Yelp Biz is the most pointless app to be on as a business. After trying to have a false review removed they refused, the same person tried to leave the same review on Google and we were able to get in removed in minutes.
The sales will try real hard to ask you to upgrade your ad by sending you coupons which can fool you, they won't bill you at the beginning, so they can rip you off when you receive your first bill! Don't recommend! Problem with their ad is you can get the same amount of jobs when you don't have the upgrades. It doesn't help.
Warning! Warning! Warning!
Don't use Yelp. They are scammers. They offer you $300 free advertising just to get your credit card and charge it without your authorization, they have nasty customer service also. Be aware of these losers and don't waste your money.
Yelp steals reviews of small businesses whom don't pay them to advertise and put them in a hidden part from customers and call them "not recommended reviews". If you call them to ask why, they don't have a customer service line for business owners and only rude salespeople answer and accuse business owners of having their reviews given by their friends. That is why their ratings is one star. I'm a business owner whom has lost about 34 five star reviews to this unfair act. They also tell business owners that they are not allowed to ask their customers for reviews while it's a custom for every large and small business to do so. We were not even asking our customers to review us and have lost so many excellent five star reviews. But since the start of this disaster we are informing our customers and asking them to post their reviews in our website if they care to rate us. I wonder howmany lawsuits they are handling for this abuse and injustice.
I was basically hustled by the customer rep. He said he was issuing to me a 150.00 credit but that to get my campaign going, I would have to enter my credit card. I was told that I would not be charged until the end of July so I could see how Yelp for Business Owners would benefit me. A few days later they hit my card for close to 100.00 but I had seen nothing in the way of calls. I was told that I wouldn't be charged for clicks or impressions... just actual calls. I complained and got no response from the sales rep. I went to my back office and cancelled and was then contacted by a rep who said that Yelp would get back to me within 5 days... Nothing. This is a scam! I should have checked the reviews on Yelp before committing... Lesson Learned.
Don't advertise on YELP. They are such liars. I did not order advertising I just wanted an enhanced profile, next thing I know I'm stuck in a 6 month program, getting charged $9.00 a click. I didn't need advertising, didn't order it, because I'm the first one on the list. When I called Customer Service and asked for the contract I signed, they couldn't provide one. There was no email confirmation... nothing that I said. I agree to this. Customer Service wouldn't even let me talk to a manger, then didn't care. SHAME ON YOU YELP.
Let me start by saying they reach out to me.
They offered 900.00 advertisement credit.
I agreed. They asked for my credit card information to validate my account. To find out they charged me 900.00 for advertising. This is what I agreed too.
I filed a complaint and never got my money back. This happen to me 2021! They toke my money! And I didn't even make one sale using YELP! P. O. S COMPANY
This is a complete Rip Off. The sales person will tell you it is a trial period and the account department will tell you that they dont have a trial period. They tell you that they will set something up and then they charge you for it and it is not set up yet. When you do receive a request it is over an 1 HR away and if you would like to narrow the travel time it takes up $8 extra a day for that feature. This app is not for small business at all everything that the sales team says is complete bull. And then they all hide behind the phone and computer saying that there is nothing they can do. Their hands are tied.
Yelp sales rep Racheal called me from the number *******2547 and asked my Credit card for demonstration. Later in few I got an email saying I was charged 500 USD. I explained to them I never wanted to do this and it was only for demo, they threaten to use some agency to make me pay the money. It is a scam donot go for it.
Scam Yelp bothered my multiple tines a day to set up my page. Offered a $300 credit charged me $210 after about a week never used any of the credit the ap showed 2 clicks and one person got directions ehen i called they said thats what i agreed to it was clearly on the page where i entered my credit card info. She kept inturupting me when i was trying to get a refund and then she hung up in me to boot i guess she wad satisfied that she explained it enough and i still don't know what i paid for, Scan scan scam Do t dont do it! By the looks of this page we should start a class action law suit.
Recently I disconnected my Yelp due to the fact it was costing large amounts of money and I was not receiving any benefits from it. After witnessing what looks to be a $415.00 charge to my credit card without any warnings - I was told I apparently approved a campaign in September that gave them the right to charge me. After explaining that I wasn't even in the country and that I set up no such charge, I proceeded to get into a fight with a rude customer support team member who essentially was telling me that he couldn't provide me with any proof as to who logged in and started the campaign but no refund would be possible irrespective of the fact that I did not approve this. As a small business owner I find the lack of customer service repulsive and I warn all small business owners to seriously review any type of Yelp service before listing your credit card. This was evident that at any stage they can set up a charge and resume charging large fees without any warnings.
The sales people for Yelp should be ashamed of who they are and what they represent. AWFUL! Lies, lies and more lies and no answers to my questions. I have finally removed my CC card so they would stop charging me. Over $700 in less than a few weeks and not one new client. No answers to my emails and no response to my questions. These shysters are ill informed and have no soul.
They do not care about the businesses only the lying reviewers. That makes no sence to us at all. This company is business but they allow slander and abuse to the business owners they do not have our backs so why advertise with them.
After starting a "free" listing on YELP I was COLD CALLED out of the blue by their "salesperson" and she explained to me that I could get much more exposure by completing their advanced page. She insisted on stepping me through different screens to increase my exposure and told me that I would only be charged for "advertising" if people clicked on my page. Total B. S. as I was charged $900 in 2.5 months of "advertising." Unfortunately by the time I realized I fell for their scam and stopped it immediately I had been charged already for "clicks" to the tune of $900. I called several times to have them reverse the charges and they said I entered a contract and would be held to the charges. WATCH OUT! I consider myself a smart consumer but I was totally caught off guard and now I'm paying for it. I will be contacting our state atty general's office and disputing this on my credit card.
I was tricked into trying out there ad services. I was told I was receiving a credit and that I would not be charged anything and then my bill came and I was charged over $700!
Scammers! Do not get tricked. If this happened to you please reach out to me.
Yelp Ripped me off! They told me I was getting $900 in free ads. I was told step by step what to do to get the free ads. I was told my card would not be charged. That they would notify me when the $900 ads were done. That did not Happen. They charged my card without consent. Do Not Fall for it. It's a SCAM!
I was told free 90 days free, then was billed for $400.00 and was told I have to pay it or go to collections after already paying $160.00 I'm confused about the free part... nothing was free. Scammers... stay away.
I like everyone else that reviewed yelp Business, has been robbed. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR PROMOTIONS! You will end up being charged money, no question. After waisting a ton of time uploading info onto my yelp site I did not get a single lead. Yet I was still charged a ridiculous amount per click. I was charged almost $20 per click. Considering I had to do mist if the work and set up my listing, they are making a significant amount of money. Please hang up on the people that call you to set up and tell them to not bother you again. Save yourselves the hassle. Dont use yelp business.
Hired them to remove a fallen tree on April 17th, 3 weeks to show up to remove the tree and then 3 more weeks to grind the stump--they damaged the neighbors fence and won't pay for it-Terrible company and poor follow thru
Yelp billed me $1,000 after getting my credit card info to redeem $300 free ad credit. I never made an Ad or uploaded a picture to the Ad, never wanted an Ad, and yelp also added an additional $120 a month service upgrade that I never agreed to. I only wanted to get listed on yelp and redeem the Ad credit. User Interface is purposely deceitful to trick business owners. Did not get any actual leads for the $1,000 and the unexpected bill has put me out of business
Answer: Good luck with that. You'll end up paying more for a lawyer than you'll ever save disputing the charges and they count on that. I got scammed hard by them. Just pay them off and chalk it up to a lesson learned. They always win. They lie to you. They lie to the debt collector and they're rich - so they can hold out longer than you can. Pay them off and walk away - poorer but wiser.
Answer: Block your credit card from this company and dispute any charges because you won't be able to contact anyone and request cancellation unless they call you. Even when they do call you and you cancel like I did, they will still keep charging you. They are a completely fraudulent company.
