We ordered 2 dresses for a wedding - they turned up completely different to the picture and with rogue sizing to what they said. You can only dispute an order within 5 days - We received these dresses beyond that deadline and they would answer emails. Don't waste your time or money on this awful site. Based in China, terrible quality!

I get no answer to my emails, please ring A Current Affair to state your complaint, i hate seeing people being taken advantage of, beformal is an chinese site posing as an aus site and are ripping off the consumer, only together will they be shut down

We ordered a dress for my daughter's school formal - what we got was not at all like the picture on the website. Lace insert (approx 4 inches wide) that ran from underarm to floor, and NOT LINED - lining was clear in the picture on their website, but not in the dress received. Cannot wear any kind of underwear with the lack of lining, and yet need to wear underwear as fabric on rest of dress is such poor quality you can see through that as well! Looks like the dress worn by a cheap prostitute or stripper - certainly not the classy dress shown on website (which was taken directly from Sherri Hill website), and definitely NOT appropriate for a school formal (in fact not appropriate for any self-respecting woman, young or old). Many emails later, still no satisfaction and I'm beginning to think we will not get a refund. :( :( Can I give them a 0 star rating. WORST SELLER EVER ENCOUNTERED!

I am annoyed with myself for not checking reviews first. Now I can only confirm what all those experienced who were ripped off as I have been too:(

The item that arrived is barely a resemblance of what I've ordered based on the pictures on their website. Only thing I've found amazing is that they kept coming up with ridiculous excuses as why there is no problem and refusal to issue a RMA and reimburse me.

I bought a dress from here came back pretty quick and it was nice but at least 4 sizes to small it would have fited my 5 year old niece i emailed the and they replied. Dont expect a refund. My friend order one also and it was absolute rubbish the ssleeves to the jacket had half sewn on inside and half on the outside. The quality was disgusting. I would not recommend buying from this site

Do not buy a dress from this site unless you are absolutely sure you love it. When i bought a dress off here it looked nothing like the image and i spent a lot of money. When wanting to return the dress (like the site said i could) they took forever to reply (literally two weeks) and then now wont let me open a dispute to give it back. So looks like im stuck with the dress and they still wont reply now.

Just giving everyone a heads up, be careful!

I received a dress that was not the color or the style advertised. I contacted beformal. Within six hours of receiving the dress. I sent pictures that they asked for. They refuse to refund my money or accept the dress back. I have a dress I cannot wear. I feel this is a fraudulent company.It is a chinese company, the dress amd service is bad.

I bought from this site believing it was Australian and did not read the reviews. I will never shop online again without reading reviews. I believed my dress was ready made and would get to me within 2-8 days going by the info on the site. I am getting married overseas and need to have my dress asap so I could make any alterations that it needed. I was not aware that my dress had to be made and sent from China! The dress arrived one month later and it is hideous, nothing like the picture portrayed and does not fit any part of my body. It is poorly made and looks very tacky. There is no way I can alter this in time with the amount of work that it needs. Very disappointed and have to now quickly search and hope to find my dream dress before I leave. This company does not correspond with u at all. I have sent numerous emails with absolutely no response. Save yourself the disappointment and shop from an actual Australian site that has the courtesy to communicate with you. Not happy beformal. I want a full refund!

I was so overjoyed when my wedding dress arrived and i tried it on and found the fit was perfect. It was extemely well made and heavy and looked absolutely stunning. Beautiful detail especially the beading so sparkle and dazzling. The tail is gorgeous Perfect fit! I am amazed at how such a beautiful dress can be made with such little cost. Great customer service. Easy ordering! Dress made and delivered fast and to schedule. I would have no hesitation in recommending these dresses to all my friends.

I ordered a dress from this company and never received an actual email from the company Beformal themselves, but from an affiliated company. I had no idea if my order was received apart from the money being taken from my account. I emailed them and asked for some form of official receipt of order and finally received one after several attempts. I then received dress and yes it was made well but did not look like the photo. It was floor length when it was supposed to be under the knee. I emailed them about returning and ordering something else (not a refund) and until this day have still not received a response.

I ordered a beautiful white lace dress that was supposed to be for my wedding, when it finally arrived it was far below what I expected.
First of all, threads were hanging off it, it was dirty in one spot, the fabric was glossy white while I wanted an ivory dress with a matte finish.
I ordered it 'custom made' so exactly according to my measurements. With much effort and my partner to help we could just do the zipper up, but I was barely able to breathe, I could not sit or lift my arms. The fabric was so stiff it would not stretch a millimeter. Worst of all, the dress on the picture had a beautiful wide piece of lace on top, which gave it an awesome 'bare skin' effect and it was an off the shoulder fit, which indeed made it look sensational. In reality, the piece of lace on top was only a few centimetres wide and had none of the effect from the picture, also the dress did not give justice to my shape at all - it was all a very straight fit even though the picture indicated that the dress would follow your natural lines nicely.
In conclusion; the dress that I so adored in the picture was in reality a cheap replica, very poorly sewn with cheap fabric and a terrible fit - no way I was ever going to wear that for my wedding.
I doubt that I will get a refund; they argue that they tailored the dress to my measurements and therefore did nothing wrong - the fact that I can barely move while wearing it does not seem to matter, neither the fact that it looks nothing like the picture.
Save yourself the trouble and do not shop here. I thought it was an Australian company but the dresses are made in a cheap Chinese factory. I have found a great replacement dress that is way better quality AND lower price so obviously there are good options for us that get married on a budget too, just don't make the same mistake I did and fall for a cheap wedding dress online - you will be disappointed.

I recently received a dress that I ordered from this company and it is without a doubt the worst quality garment I have ever seen. What you see on the website is NOT what you receive. Their workmanship is extremely poor. The dress I received did not represent what was pictured on the website in any shape or form. It had a hole in the lace on the sleeve, the side seam at the bottom was not sewn together as the lace did not join, the colour of the garment was totally different, the sleeves were the wrong length and the brooch on the dress was totally different. The garments on their website are a poor mock-up of designer dresses and would not recommend purchase of any of these garments. They are a dodgy company with no customer service and they DO NOT honour their Return and Refund Policy as specified on their website.
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WISH TO BE RIPPED OFF AND DISAPPOINTED.

No response about the sewing, today is 18/3/16, I posted the parcel back and they are still saying it has not arrived.
Australia Post tells me that it regulary occurrs that parcels are posted to china and the recipient denys receving it and it ends up returning to you by ship 3 months later.
DO NOT SHOP FROM THIS COMPANY.

I love this online store. The quality, the price and customer service are all great. I want to recommend it to my friends.
