On the last page of the catalog. It says: FREE PUZZLE with orders of $39.99 & up. Your choice of a 300,500 or 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. What they don't tell you is---you can't pick the exact puzzle you want-----bits&pieces does it for you. THAT IS IGNORANT--AND INRAGING. Why would you not let the customer pick the puzzle they want? There are many many puzzles that I, & most others would NOT want to have or do. In fact, there's many puzzles you couldn't pay me to work---including "niagra falls" in latest mag. That FREE PUZZLE carrot just cost you over $100, because I went to Puzzle Warehouse after talking to a spvsr. Your loss! It would be better for your bottom line if you just took that FREE PUZZLE carrot out of the mag. Believe me!
I ordered from Bits and Pieces and it was a rather unpleasant experience. The problems were similar to most of the other negative reviews. They take forever to ship and customer service is worthless. Also, don't believe what the catalog says that they don't charge till they ship. They did ship one item and immediately charged my card for the whole order, even though the rest of the order didn't ship for weeks. By the time the items arrived, the event was over.
Purchased 3 puzzle set from Amazon. Of three, only 1 puzzle was complete. One just missing 1 piece, other, whole corner missing. Contacted bits and pieces customer service, basically told me sorry, pound sand. Go to Amazon. These were brand new puzzles, don't waste money
We have done jigsaw puzzles for years including many from Bits and Pieces. As we were nearing completion of our last Bits and Pieces puzzle, we found several pieces were exact duplicates of other pieces and didn't fit in the puzzle. The duplicate pieces were the same shape and the same picture. We also found a small section that had no pieces so we were not able to complete the puzzle.
We contacted the company and sent several of the duplicate pieces with the letter. I said that I expected a response. When we didn't get a response, I sent a second letter requesting a refund. Still no response. My thinking is that Bits and Pieces does not have a customer service department.
We will not ever buy Bits and Pieces puzzles again and suggest that you do the same.
I didn't like the puzzle right as soon as I opened the box. The puzzle piece shapes seem weird and are strange shapes and some of them even look like edge pieces when they are not! I find they are a very cheap glossy and bulging look to them and there was no picture in the box to work with. I was so uninterested to do the puzzle that I put it away and grabbed another brand of much better quality
The Table is defected, one screw and washer will pop out when trying to set the table up!
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. Contacted customer service for a return label, I was told I had to return it at my own charge. Went to UPS to ship it back at a cost of $99.00! I did not ship it back to them, why would I at that cost, I paid $128.00 for a defective table and they wont pay for it to be sent back. Tried emailing them pictures 3 times, they informed me the pictures were not with the email. I know the pictures were attached to the email. No customer satisfaction at all. I am know disputing the charge with the credit card company.
In 50 years, I have never had a puzzle with duplicate pieces: This one had 2! There was also 3 missing pieces. Having read the reviews, I see now this is very common for this Company to have missing pieces. I contacted them because it would be nearly impossible to add extra pieces to a puzzle without it done on purpose. I called BP because the 2 duplicate pieces and 3 missing pieces was so egregious, I wanted BP to send me a replacement. I sent a detailed letter as to why I was contacting them, not Amazon.
I advised that while missing puzzle pieces can happen (though clearly BP has very poor QC given how often it happens in your factory), it is impossible to add extra/duplicate pieces to a puzzle unless it is intended. In my case, there were 2 duplicate pieces! I advised that because of the fact that the additional pieces were intended, or the result of gross negligence, I was looking to BP directly, as the manufacturer, for remedy. Simply, I asked that the puzzle they sold be replaced with one without missing or duplicate pieces.
I received a form email that said I should contact Amazon, as that is where I purchased the puzzle. I re-sent the email, and asked them to read it, as I had already explained why I was not contacting Amazon. In response, I received the exact same email.
I was purchasing a few items on their site and noticed they had free shipping if my order was $50 or more. So I added an extra item to ensure I had free shipping. I later found out after placing my order that one of the items was now out of stock (it was not when I added it to my cart), and the total without that out of stock item put me below $50, and they charged me $13 for shipping. There was no notice, no option to substitute it. What sucks is without that out of stock item, my pre-tax and pre-shipping total was $49.98. Yep, two cents short.
I contacted them via email to try to get this fixed, but all they offered was a $5 off code for a future order, which by the way, didn't work. I will never order from their site again.
I ordered the Tiger sanctury puzzle and just finished it, 3 pieces missing and an extra piece
I ordered quite a few 1000 piece puzzles, but I will look elsewhere from now on
I placed an order on September 26,2023 and my credit card was charged upon placing the order. A month later, I still have not received my order. Every time I check on the order status, the ship date is pushed out a few more days. I contacted customer service and they said my order was delayed by a glitch in their system, and that they were putting my order on priority. Just checked the order status, and shipping has been delayed AGAIN. Ridiculous service in this day and age when I regularly receive orders from other companies within a week. Do NOT recommend this company for anything!
Ordered a very pretty glass windchime advertised on sale for $25. Recieved a not pretty metal one with a note the first was no longer available and a bill for $35 for something I wouldn't have been happy paying $25.
I received my Bits and Pieces puzzle as a Christmas gift. It had 8 missing pieces and 6 duplicate pieces when finished. We intend to throw it in the garbage and tell the gift giver we enjoyed it because it wasn't her fault this company provides an inferior product! Beautiful looking puzzle. Challenging but frustrating when you are not provided what is needed to complete.
I bought 3 items from Bits and Pieces for Christmas gifts. Two of them turned out to be total disappointments.
The "Fitzroy storm glass" was nothing more than a tube with water that did nothing! We left it undisturbed for over 2 weeks and nothing ever changed.
The "amazing" hover ball came with zero directions. The first time we tried to use, It flew straight up into the light fixtures and crashed. Disappointing (and embarrassing) to give Christmas gifts that turned out to be junky.
I called the company to get a return label, but was told they do not offer that service. I put the 2 items in a small box to return, and paid $17 for return postage! Never again!
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! Waiting for my refund.
I hope it comes through. However, I am still out $17.
Been trying to get info on my order. All I get is updates that keep pushing back the shipping date. No answer if they even have what I ordered. Just one big nothing useful from them.
I bought a puzzle table for my teenage daughter for Christmas. The legs can lock in the closed position, but do not lock open when the table is in use. Additionally, her cat jumped up onto the table the very first day and the entire side of the table broke off. For $130 I certainly expected something that was more stable than this, it's incredibly flimsy. Not recommended if you have pets or kids, it will not survive.
This is the first time in years that I've placed an order with a company that charged shipping. Even places with free shipping can get orders out the door. Five days after my order was placed the items hadn't moved. I placed 3 other orders with different companies (free shipping) on the same day. I already have one item, another due to arrive tomorrow and the last in transit.
After I cancelled my order I got an email saying I would receive my refund with in 30 days. What? Most places don't charge until your order is shipped. BitsAndPieces can do better.
A puzzle arrived with a missing piece. After contacting customer service and proving the purchase was legitimate, they refused to rectify the situation. All I wanted was a single puzzle piece. They offered a $5 credit that would only get me to spend more money with them. Nope. Stand behind your product and I would be a loyal customer.
I appears my order is walking from where these people are based. No Christmas present for four people this year because my order from 12/5/22 has not yet arrived and today is the 23rd. Never mind that I needed to ship the presents on to Nevada and Texas. Their phone takers promised me the 24th but the fed ex shipping now says the 26th or 27th. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. And I will get a full refund, you betcha. If I could give them worse than a one, I would have.
I ordered a puzzle table top. It was on sale for 49.99. Said if you order by the 13th it would arrive by christmas. I ordered on the 13th. Card is charged, but no shipping notice. So i reached out via the chat feature. First agent said my card was declined. I told the agent that i'm looking right at the account, in another window, and the charge went through, the card has a very high limit and has less than 100 dollars charged on it. Rep then said i cant see what the issue is, there is a card issue. I reiterated im looking at the charge. Then, magically, my order date switched to 12/15. Rep said well it wont ship until after christmas, you needed to order by the 13th. WHICH I DID. Rep then went back to order wont ship because of card decline/ Yet i have emails with the confirmation, and receipt from them AND confirmation of the charge from my cc company. I canceled the order on the spot. Still awaiting my refund. If it doesn't happen this week im contacting the credit card co to dispute it. Liars and Scumbags. Terrible company. Do not use!
Bits and Pieces caries a variety of gifts and products. The prices, service, and selection are great. The website is easy to navigate, and checkout is simple. I use this site for unusual gifts. I always find something that is perfect for my hard to match family interests.
Answer: Evidently not as they do not ship products that are ordered from their catalogue.
I saw, forge, file, sand, hammer and assemble each piece. My prices are fair & based on prices of sterling silver. The quality of my pieces are absolutely worth my prices. I guarantee all of my work. I would love to create something fantastic for you!
