At first, I took a chance on buying off this website. The reviews were 50/50, but I found a knife I lost a while ago for almost $40 cheaper. Took a chance on it, and it showed up 2 days earlier than expected. Definitely going to be using Blade HQ again for any knives in the future
I ordered from BladeHQ, and it was great. Got here on time, and I got free stuff on the side (of course I spent money), but anyways it is a good web and they have good deals. Also my brother ordered from them and he got his knifes, but he did have a issue, but they got it fixed right away.
Bladehq is top of its class. Great people, great customer service, great selection, great pricing, fast shipping. This is a dealer that is owned and staffed by real enthusiasts. Couldn't recommend them enough.
Tried to scam me. Bought 4 knives... they sent two... said they refunded the difference... never did. Had to take it the whole way with bank dispute etc... avoid at all costs.
If you order from them, hope you don't have to return anything. It's been over a week since I was told they'd email a return label. Still waiting.
So I ordered a Sebenza 31, right handed, with Damascus blade. Had been waiting a year to find that item in stock. I get the item, open it up and it is a left handed version. WTF? Anyways, I try to call customer service but they say they aren't taking phone calls due to COVID. Not entirely sure how this has anything to do with COVID. I started a chat on the website. I must not have responded fast enough because the person closed the chat. So I had to start a new one. Blade HQ says they don't do exchanges, which makes no sense. I asked why. They said "their system isn't set up for exchanges." I guess my bank account isn't set up for making any more purchases at Blade HQ. When you spend $600 on a knife you expect them to send the right knife. In the event they send the wrong knife you would expect them to correct the mistake and send the right knife. Nope. That is apparently too difficult. Even on the online chat I felt like whoever I was talking to had waaaay better things to do than help remedy the problem at hand.
Haven't had any issues from this site. Orders shipped within 4 days and arrived within 10 days in the US. Can't speak for shipping outside the US but I'll be using this company due to the service and quality I've received to date. 5 stars
I have ordered several high-end knives through this company in the past, never had a problem. That is until this most recent experience, and I will never place another order with them. Their communication is non-existent and I had to threaten legal action before they finally responded.
I preordered a Spyderco Yojumbo, and pre-paid. NO communication regarding when the knife was to come in, ship, etc. nothing showed in my account even after contacting them several times. So I purchased elsewhere, then it just showed up at my house. I contacted them and it took over a week to get a store credit (no refund).
There are too many other GOOD companies out there to waste you time with one that obviously doesn't care about your business. Not sure what has changed in the management of BladeHQ but rest assured it isn't for the better. They are not the same company they were 3-5 years ago.
Spent about 400$ on multiple knives even spent exra on 2 day shipping... and its been about 10 days now and they still hevent even shipped my knives and when i e-mailed them asking about my order they dont respond...
I purchased a knife from them, that was one of their site specific items. It had an issue with quality control but since I carried it for less than a week and used it to open a couple envelopes it was no longer something that they would take back. Wouldn't even give me site credit told me I had to deal with the manufacturer.
Please don't be afraid to buy. The knife I ordered arrived on time in great condition. Sealed boxes. The reviews saying you can't trust this site are liars. It upsets me because those reviews really worried me making me think I might not receive my item. And have to go to my bank asking for my money back explaining I was scammed on a illegitimate site. But no sure enough my item arrived. Do not be afraid to do business with these guys they are legit
Bought a Buck 110 Auto and wasn't happy with the "Action" sent it back to BladeHQ and promptly received a full refund back to my credit card. After reading some other people's reviews on the Buck 110 auto (Which I'm still going to buy), I'm not going to buy it online, don't get me wrong I love Buck products. And own many. Anyway I ordered a couple of Kershaw knives and they came in perfect vary fast and in perfect condition! BladeHQ has been a stand up company for Me!
Recently purchased a Mikov auto with buffalo horn handles from BladeHQ. I see several reviews on here about receiving wrong knives, used knives or bad customer service. My experience was nothing but top shelf all the way. Order process was very smooth, shipping was quick and even though the site said you no longer get the sheath with this knife, they included one with my order. Brand new knife and the fit and finish and action are perfect. Will be buying from them again soon.
BladeHQ is the gold standard knife distributer. Im not saying other sites aren't good too, but HQ does it their way, all the way 100%, and others try to emulate. It pisses me of that the competition stoops to writing fake reviews in an attempt to cast aspersions on the consummate mecca of cutting tools that is BladeHQ. Ya'
Ll just hate because there is no chance of living up the very best in the biz.
Just want to update my review of Blade HQ, the customer service gave me credit and replaced the knife with a new knife. Very happy with the customer service at BladeHQ. Highly recommend.
Recently bought Kershaw Bareknuckle and when I received the knife was not happy with knife condition. Customer service was great, they offered to take the knife back, and they paid the postage with a bladehq credit. Happy so far. Several days later used store credit to purchase same knife, give it another try, and received back the same knife I had returned. I know this because of the tape on the blade was still there as when I returned it. Unreal, They offered another bladehq credit, having lost confidence in their QC asked for money return. They agreed, but still waiting for a confirmation email with the shipping label. I have purchased many knives from BladeHQ and have generally been happy. This kind of oversight is difficult to overlook however. Are they selling used/returned knives as new?
Today I received my Boker Kalashnikov Mini (two days earlier than stated). The knife is just as described and nicer in person! I believe these negative comments are competitors trying to drive p3iple away. I emailed customer service to enquire about tracking number. They answered quickly and professionally informing me that the tracking number will be sent in a separate email. Everything went smoothly, professionally and I love my new blade!
Received wrong knife in open box with cut seal and when shipped back "unused condition" for refund did not get it in full. No explanation, no email, no track in their web side. Call credit card to resolve.
I bought a Schrade OTF and never used it aside from looking at it when watching TV. 4to 5 days after I bought it it quit working. They said not their problem! Take it to the Mfg. They sell but don't stand behind their product. I'll never go back.
Blade hq is sweet ordered off them as a kid and came back and business looks booming. Ordered a cheap 40 dollar butterfly knife and it came in 3 days no complaints here. For everyone saying their awful and don't respond maybe if you guys stopped being a bunch of scum and actually messaged them with respect instead of freaking out when they don't reply in a day they'd help. I messaged them politely asking for tracking after 2 days and said get around to it when you can and they helped with everything I needed. 3 day shipping to connecticut with 4 day shipping isn't that shabby. Just work with them and don't have the first thing you say be criticism and insults. As consumers YOU SHOULD respect them and put them on a pedastal. Literally try finding better knife deals anywhere I dare you. Thanks guys I'll be back.
If I've ever had an issue (only 2 so far) its taken care of that day. The website is easy to use for someone new to knives. Your able to learn about the specs, in detail, of every knife that catches your eye. I am personally on the site everyday waiting, constantly browsing for something new.
Answer: Hi. All restrictions are built into our checkout process. If you are able to successfully check out, we will ship it. :) Unfortunately, if you can't checkout, then that means that we will not be able to ship it :(
Answer: Not easy, contacted customer service had no response in 2 business days.
Answer: Hello! Give us a call or an email with your order number and we can check on getting a return initiated for you! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
Answer: I wouldn't order from them at all. They lied to me about fulfilling an order.
