Their promised 3 months wait time for cashback is a clear scam. Most people give up on waiting or simply forget about befrugal in a month. It in such a big amount of time, that befrugal is not goanna send you money at all. You wouldn't receive anything from them until you demand your order reviewed after 3 months. Imagine how many email you receive in 3 months, your order confirmation is gonna be lost in a huge archive and little chance to be found again.
Use ebates.com instead. Two weeks at most and 75% success rate for my orders.
I enjoy the rebate program overall, but the mobile app is not something I will continue to use. I lost a rebate for a product I purchased through the mobile app, but because I apparently wasn't signed in online, I didn't get the rebate.

BeFrugal practices false advertising and will not honor their promotions if the store does not comply. When I saw that BeFrugal offered a $20 bonus for placing an order at Fabletics, I decided it was worth it to try out their membership program (the only way to purchase items from them). I received my order and did not make any returns, and I never received the advertised $20 bonus. I contacted BeFrugal about this 3 times over 5 months and they said that Fabletics decided to pull this offer(after my order was placed) and would not confirm my order, so BeFrugal would not issue my $20 bonus. Beware.

I have personally used this site and can say that its no where ebates which I have been using mostly. I already had couple of instances when no cashback was provided to me for no justified reason. And that was after following 100 rules this site has set for you to be eligible for cashback.

You must provide a cell phone number in order to receive a payment sent directly to amazon, which adds 3% on to the total. When I asked why, I was told it was for security reasons. So if you don't have a cell phone or don't want to provide your number, you lose out on the 3%. It seems pretty shady to me. An email address should be all anyone needs to know. No one wants any more robo calls than they already have.

I have used BeFrugal for about a month making at least 4 purchases and have been waiting for them to hit my account/ so I finally opened a ticket on each purchase and they flat denied a couple of them and are requesting the same info over and over on the others!
Bottom line, they only offer higher percentages because they aren't actually gonna pay them anyway! Stick w Ebates!
Hi Karen, I'm sorry to hear you are unhappy with your BeFrugal experience so far. We absolutely pay our customers the cash back they earn when shopping. Occasionally, cash back requests are denied from the retailer, and we will submit an inquiry to find out why. If they tell us that the transaction was not eligible, then we are unable to issue cash back. There are different reasons for why this can happen - the FAQ page on our website lists a lot of helpful information.

I'm a relatively new BeFrugal user... for about a year or so, but I've been using FatWallet, eBates (now the same company), and TopCashBack for about 14 years. Thus far, I've made relatively small purchases via BeFrugal, and have had zero issues.
Recently, however, I made a large purchase from WalMart. BeFrugal had the largest cash back % at the time, so I decided to use them (plus it would put me over my "startup" incentive for bonus cash). Given the order size, I was very careful to ensure I followed the process correctly so I would get this cash back. Long story short, the purchase/cash back was not reported. I opened a ticket, and BeFrugal promptly credited my account, but then came back some time later and said that WalMart had completed an investigation and denied the cash back. Then outlined how I can make my purchases more successful. I responded to customer support to ask for more detail, and they responded with a reiteration that WalMart declined the cash back. I responded again, but they opted to stop responding.
In any event, while they had been OK for smaller purchases, I would STRONGLY advise against trusting them with larger purchases. This may not have been BeFrugal's fault, but bottom line is that something was not connecting right that day, which tells me this is an unreliable service (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that this was a technical issue and not something more "sinister").
