Ordered two books from USA to EU. Delivery time delayed by two days, but I count it on virus. Shipped in large plastic/something material bag. Books were damaged, marked and a little bit sticky, but it was mentioned on order. Overall - I think, I will order more books from BWB!
I love doing business with Betterworldbooks! I live in Mexico and my first order didn't arrive. BWB's refunded my money, so I reordered, had the books sent to a friend on the border and she sent them via Mexican mail. Since BWB's has free shipping, the very minor cost of Mexican mail was well worth it. What a great concept BWB's has and I will support this company wholeheartedly
The book was shipped late and Better world book always have the problems with shipping. I hope that in the future you will improve your service better than present.

Better World Books never disappoints! My books always arrive in great shape and without delay. I love that I'm able to get used books delivered in a way that minimizes carbon impact and provides books for others!
The books are cheap, which is good. Some books are in good or acceptable conditions, but some were really damaged (water damage), or they were severely maltreated by previous owners (too much underlining makes a text unreadable).
I was surprised that the order came so quickly. Usually, books take a couple of weeks.
However, you do need stronger boxes and perhaps use smaller boxes. I received a small box (around 12 inches or so) and a bigger box (around 2 feet or so). The bigger box was badly bashed and barely holding together. I'm surprised none of the books fell out.
This site is great! You can shop in the privacy of your own home. The books are in excellent condition. I appreciate the fact that you recycle books and promote literacy. Free shipping is like gold. Thanks
I wanted to complete my collection of a series, but I discovered that the entire series was out of print! I was super happy to discover that I could still buy the books, and from a business that supports literacy charities no less! I do wish that the quality of the books was a bit more clear on the website. Two of the books I received (which said only "Used - Good") were former library books, complete with all the stickers and plastic coverings that you'd expect from a library. It's not the end of the world by any means and the pages are in fact in good condition, but the stickers really stand out on my shelf and I wish I'd been able to search through the listings and see if any of them were not former library books. But in the end I'm still really satisfied with BWB and the fact that I can find out-of-print books!
Shipping time was plenty quick, especially for during a pandemic.
Affordable, environmentally friendly, and easy to use. I love my books and will be ordering more soon. Yes, they are used so not in perfect condition but books and made to be loved and shared! Absolutely happy with my purchase.
There was a wide range of books available and the books received where in good condition. Fast delivery. Only concern was the packaging was only a thin bag that started to split with sharp corners of hardbacks. Overall really happy!
Whether you purchase hardbacks or paperbacks you will be pleasantly surprised. Most books are like new. Plus an added surprise is often an "old"library checkout card. Not to mention the free books to others when you purchase.
I placed an order of 5 books on October 16,2021 and was told via email I would receive the books within 3-9 business days. I received an email on October 21,2021 stating 1 of the books was unavailable and they would refund a portion of what I paid and the rest had been shipped. When I checked the website yesterday (10/22), the shipping information had not been updated so I messaged customer service asking for a status update.
Turns out, none of my books were available and they cancelled my entire order. Why would you sell books you don't have? If I hadn't contacted them, they would have kept my money and not notified me of any changes.
Very shady business practice and I do not recommend this site.
My order arrived in 20 days. I was sceptic about the condition, but the book was like NEW! There is no a single scratch or mark inside the book. I am very satisfied and I will buy again ftom this seller! This was my first order on this page. Thanks!
Took between 3-4 weeks to arrive (two separate books). Both had "minimal wear" in the description - one fits this description the other still good but wouldn't say "minimal wear" (has some annotations). But still, great value for price, will be buying from this site again.
For the most part, I have been satisfied with the quality of books vis a vis the seller's rating and pricing.
There has been the 1 book that was rated as 'Very Good', and there were underlined markings on the first few pages, and dog-earred pages. The description for this particular book did not mentioned any internal markings.
Given the overall experience, I would continue buying from BetterWorldBooks.
Two of the books were in poor condition. I have never experienced that before with BWB and always check the condition before ordering, never choosing anything that is less that "Good Shape". So that was disappointing and surprising! I checked my order to make sure I really DID order two books by Annie Solomon, because they were horrible, and I have no idea why I chose them. They ARE on my order, and both are listed as "Condition: Used Very Good". These are the two that are in poor condition, unlike any others I've received from you (changing my stars to 3 because of it). One had been flooded, in fact.
After seeing the "new" translation or rather modern interpretation of this wonderful old book, I do not want this book, but do want an older translation. This book is of no interest to me; however, I am interested in an original translation. I want to return this book and get one of the old translations you have. Can we work this out? The book is just as I received it, in new condition.
This site is supposed to give part of its profits to charity, but they don't seem to be too altruistic with their customers. I ordered a book from them that I needed in a hurry. A week later, hey sent me a notice that it was out of stock. I ordered another book from them, and got a message, stating that the copy of the book I had ordered was damaged so they were cancelling the order. Maybe they should change the site's name.
I've been buying books (used and new) for quite some time from BetterWorldBooks. I'm never disappointed. The website is easy to use, the service is great, the quality of the books is great. This is a great place to buy used books! They have a great selection and they are speedy and getting it delivered. My teenager loves when I go on this site because she always finds a book and I usually end up buying three or four books because they are so reasonable.
