People you're not interested or attracted too, usually the ones that contacts you, UGHHH. Then the ones u are interested or attracted too are on there for the likes ( no communication) might as well go to IG or Facebook. At least there's a better chance of meeting someone there then on this BULL$#*! site
I signed-up for an account to look around and get a feel for the site before committing money for a subscription. I posted one picture- a head shot. Two days later, I decided to give it a try and was going to purchase a subscription. I uploaded a new photo - also a headshot in accordance with the site's policies and two days later it was still pending, so my profile had no picture. I sent an email to customer service and got back an automated reply saying that if the FAQs didn't help, I should respond to the email. I did that and never heard back, so I went onto the site to remove my profile only to find a message that I could not access my account and to try again later. Two days later, I still cannot access my account and they have the nerve to send me an email telling me I should upload a picture on my profile. I. Can't. Even. With this site and if I could have given it less than one star, I would. Stay away!
Fake dont join one month was enough they recycle the men, and a lot of the profiles are fake, they are generic they say the same thing. Lots of poor spelling same number of views, right around when it was time to renew suddenly 168 messages no way. I deleted my account photos and thankfully used a prepaid Visa so they cant come back and steal my actual account information. The men mostly no car no job live with there mom over the ages of in there late 50s.Run this isn't the way to.go black people meet owned by white couple do your research the commercial is nothing like what's on the actual site, they have professional looking attractive people on tv. Online its horrible men with missing teeth.Im attractive gorgeous teeth, on house car, nurse. I'm now dating in the real world good luck guys.
I have used this now for the 3rd time when I have been single and went on actual dates. My experience here has been much better than Match. I tried POF but that site is full of dead fish and scammers. At this moment I'm getting to know someone, let's see how it turns out. For the record it's not the sites fault... its the customers that are jumping from profile to profile, so take your time if someone is really interested. Good luck
Another dating scam app with a bunch of shallow women, who most of them I suspect are paid impersonators, all thirsty for internet validation.
What a big, fat waste of time and money.
I was on this site for about 7 months, on and off. I got on in February '18. Met a couple of guys for dates. I was selective in who I contacted, and they turned out to be legit. They were people well-employed in the DelMarVa area. I then met one that I dated exclusively for about 4 months, after which we mutually agreed to stop seeing each other. Then, I got back on for a final month in Sept '18. I met four guys in that period. Two were definitely looking for a hook-up on the first date. However, it is up to you as a woman (or man) to let people know that is not going to happen. Some want to continue to see you after you say no. Others will not call again. I did have a lovely time with the guy I dated for 4 months. Got a nice vacation trip out of it. You just have to be selective in who you contact and know that some women have evidently been talking on the phone to guys on this site for a while, and when they meet up, they have sex with them. You can't know someone well enough to have sex with them just because you talked on the phone a few times. Beware.
After u pay for membership they will block you from your account settings. They know that some people want to cancel right after joining so that's why they do that to prevent this from happening.
I paid for a subscription and still couldn't access the account. When I emailed the so called customer care they said my payment is not showing. Even though I sent them. A copy of the statement from my bank. Total scammers!
My now husband and I saw each other on black people meet back in 2008. The month was March. Previously I was in a situation with someone else where our future together was hopeless. I was a single mom wanting to meet someone and not sure exactly what I was looking for. All I know is that I wanted to meet a guy around 5 foot 5 or 6 with a dark complexion. I met about 3 guys and one had potential but we stopped talking abruptly. I came across one that never went away. We web canned back then and he sent clothes to my home to ensure I was who I said I was. We lived in different states so he came to see me. From our meeting we continued to see each other. Before we got engaged he said you will be my wife and I laughed. Today we have been married 9 years.
I dated a guy by Doctorlove from Boston Ma. Turns out he was abusive and had a record. He prefers to text then talk. This guy has issues. Beware! He loves to go back and forth to Brighton Ma to secretly have sex with his BM. When I did find out it was because she gave him an STD. Wow... im not blaming the site. Just the people on there.
Well first of all i joined thinking it was going to be for 1 month. Did not notice but then i started thinking its been more than a month. Thats when i found out i was Auto Renew for 3 mos. I was able to cancel the 3rd month but it took a bit of a fight. Of course shortly after i cancelled i have a ton of Flirts and messages. I never met anyone and only had 1 brief conversation through the App. No one else ever responded to my messages.
I've been on BlackPeopleMeet for a few weeks. There are REAL people here, I don't say all the profiles are real but out of all the sites I have found this and Blacksingles4u to be one of the better ones.
This site is nothing like it was back in 2014, where i can only assume it gradually got the reputation it has today and that's why people left it; allowing it to resort to today's fraudulent practices.
Half of profiles are empty. Of those filled out, they have one of the same three generic openings, which i took screenshots of and will list here. They begin with:
1. "I am am educated guy and so would like to be with someone who is the same. I also like to paint in my free time..."
2. "I usually know what i want and do my best to get it. I'm a hard worker..."
3. "Having a sense of humor is important. I laugh at myself all the time. I went someone who lives life to the fullest..."
In the last two days, I've spotted over 12 profiles the say the exact same thing. Efforts to get an explanation from the site administrators have gone unanswered this far.
Additional complaints include their selection choices, which are plain terrible and don't even make sense for the city I'm in, but an investigative site informed everyone that BPM doesn't allow you to remove you're profile, keeps all your info after you cancel, and even distributes your info across shared sites (People Media), so it may be they threat copied profiles are former members not even interacting with you anymore.
Lastly, beware your subscription and account renewal, which is automatic but they recently gave users the option to remove, tough they literally trek you the opposite. Beware these unauthorized charges on your account. All in all, a scam.
First of all I dont think the site is a scam, the guys on there are scammers. And it goes on in every dating sight. I met one guy from Long Island on there, turns out he is a thief. Corned me out of several thousands, but he has been caught, I met one before him, decent guy, great career, we met but he was a bit on the wild side by tradition, I ended it but with no hard feelings. Ladies, no matter where you date, just beware. Its all I can say. I would not go on any sites after this experience.
I believe the owners or administrative software people are fake unauthorized people that they Photoshop from other sites and steal money from your account
This site is a scam on the highest level. It amazes me how my inbox is flooded with reviews & messages after I don't renew. Prior to my last renewal I had somehow received over 150 messages. Of course it prompted me to renew just to find out they weren't valid messages. I was stuck once again now for 6 months. It was also amazing after the renewal I may have received 5 to 6 messages in this last 6 months. Once again I didn't renew & miraculously within 24 hours I again have over 20 + messages. Most of the messages were either pic likes or flirts from the same profile. BPM should really shut down this bogus app & get a real platform for the people.
**If I could give a zero star rating... I would
Once I checked the box in my profile to Not Auto Renew, everything in the details of my profile was deleted! Only my pictures remained.
The matches could not have been worse from the full preference profile that I created.
This site is a scam it takes your money and no results... I been on here before and I thought I would give this a nother try... They have reviews and try two make it look good by saying I found my true love that is fulse... to get u to join. I bet they get rid of this review when they see the real truth... Even the people that works for them are a bunch of foreigners that cant speak English.and they tried to tell me I said something wasn't true. Iam just saying DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON THIS SCAM SITE.
They continued to charge me not give me a refund, said I was reaponsible for unsubscribing to something I never didn't sign up for. I KNOW HOW TO READ. I asked to speak with someone else they talked over me and hung up.
As a woman new to a town for a career, connecting with eligible men through a dating site is a great way to start a social life. So I joined BlackPeopleMeet because some friends from my hometown were successful in making connections. I joined for free and received a LOT of "messages" that I could not view unless I paid. So after a week, I paid and was inunndated with scores of flirts from unattractive men. Not messages but generic flirts.
I decided to send messages directly to profiles that were marginally okay... looks wise. I received a handful of responses but they were canned and basically identical to one another. After two days of this, I turned off the automatic renewal. The multitude of flirts came to a halt. It has been three days since, and I have receiived no flirts, a dozen views and no messages.
This site is a disappointment. They take your money, do a bait and switch, then no service at all. They shoul at least provide the best service for the subscription time you pay for. They fail to do that as well.
Do not waste your money.
AVOID blackpeoplemeet.com AT ALL COSTS!
Answer: Yes you have to pay. You can send flirts etc. I agree with Alicia, it's legit if your looking for losers, bums, ex cons or emotionally unstable men. I would never in life go back up there. That site is disgusting. Please be very safe. Lol Tinder is the best site for dating.
Answer: You will have to get local police or private investigator involved. Most forensic teams can track the person down by their ip address and other forensic techniques that the public sector isn't aware of.
