I progressed through my order process and got to the "Confirm your order" portion of the order. I pressed confirm and a window popped up stating " one of the addresses you entered is incorrect. Please check and try again" or words to that effect. After checking my information again I once again hit the confirm button. Same thing. After five tries, I called the number provided. When I finally got a person to talk to, I could not understand much of what she said. The phone she was using was of poor quality and although I am adapt at understanding most accents, this one was very hard to get. Seems like another case of outsourcing American jobs to the lowest bidder overseas. I finally cancelled my order! What a poor business decision this company has made.
I ordered 2 orders through a Groupon deal. Shipping is $17 for regular day shipping and over the top for weekend or that special day - Mother's Day - shipping. Then had a problem with my credit card (fraud issue) and called them 3 times to talk to someone about getting it cleared up. All 3 times bad connection, they couldn't understand my English, couldn't make sense of what I was saying. Finally, just got online and was able to get the card changed. We'll see how it all tastes and how it's shipped. Probably going to pass on Shari's Berries and get strawberries from the grocery store.
I ordered 2 Mother's Day baskets to go to the same address and was charged shipping and Saturday delivery fees on both! No other company charges shipping like this! It is absolutely ridiculous I spent more on shipping then the entire order! I will never use them again! I double checked on Amazon and they do not charge shipping like this even for this exact product! Complete and utter rip off! Definitely just lost a customer!
I first went on the website and chose an item that was $54.95 Went to grab a coupon and when i entered it the price ROSE to 69.95 I was then supposed to get a 15% discount. After checking out, I thought i had ordered twice. My order cost $112.00! There was no free shipping, no discount added at checkout, tax and delivery charges added for who knows what. I'm not happy and certainly hope these berries and flowers are out of this world since i spent twice what i planned on. And of course I can't cancel it, couldn't find anyplace on the website Doubt I'll order from them again..
Berries were pretty bad... soft, mushy, almost like they were frozen and defrosted, and bad tasting... chocolate coating tasted like cheap crappy chocolate, and the white chocolate was almost inedible. Not worth much of anything, and I would recommend not buying these overly expensive junk berries... horrible
I refuse to pay the ridiculous shipping fees. I can't understand anyone when I call. What country are these employees working out of anyway?
I ordered very expensive berries and they were rotten and had mold on the sides. I highly recommend you DONT buy these berries.
The shipping prices are outrageous and the worst part is that you don't really know what the shipping will be until you complete the entire order including your credit card info. I was going to still place the order with the $14.99 shipping charge, but then an additional $9.99 was added for rush delivery. The delivery date I asked for was one week away - is that a rush? Total ripoff. I don't think the company deserves even one star.
Overseas customer service shows how little the owner cares about his customers! He sucks! They could not find account much less solve a problem. Being asked several times for my info and no manager 4 help
I tried to order online. The website didn't seem to be working. So an hour or so later, I called. She told me to "call back later." I asked her what later was. I called another hour later and the person answering could not speak English. I didn't know if my order had been placed or not because the website not sure it was working. The lady could not even understand English at all. I tried to get a supervisor but she wouldn't give me one or even understand what I was saying. Horrible!
I had bought a Groupon for some berries. My balance should have been $9 plus reasonable shipping costs. Shipping was $17! Seems as though this business is trying to re-coup Groupon costs by passing them along to customers in the form of ridiculous shipping costs. This approach is dishonest at best. Please buyer beware! Had I read the google reviews I would have not been hornswoggled.
I wanted to order an anniversary gift for my girlfriend, and the podcast I listen to always advertised Shari's Berries with a code for a discount. I decided to give it a try. The code actually doesn't do anything. It simply routes you to a package that is always available for purchase regardless of whether you have a code or not. So, don't think you are saving any money.
But either way, the "savings code" is moot once you get to the shipping portion of your order. Nearly $20 for six berries. Really?! And if I wanted it within a week I'd have to add another $5. I can go to the supermarket and buy ingredients to make my own chocolate strawberries for a fraction of the cost.
Finally, the when the berries arrived, we were excited to eat them. Our review of the actual berries? Meh. They tasted good, but there's no way they are amazing, and they did NOT leave us wanting to buy more.

WHY is shipping more than half of the price of the item I am purchasing?
When I bought a groupon it advertised shipping started at 9.99. Shipping on my 24.99 item ended up being 14.99. If I wasted to select a different day than the cheapest available it went up exponentially!
If I didn't buy this stupid groupon I would not have ordered!
I just ordered Shari`s Berries for mothers day, I was given a code...
I used the code. Which was useless... They request a date to deliver order then charge you an additional 14.99 on top of the original, 14.99 Delivery charge...

Ended up costing me 53.47, for 6 Berries! I highly recommend Nobody use this company, As it is a Total Ripoff... So Disappointed!
Wow shipping outrageous and codes are a joke. From what I see they already have bad reviews. Good luck keeping repeat customers.
I am really disappointed how far this company has fallen in 5 years. Then, I was totally satisfied with the service and product, now, I can't even place an order. No one speaks English, they put me on extend ended hold and when I called back the supervisor hung up on me. Too bad for them, Harry and David is glad to get my six figure, every holiday for all extended family business. Die on the the vine Sharis berries, sorry I every gave you a dime and never will again. Kick rocks and die

The reason for Shari's Berries being completely useless is that they have outsourced their customer service to a particularly bad overseas company in India. Wow! Trying to communicate on the phone with this English-challenged person was UNBELIEVABLY hopeless! I tried the next day and got another such person, who mispronounced my first name (Lisa) in exactly the same way.
When a company sells only product is chocolate covered strawberries and your customer service rep. Doesn't know what dark chocolate means, I'd classify that as an epic fail!
Answer: Because they f@ckimg suck, that's why. Once they get your money, piss off. They charged me 4 times for my order and never responded to any of my emails.
