and I had just renewed for 3 years. For the record, I loved Bluehost prior to the update that took place at the end of October 2023.
Chat reps prefer to read basic scripts, ask already answered questions, and argue when they do not have necessary knowledge. EVERY interaction is 5 times longer than necessary.

I HATE BLUEHOST SO MUCH! They keep changing stuff and it breaks my site something like twice a year. Plus, I want to log in, and you cannot even see the bluehost cpanel using Safari, so I have to switch to Chrome. Finally, the mod_security keeps changing, so my site has 409 errors whenever bluehost changes it. COMPLETELY dissatisfied.
Terrible customer service. It shouldn't take SEVERAL DAYS to restore a website and to have them restore a shell of the website was ridiculous. Website is still broken and now I have to create A NEW WEBSITE CAUSE THE BACKUP IS BROKEN

I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years but recently they've been really going downhill and left me stranded. They recently ended their partnership with Weebly for website development, but in the process deleted several of my websites so all my previous work is gone, and I don't have a business website anymore. I contacted customer support and informed them of the affected sites. They responded that they couldn't find the requisite files, and blamed Weebly and myself. When I reminded them that I did everything through their site, the rep became unresponsive and ended the chat. I guess they say they want your feedback unless they know it's going to be bad, because I wasn't able to leave feedback as usual because the rep bypassed the review procedure.
Even the reviews on this site are skewed to the positive. I got an email requesting that I leave a feedback if it were going to be positive. But when I indicated that I would leave a negative feedback, I was directed to their website for a chat, instead of this site where I could leave the appropriate review.
I've been with Bluehost for almost 15 years. It has been a great experience, great customer service and best of all good uptime.

We switched to Bluehost because they had a service to build websites and have a chat service to help with issues. The service has been incredibly frustrating to deal with and often problems go unresolved.

Back end is very slow, much slower then I expected. Constantly upsold on domain protection services, asking me once ever month or so is one thing, asking me every time I login is another.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
