Blizzard Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a pervasive dissatisfaction with its customer service, characterized by lengthy response times, lack of direct support channels, and perceived unfair account management practices. Customers frequently express frustration over inadequate assistance with account issues and refund requests, leading to a sense of mistrust. While some loyalty exists among long-term players, many reviews highlight a decline in service quality and responsiveness. Terrible Customer service
February 11, 2021

I wish i could give less than 1 star.
My account got hacked 1 week ago. There customer service is HORRIBLE.
There is no phone number, and everytime i try and explain my problem they just tell me the ticket has been resolved and reset my email and password.
I have contacted them for a week straight with the most respect i can possibly manage. The whole system makes no sense. When you open a ticket once it is marked as resolved. If you re-open it. It send you to a different person, who has no idea whats going on, so you have to re type it, and the second they respond they immediately report it finished instead of waiting for it to be ACTUALLY RESOLVED.

Been with this company for 12 years, loved wow more than my own life. But they've gone down the drain. Their higher ups dont care about lore or integrity of product and their customer support makes you want to punch children. Maybe they'll realize their rankings are in the toilet and like reform a bit? But until then, if you're looking to see if it's worth spending money on them. It's NOT. Don't bother. They'll just spend that money banning people who badmouth their product instead of getting rid of actual toxicity.

They will let people tell others to go kill themselves but if you badmouth blizzard, YOU'RE the one who will get banned. And by the way, that toxicity is very common in their games but they still haven't done anything about it.

They don't care about the people who play their games. They only care about the money they get from that. So until they turn around a bit and start caring about their customers. I'm out.

And I don't do that lightly. It is with a heavy heart i write this and that heavy heart has cried many tears about leaving the only joy in my life [WoW]. But I can't continue to support them with my wallet or my playtime. They simply don't deserve it.

Goodbye my one true love of 12 years. The one thing to pull me out of my depression. It is with great sadness that I leave you behind bc your creators are just undeserving of support

Rubbish refund policies
January 18, 2021

Rubbish refund policies that do not correlate with consumer protection laws. It should be illegal to publish & adhere to policies that clearly defy your local laws, but they do. BUYER BEWARE -- be 100% certain of your purchase and use a credit card so you can dispute the charge in the event you need a refund.

I play shadowlands and other expensions for years. I've never asked blizzard for any help. Now I had a problem. My friends pursuaded me to go from horde to alliance and change server. I've changed server and was about to change to alliance when they told me they made a mistake and wanted to go back. Now due to my pending faction change I can't transfer back to a horde server because it's longer then 72 hours ago. I've contacted there support and the resolution was... Use the faction change and then buy another one to change back and tranfser then... I'm not asking for a refund just to cancel out my faction change or leave it pending while transferring to a other server. I can't believe they want to force me to use something I don't want to use, then make me pay for the same thing I don't want to use... I've metnioned that a free faction change back would be a solution, even if that means I have to wait 72 hours before i can be horde again but of course that is impossible. I feel like being scammed. I just want to pay for a server transfer. This whole thing is just ridiculous.

I bought a game as a Christmas present... relatively expensive and we couldn't install / activate the game due to compatibility problems with the PC. Written to customer service and explained the problem, admitted my mistake and didn't even ask for my money back, just asked for an alternative solution, so that we at least benefit from having spent our money.
Apart from a link to the expired 14-day withdrawal period, I have not received anything. Anyone who seems to maintain their customer relationship with the rules of law instead of the right solutions would not last long. I advise against using the platform.

So I decided to download WOW for the first time because I heard it was great for macOS. It was advertised as such. I paid for a subscription only to find out the game isn't updated to be compatible. I proceeded to request a refund only to get a passive-aggressive response about how they don't do that but will allow me an exception. I'm just frustrated that it was advertised as something that it wasn't and that it was then inconvenient for them to give me my money back. If I could rate lower, I would.

Blizzard shop sucks
December 6, 2020

Ordered from the blizzard shop (first time)because of the new metallic funko exclusives. They pop designs look great but the shipping department is terrible. They literally put ZERO tissue or popcorn or bubble wrap, didn't put them in sorters. They sent three funko pops in a 17" x 12" x 7" sized box! The worst shipping jobs I've ever received before. I would rate them a zero.

They also send you crap deals like ten time a day. Super annoying.

Tried to register with Blizzard but the system says my phone number is invalid and so is the phone number of my wife. Turns out that our numbers are market in the Blizzard system as "prepaid" numbers. Clearly they are not. The Customer Service solutions is telling me I need to get a proper contract phone number. No other option is available.

My kid bought a video game that we don't even have the right computer to play, I found out about it a week or two later expecting them to understand that since the game had never been downloaded, that it was purchased by mistake. I was basically told, tough.

7 day silence
October 24, 2020

According to Blizzard itself, a silence is supposed to be 1 day the first time, and doubles afterwards. On reviewing my silence through the ticket system, it appears of the 50 reports for "abuse of text chat" that I have, 39 are invalid complaints on comments such as "GG" or "Nice game guys" or other awful comments like "/". Of the accurate reports, there was 1 report of me saying "Screw you Chromie" to another player who was being incredibly toxic to everyone on the team.

On appealing my ticket, since the silencing system is automated, i received a rather quick response from "Todd" at customer support informing me that my ban was applied correctly and would be kept for the duration of the ban, and that no further tickets would be reviewed.

I'm not sure how to explain how enraging it is to basically be shoved off on a company i actively spend money towards, but no more. I hope this company crashes. Gaming companies today are such garbage and treat (un)valued customers horrifically. 0/5 would not recommend.

I was involved in an argument of sorts with Blizzard over them disabling my account because of a chargeback for $20 from my PayPal account, and finally figured out what they wanted, so I went and logged into my account, and tried to pay the balance, but was met with an ignorant error message (attached) every time I tried to make the payment. This happened with 3 different payment sources, all of which had more than enough funds to cover the $20, but Blizzard's broken website refused to accept any payments at all.
So, I Googled the error message, and found an article from Blizzard.com that explained it, and provided steps to correct the error. I followed these steps, and OF COURSE< none of them fixed anything, as always with FAQs, but one of the steps was to remove all of my existing payment sources, then ad them back. I did this, but it also cancelled my 6 month subscription doing so, and I cannot set it back up because I am still disabled over the chargeback that I am apparently never allowed to pay off.
This company is complete trash, and I cannot believe they have the nerve to pretend to be technologically savvy in any way, when they cannot even make a functioning website.
Can someone, ANYONE, please sue these monsters so that they can stop thinking they are God almighty?

I bought black ops 4 game long after launch from blizzard. It did not work because there were no games to play. I tried to return game with less than 2 hours of play time (play time being waiting to find game mostly). Blizzard customer service replied to me that I can not return game. Where I come from (Finland) Faulty products have right to be returned. But I have little rights when I buy from Foreign company. Their customer service was like stone wall and only thing they cared was keeping my 60 euros with any reason. I even asked to change this faulty game to any other and let them keep my money, but they did not agree to that. I warn you if you are considering to buy game from blizzard. All that money are long gone no matter how bad game is and you get nothing back if they decide so.

Trash service
September 21, 2020

I purchased a game at 6:30 am spent 2 hours trying to port forward before finally getting it to work, asked to refund the game, and they told me i had to much playtime, i had played 2 games of zombies, and around 6 matches of multiplayer (barely enough to actually test the game.) This is the worst, refund policy i have ever seen. I would never recommend buying games on here if you don't already know if you'd like it. You won't get a refund if it's trash, also never got an actual person to speak to me, just a bunch of auto-typed scripts.

Worst customer service
September 8, 2020

"Your account is unable to post or reply until 1 Jan 3000 11:00". This is how they treat their customers.
They think they are funny by saying you are banned till the year 3000 from their forums. The old devs were great in classic and BC, as soon as the new guys took over, the game went downhill lost millions/billions of subscribers. They had to reuse the old devs content, then they mock their paying customers. Its like a spoilt kid inherited their dads hard earned company and ruined it with their inexperience

No customer support, someone has hacked my email and got me banned from a game I have never played. I can not sign it and link accounts for games I do play. I just need help and there is an error when I request from their page. Terrible service, I would give less than one star if able.

Blizzard used to be made up of nerds that like fantasy and video games. Now all that is left is some fat rich guy that likes to give himself a million dollar raise and pay his employees in virtual mounts. Like how the $#*! are the employees supposed to pay rent with a mount? They care more about censoring free speech if it's anti-china than they do making their game better. Wow classic is alright I guess

Blizzard makes groundbreaking games that changes the public view on what a game should be. Or atleast they did. Recent years blizzard has become a soulless corporation and you can see that in many aspects of all their games, where used to be passion and quality instead lie's profitability and making a quick buck. It's a shame to see what they do to their original content. World of Warcraft specifically used to be a home away from home after school or work, now its a mere shell of what once was. Using hype and fad's to push it forward Blizzard and World of Warcraft are not the same. Funny enough you can see the corporate mentality in almost all aspects, even when creating a support ticket to address an issue, Blizzard threatened to delete my account unless I accepted the issue as resolved.

They do not care.
August 2, 2020

I have been playing Blizzard games for over a decade now, and have recently been giving a week suspension which I don't even seem to be allowed to contest, let alone have any hope of getting repealed.

Blizzard simply don't give a flying rat's backside about their customers ever since they were taken over by the lizardpeople at Activision. Do not buy their products. Do not play their games. Boycott this company at every given opportunity.
