If you see $700 for any type of Macaw. Stay away from these scamer. They will more likely to copy and paste there answers. 0 knowledge about bird nutrition. Demand for shipping with cash app with documentation of the birds. Buy bird in person only.
I shouldnt be writing a review yet since I havent gone and bought the bird in person yet, but the seller I contacted who is selling two parakeets seems to be real. They said to pick up in person and didnt ask for money up front. Theyve answered questions about the birds over the course of a couple of weeks since Im waiting for quarantine to end. I dont believe its a scam, and dont have any other signs to reassure me other than the ones I gave, whether there will be a small catch - like the bird was semi unhealthy or aggressive. The owner seems to have details on each of the bird's personalities so I feel they are real. Im looking forward to seeing them in person and taking a vacation in the town the birds are in so I can bring them back on the last day.
Im guessing this site isn't going to have many in person sales or sales right now in general due to COVA-19.
I was heartbroken and worried. I had to find a home for my sweet bird of six years. I didn't know how to find him a good home until I found this site. I had several wonderful people contact me and was able to choose the best match.
Mango went right to her and was so sweet and loving with her that I knew it was a good choice.
Thank you
I don't think the site itself are the scammers. The "sellers" are the scammers. (Let me say, not all the sellers.) Especially people that advertise the African Greys. Red Flag number one: If the price is low, it is too good to be true. Scammers! African Greys are very expensive. Scammers will advertise them for under 1k. These birds are in high demand, you can get double for them. Red Flag number 2: They don't make any sense and their responses are very vague and all over the place. They provide bogus numbers or addresses. Research, research, research! Red flag number 3: They ask for the money up front. Big no, no. Red Flag number 4: Pictures. You may see those very pictures they provide online. So be careful who you buy from. Do your research!
Very unimpressed with how this website is ran nothing but scammers and your site just allows it too take from those that have a good heart. Very sad never ever again will we use this website found many of the picture we got sent on Instagram and facebook
I had a great experience as a first time bird seller. I wasn't sure of the process at first, but the site was easy to figure out and navigate. I was amazed by the number of inquiries and had over 1700 views in just a few weeks. I highly recommend for both buying and selling!
Birds Now has been influential in helping me contact buyers for my Bourke Parakeets for several years now. They are the BEST BIRDS FOR SALE SITE on the internet! Thank you from Rosie Birds at Windy Ridge Rosies.
Best site to sell your bird. Very legit and your clients don't stress you up. You give a location, meet you with your client and deal is done.
I cannot understand these low ratings! My experience with Birdsnow has been positive. I have made many new relationships thru Birdsnow. A bad experience with a buyer or seller should not tone the entire website. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater! I will continue to use Birdsnow, and recommend it to many others. You can meet bad business people on any website, you must use discretion and common sense. Birdsnow is a great tool, in my opinion.
Do not buy African Grey parrots from *******181
This is a scam, they will only accept payments through Walmart. They claim the wife is ill and they have to get rid of the birds, IT IS ALL A LIE!
Please DO NOT send money to anybody unless their is a paper trail such as Paypal.
I'm a canary breeder and have used this site to help sell my babies. I don't ship birds and only sell ones in great health. I always encouragement my customers to see several birds and choose the best one for their needs and wants. I also give advice on the schedule my birds are on and how to get them on the schedule of their new surroundings with the least amount of stress to the bird. If a seller doesn't take time to help you get the best bird and welcome questions even after you take the bird home then beware. Shipping birds is fairly dangerous and I wouldn't recommend buying that way unless it's the only way for your area.
It's not the sites fault, its the owner of the sites fault and the sellers. Of you are a seller, list somewhere responsible, if your the site owner, take a little responsibility as to who lists. Hunting thru crap is hard and shouldn't be.
I got scammed $500 dollar from a seller for 2 birds, stay away from this website, false pictures, the owner named mellisa and the shipment people are colleague, Ad number is *******. I sent money by MoneyGram to the receiver named Kom Loise in Baltimore MD, spoke to the person and he still kept the money, he told me he needed $900 more for insurance and that i would get reimbursed when my birds get delivered to my home the next day. It was too late, before I realized it was a scam. If that site can not protect users, it needs to be shut down.
The fraud parrot owner's phone number: *******699; email: *******@hotmail.com
The fraud shipment company phone number: *******147; email: *******@usa.com
I have been posting ads on this site for at least three years and have never had a problem with the site. When a buyer is looking for a bird, common sense would seem to dictate that before sending money they would check the seller's state license and Better Business Bureau ratings first. I never ship birds, ever. I can't imagine anyone buying a pet sight unseen, with no idea as to the bird's health or personality. Buyers also need to keep in mind that most reputable bird breeders have stopped shipping parrots or cockatiels because the bird flu regulations have made it almost impossible to do so at present. The site isn't a scammer and shouldn't be held responsible for people using it who are.
Most ads say local but when contacted by seller they say have relocated. Want you to send money and they will ship. Most email reply are of the same content they change the bird names and their location. When you question they do not respond back. Some sellers are on the up and up but be cautious. State you only will do COD upon inspection. Also make copy of all text discussions.
Website is a scam I found a guy with 2 parrots his Area code was Chicago the next day he told me he moved to Baltimore if u can't do a local pick and see the parrots good chance it's a scam
The birds might seem cheap but it's for a reason. They want you to think you getting the birds for a really good price so you get excited and think you are getting a good deal but the truth is you will not be receiving any birds. They will call you and rush you to send the money fast so you won't have anytime to realize that you are being scammed. Don't believe in this website luckily I saw some red flags and didn't fall for the scam thanks to wise people around me who warned me. Hopefully I can help other people who are victims to these scammers.
I got scammed $500 dollars from a seller for 2 birds, stay away from this website, false pictures, people from cameroom running scam business, i sent money western unioned, spoke to the person and he still kept the money, he told me he needed $2300 more for insurance and that i would get reimbursed when my birds get delivered to my home the next day, that's when i questioned him, but it was too late, before i realized it was a scam, that site needs to be shut down
Answer: Buyers beware! DO NOT buy birds from out is state. You are going to get ripped of. If the prices are too cheap and they sound too good to be true, they probably are. This is an organized crime. Some don't even have a bird for sale. They keep asking you for your email so they can send you pictures and more information as they claim. What they are actually trying to do is identity theft by opening their attachment. Quite often the state they claim to be in does not match their area code. Instead of buying cheap birds out of state just pay a little more and buy them from the local breeders in your own state. Do not fall for $500 Hycinth macaws or Toco Tucans in other websites like pets. Oodle. They are mostly scammers.
Answer: Pay through a site like PayPal. PayPal allows you to make a paper trail and makes the buyer commit before you send anything or they send anything. PayPal also will create an invoice. If there is an issue or fraud, it can be submitted to PayPal as an unpaid item dispute or to your bank as proof for a reimbursement.
