I am so upset right now.
Last month my husband and I finally paid off one of our bank loan credit cards.
Today I get a statement and I was excited to see it say 0 amount due. HOWEVER I ended up seeing a "new" charge for 48 dollars by BeenVerified.com. On May 16th 2014.
I go into my sent email archives and see that I had sent that company a email to terminate/cancel a free 7 day trial membership. ( Which I used for less than an hour or so because the info they provided was nothing that I had not already found by myself on the internet.)
The email I sent to *******@beenverified.com was dated FEBRUARY the 9th of 2013!
Over a year and 3 months ago!
And they charge me 48 dollars in May of 2014!
I called the number I found and it said to call back during regular business hours.
I am so glad I never deleted that email I sent to cancel. Something told me not to and now I know why!

HERE IS A SITE YOU CAN TRUST!

My issue with this company was handled with great professionalism, the kind you would like to have from everyone. The rapid response time was speed of light and the attitude in resolving the problem was understanding and with no condemnation of me as a customer. The refunded immediately and with no question. Customer service like you have never experienced in this day and age.

Fraud alert...

Fraud alert... this is another scam website where you cannot cancel... the autobilling shows up on your credit card month after month... even the phone number listed on your credit card statement to reach the company is an automated message that requires you know your account ID number... DO NOT sign up for this service unless you enjoy aggravation and pain.

This company is a complete rip off to say the least. I purchased a subscription which before I purchased, they showed what was going to be included in the purchase. All I received was a name, address and phone number of the person I searched for. No property, traffic, criminal or anything else I was told was going to be on the report. I spoke to a representative and they just kept telling me I had to upgrade to get additional information. So basically, I paid close to $30 for a name, address and phone number. This is public record! You can get this information online. They basically charge you for public record information, but promise additional options which you don't get. Stay Away!

If I'm viewing the right account for you, you signed up for a monthly subscription to run unlimited background reports. These will include, whenever available, names, aliases, addresses, property reports, relatives and associates, phone numbers, criminal records and more. Due to the way in which public data is collected and how it is made available, you may find that sometimes more information is available for one individual than another. You do have the option in your account to upgrade any report to a comprehensive report, which unlocks additional sections such as watercraft ownership, UCC filings and more. However your unlimited subscription comes with reports that include the information you were looking for. We may just not have had traffic or criminal information for example, for the person you ran a report on. Your subscription also includes the AlertME feature which you can activate on up to ten reports you've run, so that you are notified as soon as there is any change in the information we have for that person, such as a new address or criminal record.

I also sent an email to the email on the account, to be sure that I'm viewing the appropriate account for you, and have extended your subscription to give you 30 additional days free.

Very worthwhile

I've used this site for about 10 years, I believe. It's excellent, especially since it added email addresses, which have been notoriously difficult to find. In searching for high school classmates (class of '55) I've been able to find most folks for whom I've searched, including females, most of whom have had one or two new marriage names since then. It has some extra cost features I've not used, but have not felt I needed to. RECOMMENDED

I tired the FREE trial & they've been automatically charging my credit card for months. Even with an e-mail verification that services were canceled. My credit card provider stopped & reissued a 2nd card to stop BeenVerified automatic billing. They still found a way to bill me. They billed me twice in August. Im still waiting for six months of credits from this company.

Professional and Legitimate

Although I was not satisfied with some of the false information that appeared in my family's public information, I was treated with upmost respect by this company. It was billing time, and I wrote to request termination of my service. I immediately received a response from their Customer Care representative and a refund for the payment that had been made to renew my service. It was explained to me that their searches could only reveal what was reported to them through public records and Internet searches. I was amazed at the promptness and professionalism with which my account was handled. My only hope is that people realize that public records and information on the internet are not necessarily true, no matter which method is used to gather them. Kudos to this company for employing representatives like Carla, who contacted me on its behalf!

So I was frustrated to see I'd forgotten to cancel my membership and when I called to get it handled, I expected the run-around, to be honest! But to my surprise there were no lengthy waits, no double-talk, no hard sell! It was just a guy on the phone who was pleasant, professional and willing to handle my cancellation without delay!

I was pleasantly surprised!

As for the service itself, I got exactly what I wanted and was pleased with what I got (the report)! I just forgot to cancel is all... that was my bad!

If I had needed the resources that they offer longer I would be fine with the cost. With that said though I do believe they trap New comers with a trial. The customer service was one of the best I've ever dealt with.

What a joke!

Barely any info was correct! I happen to know this because! St check was on my ex. Still had me as relative and still living with me and my phone # and said nothing about his fed. Prison stint, and I could go on about wrong info. So they said I was a relative, I looked myself up, 7 catagories were wrong, contact, phone #, emails, relatives, social network, and to top it off, the picture was of the eiffel tower. Do not know where that came from, never seen the picture before in my life. Info was worthless. What a RIPOFF!

Regarding the issues you encountered, we do not currently have access to federal criminal records, due to the way this data is made digitally available. An ex spouse may appear listed as a possible relative, because they may still appear linked in public record databases. We do not provide marriage or divorce records in our reports.

Worst company ever

Do not use this company. They will rob you blind. They will debit money out of your account even when you sign up for the one time use and one time fee. They are liars and do not use these people. They will run your bank account dry.

(Couple of hours later: in answer to a note about my experience, beenverified.com refunded the one month charge. Very decent behavior.)

Today, I used www.beenverified.com for examination of a person proposing a service to me and my family. The search turned up scanty information, perhaps a reflection of the person and claims about the person's business experience. Then I looked at my own information and found a hodge podge of mostly useless material. For example, the site merged me with one of my brothers, without complete information for either one of us. I regard today's one month membership purchase as a waste of $22.

Taking advantage of the elderly with "bait and switch" billing. After I caught the 2nd charge to the credit card, I found out that she was lead to believe it was a one time charge of $15, and that the information that was claimed to be available, was not. This is typical business practice for a company that scams people on a fixed income out of their limited income with recurring charges spaced out so that the consumer is not alerted. Only a scammer sets it up where you can NOT cancel from the website, and provides no mention of how to do so,
