Haven't read it yet. Author is brilliant. Not damaged in shipping, perhaps because it is a rather large book. I have heard of problems from others. I've ordered several books from B. W. and not had a problem. To me, not worth the cost of more expensive shipping.
They should have mentioned that previous owner's name is in large letters on outside but I don't care.

My son is very pleased with the two books he received. One had been a library book, and it had the markings from that. But it was also $25 less than purchased new, that helps a LOT! Who cares about library markings when you save that kind of money?

I was searching for a book that I heard mentioned in a sermon at a funeral and when I searched for it I realized it had been out of print a long while and was hard to find. I found it on Amazon but it was so expensive there but there was a link to Better Workd Books at a much more reasonable price. It's a good organization that benefits many. Glad I stumbled on them
I order books that were sent in four shipments, but the four did not have an invoice. I had to manually go back to the order (which shows ALL of them, not by shipment) and check them off... slow inefficient process. And as other reviewers have noted, the condition descriptions are not accurate. I got a few that were ex-libr and I did not order ex-libr in those books and others that were much worse than the condition order - and packing of the books is terrible. THESE BOOKS MUST NOT BE LOOSE IN SHIPMENT!

I've ordered from BWB many times over the last decade at least and to date have never had a bad experience. Books arrive within the time window advertised and are in the condition claimed. I'm sure there are some with relatively rare bad experiences because nothing is perfect, but based on my experience those are probably exceptions.
The best place to buy books. They have new and used and the profits go to education. I have bought many different kinds of books including knitting instruction, history, etc. Free shipping and pretty fast too.
