I was charged $253.73 within 5 days for 6 clicks! They billed me for the entire month then when I canceled they charged me again for the 3 days used in the same month. Save your money and go elsewhere,
Yo the ads contacted me and stated that my daily budget would be $15 A-day. I ran the ad from October 22nd to November 1st and they charged me $113.88. Then they charged me from November 1st to November 8th when I can't sold $440.37. When I called about it the man said no it's $59 per click and I said well the girl did sign me up for the ad did not tell me about that. He said that she did not need to disclose that to me and that it was in the contract. All the emails I have no where does it say anything about $59 per click but in 17 days of my contract I had 7 clicks. In only 5 from November 1st to November 8th and that's where the $440.37 comes into play. I am disputing the charges for my bank but I'm not sure what will happen. Do not use Yelp ads they are a scam.
My salesman's name was Mark Johnson (if that is even real) and his email is *******@yelp.com
I told him that I wasn't sure if my business was right for this and he assured me that it was. I spent an hour on the phone with this guy explaining that I didn't think I needed it and he kept encouraging me that I should try the free credit promotion. I said fine. Kept checking to make sure that it didn't go below 0. All of a sudden I got charged $288. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM. No one will help, the customer service is mostly rude and the managers don't get back to you. No way to get my credit card off file. Very bad bad bad business.
Planet fitness is a business that has taken so many people for granted and it seems like nothing is being done about it. I had a bad experience with kayla the manager on fort caroline rd. When i found out that the company had went into my account and taken money without my consent. And when i talked to her her nose was up in the air as if i smelled poorly... mike brian and peter. I will like to speak with one of you to atemp to get my money back and if not then i think i should take this further... please contact me at *******@gmail.com because this is the second time this has happen so i am on this page as my first way of getting this solved
There is a reason BBB has an Alert on the Yelp page: Pattern of Complaint which states: Businesses state that when speaking to sales representatives, they are sold ad campaigns for one price, but when they receive the invoice the amount changes.
I was given $300 in Advertising credits. I used $138.24 in July and $137.56 in August ($275.80 total) and called to cancel my advertising campaign. I was told twice I could not cancel and had to let the month run its course, even though the page clearly states CANCEL ANYTIME. NO COMMITMENT (I am looking at it).
I called to speak with someone who finally assured me that I had not gone over my credit in total charges and that I would not be charged anything and be cancelled immediately. The next month I was billed $40.02 on my credit card and after 6 attempts to resolve with the merchant they insist I am liable, even though my statements show the above amounts not exceeding $300.
An absolutely horrible online company! Yelp will just remove completely legitimate reviews from a business page and if you call to ask why it was removed customer service reps will just blame it on their algorithm. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH YELP! Beware, you will regret it. All their customer service reps are extremely rude, and they do not support you. Yelp is money hungry. Yelp removed legitimate 5-star yelp reviews because the Yelp reviewers "were not recognized as community Yelpers". Seriously! Such BS.
They are a bunch of racists, trying to shift focus to others after they were found out to be racists/sexists. The feature to report a racist business only came after they themselves were found out to be racists.
Spent over $1000 for unqualified leads that did not even pertain to my business. I was very specific with Yelp when setting this up and they assured me I'd get qualified leads. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Spent over an hour trying to get at least some of the money refunded to no avail. The rep. Agreed that I was oversold but said his hands were tied. This was my 2nd try with Yelp. NEVER EVER AGAIN!
I was promised by Matthew Reckard, the Senior Elite Account Director of Yelp that I wouldn't be charged a single dime for signing up for Yelp Ads. I believed him and put in my personal card for my company's yelp page. The ads only ran for 2 weeks, and we hopped on a call to cancel it together. Lo and behold 10 days after we cancelled the Yelp Ads program my card was charged $44.96. Despite spending more than 1.5hrs talking with Matthew, the customer service department and the financial department I wasn't able to get this refund back. 0/10 to Yelp and to their agents' unethical practices.
Be careful even if they tell you that the add is free it's a lie with them they are thief's liers scams froud artists. One day I see that they charged my privet card 2990 with no notes. They never provided me with the service. I have 0 reviews in my listing and trying to reach them for a months but no answer. And today I called the financial department of yelp at list 7 times and all the time they are playing around with me. Their workers still your card nombers and using it. Mohammad is a scam he need to go to jail. I an making police reports on him after he can not be reached and nobody their will tell you from Wher their are located. They won't tell you their last names too. A totally scam
This company is pure evil. DO NOT Engage with them. They will gain access to your credit card and steal money from you every month. They are the single worst company in the world. Avoid at all costs.
If you have ANY positive reviews in your first few weeks they will almost automatically take it down. Then when you try to find out why you are met with BS answers of I do not control that system... Apparently no one does. They claim to be diligent in their creation of your page only I had misspelled links on my page... As a consumer if you see a simple word like Food misspelled I highly doubt you would use their services. Every one is nice on the phone but no one can help you... Yea if I could just sweep everything under a rug and just say oops to every customer id be happy too. Spent around $1000 to basically have no support, have my only reviews (which I earned) taken down with no explanation or compromise, and a page with misspellings that I could not fix myself and had no support to fix. These people just want you money and no accountability. Do not buy their business plans just keep the free set up... you will get more out of it. Thank you Yelp for being a POS I hope this saves many business owners from your crap.
These guys used my credit card without any permission. The used my credit card while on vacation, id had advised them i wont have internet connection. They dont want to refund me and i have no way of getting my money back. Over 500$ and no one will let me talk to a manager or have a manager call me back. This is just huge scam i wouldnt reccomend anyone to use this service
They told me they will give 900 dollars on free advertising they told I don't have to pay unless I get business out of the campaign. They got my credit card number i did not get any business of course I did not get the free advertising now I have been trying to call them and reason with them I explained everything and they suppose to tranfer me to someone that can help and they hang up on me everytime stay away away from this people please they need to go out of business
This company is a total SCAM! Some people trust them and look up business throughout their website, however reviews on their website are not legit. You can gets ads on Yelp and they will pop up your business first among others with much better reviews and so on whoever pays more gets first place.
Another thing is if you are a business owner they will delete your legit positive reviews if you don't advertise with them. However if you don't pay them and someone ever wrote smth bad that review will stay there forever even though the account was freshly created by he person who wrote that negative review.
I really home this SCAM MAFIA business will be closed eventually and better sooner because they represent false info to so many people who think they are doing good things.
SCAMMERS! SHAME ON YOU
I was also a victim of the $300 credit offer. I was contacted by an account manager who set up my business for me, with the caveat that I would only participate if I was guaranteed that I wouldn't be charged above the $300 credit. We schedule a follow up call, she didn't call, I called her and left a voicemail. No return call. I finally reach someone in customer service that tells me there will be a $188 fee because I didn't end the campaign soon enough. They also said there's not way to tell when the $300 will be used up. I was promised that I would not be charged and they deceivingly found a way to avoid keeping the promises they made so they could get my money. They are very unethical and terrible to work with.
BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE! Yelp will only show your bad reviews and hide all the positive until you pay them for ongoing services. We have 17 five star reviews and 1 one star review. Yelp will only show the 1 star. When we call to complain, they state that we have to pay them to release the other reviews.
They get you in with promises of maximum charges, get you all set for an advertising campaign, and pretty soon you have an invoice for only ~100% more than they quoted you! THEN you have the pleasure of dealing with cancellation over the next thirty days... oh, and you'll be charged for that time too. AVOID THIS SCAM.
Sales rep did a poor job explaining the details - as it turned out, I was being charged $36 per click when the budget was limited to $15 per day. I was also told that they would handle editing the ad to look a certain way - it wasn't until I called that I was told that they couldn't edit the ad - no communication. When I called customer service, it was almost as if they were expecting the call - they did nothing to try to keep my business - I guess they are used to getting calls cancelling the service.
As a Realtor my business relies heavily on Leads. I have received several leads interested in my services. Some have specific requests and I am specific in my responses! Main problem is having all the communication on Yelp. By not providing me any contact info of the 'lead' we are locked into Yelp. I have sent leads photos of my business card and my full contact into. They never reply or reciprocate. My next replies will be asking them for contact info so I can reply to them more directly. Using Yelp as a line of communication between customer and business owner is seriously lacking. And by phone, nearly useless. Expecting your leads to go back into your Yelp to reply, is very short-sighted on Yelp's part.
If this continues this way, I am dropping my bus. Page. They say if I do my assigned page will continue
Which is no problem, as I don't plan to drop my business anytime in the near future. I just wont be able to get more leads, or make other changes. Which at this point is not an issue anymore with regards to Yelp!
Answer: Good luck with that. You'll end up paying more for a lawyer than you'll ever save disputing the charges and they count on that. I got scammed hard by them. Just pay them off and chalk it up to a lesson learned. They always win. They lie to you. They lie to the debt collector and they're rich - so they can hold out longer than you can. Pay them off and walk away - poorer but wiser.
Answer: Block your credit card from this company and dispute any charges because you won't be able to contact anyone and request cancellation unless they call you. Even when they do call you and you cancel like I did, they will still keep charging you. They are a completely fraudulent company.
