Cracks everywhere in the drywall after many repairs they came back, french doors leaked really bad had water running across the floor when it rained, shingles and siding blowing off every year. The windows have defects between the panes. The trim in the whole house is made of pressed cardboard after we were told it would be real wood, the shower leaked, floors squeek. Defective bathroom tubs and shower were used because we could see after a few years where they were repaired. I would not recommend Blacks Home Sales in Duncansville to anybody

They will lie right to your face and not bat a eye. They will keep changing the order so that in end they keep your buffer plus add on few cost just make sure they dont have to redund. What you sign don't mean crap they redo your order put someone else's intails on order. Redo prices and add on items all without you even knowing about it. When you confront them with emails of what they say you are getting.They say that's not how it works that's not what we said ( it's in black and white you asking what items are in the home you are to get and them replying what they are none of which you will never see) And credits for items you didn't get for get that idea your never see them there will always be another hidden cost show up to reclaim any thing you was due refunded. In end you end up paying them thousands more then your contract says. And that finial price changes like the wind. Have a bank on hand ready to give you a loan so you can get into home. And there staff well there young dint care sloppy work and never fix things right. Always its on back order

After we purchased our new home from Blacks, the nightmare started, first we ended up spending $10,000 out of pocket for hidden costs that we were unaware of. Then after we moved into our new home, within two months the furnace broke down. Twice in a matter of a couple of days Black's send someone out to 'fix' it, and then a third a month later. After that it worked briefly, when we called Black's again, no one bothered to come out even though it was under contract. We ended up paying out of pocket to have a repairman come out. Three months later it broken again, no help from Blacks. Then we had a problem with a leaky roof, contacted Black's, only to get the run-around, no one returned our calls. I am disgusted and very upset with Blacks. They are all helpful, and available when they are trying to sell you a home. After that your pretty much on your own. Would not recommend them to anyone. Go somewhere else.
