Pretty sneaky way of charging your credit card $79.99 without clearly showing that
Before hand. So... how do you get your initial money back if you want to cancel and have made no bids? Any advice on this please!

I first saw this site in 2011. And thought hey let me give it a try. I bought a bid pack and used it all until I had won a $50 Walmart Gift Card. I put in my information and pay for the item on top of my bids. They never sent it. I emailed them no answer. Now I know it's a scam. Never used it again. Can't really sued for $50 ~ $100 so just stopped using the service and took it for face value. But do not use this site that is a warning you will rack up $$$problems and will not get your items.

I have not received gift cards I have won dating back as far as January 2013.
They owe me about $1500. 00 worth.
Now they will not answer their phone or reply to e-mails.
I think they are on their way out of business and the owner is just grabbing whatever money he can get.

Like others say this site is useless, only stuff to bid on is bids and gift certificates for restaurants, can't even delete account online, I won a 30 bid pack for 99 cents then figured out there ain't no more then 10 items to bid on and most were free bidding bid packs. Sent an email to have my account deleted and a refund if possible.

Do not give these people your money. If you win the auction, you will never receive your winnings. They are in the process of being bought out, or filing bankruptcy, although the site is still running and they will still take your money. I have been waiting almost a year to receive items won.

Everytime I logged in to BidCactus they had just a few auctions. Eventually they closed their doors and another penny auction site is honoring bids. Right now we have 3 bid players in the industry... HappyBidDay, Quibids and Beezid. They have all been around for over 4 years.

The Better Business Bureaus has just lowered it's rating on Bidcactus to " F" """Types of business that, in BBB experience, are believed to operate in violation of the law or materially misrepresent their products/services. Businesses that fall within this category will always get an F grade.""". Bidcactus owes me over $2000 in auction wins and unused bids, they have not shipped any of my wins and it's over 3 months now. Bidcactus is not answering there phone or e-mails; But they keep taking peoples money even today on there auction site.

I just received the same response for the exact same washer & dryer set in Fort Worth! WOW!

Dear denise,

I just sold out this to someone, but I can tell you where I got it from.
I just picked up 4 of these from www.productsforsell.com and I resold them on here for some extra money.

The trick is to watch for bidding to slow down and then put in a bid. That's what I do and I win all the time.

Cheers

James Dean

I also received this email after inquiring about a washer and dryer:

Someone just bought this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from.
I just picked up 3 of these from www.productsforsell.com and I resold them on here for some extra money.

The trick is to watch for bidding to slow down and then put in a bid. That's what I do and I win all the time.

Best Regards

James Dean

I'm going to email Craigslist to let them know this is happening.

I just saw that someone got same exact e-mail I did when I responded to a Craigslist ad in the Bay Area about a washer. So, it is a way they draw you into the site, and use, not at all legit in terms of them actually having a washer.

I received email rom someone while I was looking for something on craigslist telling me how they got it for cheap, I went to the website and registered my information and right after I received an email for $79 charge, I called to cancel but they refused and I checked other reviews they do the same and even if you bid and win you will never get the item you won. Its complete scam. I suggest if this happens to you go to ic3.gov and file a complain against them and I am sure they will go to jail once we have enough complains.

This is a scam site
November 23, 2011

This is a scam site. I never even register with them, yet they manage to be sending me their crap. Think about it, $0.75 on $0.01 plus the final cost of whatever, plus shipping and handling. Are people's brain also gone into recession/depression? How in the world can people actually fall for this nonsense.

I read an bogus article claiming great this site was compared to other (quote) penny auctions sites. The reporter claimed she won a TV and other big ticket items, but that's hardly what comes up. It's most self perpetuating "bid boxes" that keep you playing. In the end it's a big scam. Stay clear of BidCactus. You are better off hitting a the slot machines at the nearest casino no matter how far it is... at least, you'll come away with one or two free drinks.

Yet another scam
September 13, 2010

Yet another scam. I even thought with them being registered with the Better Business Bureau (so they claim) this site would be better than Swipe Auctions and all of those other low class penny auction sites. After reading the reviews here and then watching how the bidding was going on their website, I thought - HECK NO! Example: 500 bid pack goes for $. 45 - yet a 30 bid pack goes for $3.45? Really? Then the same people seem to win all the time. Also, they had a Kitchen Aid mixer that went for $3.85? What? Does that mean, if I had bid on that mixer a bidding war would have taken place? Too weird and very fishy. This is by far the most dishonest site I've ever seen. I will def contact the Better Business Bureau.

I won several auctions but in over 2 months have yet to receive any of the physical items I won. I contacted them repeatedly. Some they say "you will get soon" (over 3 weeks ago), others they say, we haven't processed yet. Their stated policy says 15 days or less for delivery. It may be time to file a class action lawsuit against them.

We were looking for Washer/Dryer on local Craigslist and this too-good-to-be-true listing showed up. Brand new looking, front loading, stainless steel silver.
Lister said he was moving to IN (from Florida) and the new place came with washer and dryer.
My husband E-mailed and got some reply back that someone had already bought them, and that he got them from BidCactus.com for cheap and re-sold them for extra money.
It sounded fishy - why give up your way of earning money? I see that I'm not the only one experiencing this. This is just a big scam, folks!

Watch out if some ad or anything directs you to this website. They will still your money at all cost! Even if you were not the one authorizing the purchase. And do not trust you 17 yr- old old or disable child fall for this scam. It cost me almost $100 dollars of absolute nothing and a lot of aggravation. I just authorized her and trusted my child to purchase her prom dress. And they are out of their mind if I filed criminal charges since they refuse to refund my money. I feel they have paying employees constantly bidding, just look carefully at the alleged customers bidding and times and you would realized their bank account must be wipe out so fast. It is just a $#@! Website and you will never get a resolution through their web site or phone by Heather Rodriguez or Manager "KIp" and "busy and unknown" Director.
