They are nothing but thieves. They started making my balance negative last week and today i tried to log in they said they didn't recognize me. And their support is not answering.
A friend posted on Facebook that her father released an album on Bandcamp. I had never used the service before but I wanted to support my friend and her father. From my Apple iPhone I went to the website and made the purchase. Only AFTER the purchase went through did the site inform me that downloads were not available for Apple iPhone. WTH! That is useful information BEFORE I make the purchase. It really pisses me off when business purposefully deceive or withhold information just to make a sale. It is complete BS. I had to then set up an account, which means they are no doubt selling my personal information to third party vendors. I then went to the "Help Center" in order to write an email to the company. Of course, they do not list any email addresses, nor phone numbers, no any other way to contact the company directly. Just another online company that does NOTHING in the form of customer support. Absolutely the LAST TIME I WILL EVER USE THIS COMPANY.
BC is $#*!ty woke platform.
$#*! woke
Please don't support this $#*!
Don't support $#*!ty woke artists
Bandcamp removed music that I listen to from their site AFTER I BOUGHT THE SONGS because they disagree with the politics of the artist. They have yet to refund me. Garbage company.
Can't find multiple artists on their website. Most Artists have been canceled for no good reason, political crap. Go woke go broke... F BANDCAMP
Paid on the site, received the download link via email. The site looks trustworthy but I was doubtful, so I googled it before I proceeded with payment.
Bandcamp has a lot going for it - pays out a reasonable share of the profits to the artists and offers a reasonably fast platform that is easy on the eyes.
But there are things that I'm somewhat sure haven't always been this bad:
- Instead of being able to easily browse one's library, they use one of those idiotic neverending lists. Really great if you've purchased hundreds of things and are looking for something that you bought a few years ago and can't remember its precise name.
- No ability to download albums straight from the album page. Instead, you have to go to your library and use the tiny "download" link. They obviously want people to stream more. Why is beyond me, since they don't even offer a player that can repeat or queue things.
- No way to contact customer support.
- Bad discoverability - there should be a "radio" feature but there isn't one.
I've been a long time user of Bandcamp. It has been a great website for me to find artists I wouldn't have heard of through other means. The service they offer is great for music lovers since they provide their releases in a variety of formats including FLAC, meaning audiophiles are certainly going to take advantage of the lossless format for their music. There is a wide variety of genres represented on the website and a lot of independent artists are putting their music up on the platform. It is easy to navigate, making a payment is pretty easy, and you can download all of the music you purchase indefinitely. I've had a few artists pull their music from the website for one reason or another, but Bandcamp still gives you the ability to download that music since you paid for.
I've only used it as a buyer. It's great to find new artists and better than licensing your songs to Spotify or Apple. The UX could improve, especially the music player, which is ugly.
Great form of support to your favourite artists. You can donate and buy their tracks with ease. Very popular among indie artists.
Bandcamp let's composers and musicians get to a lot of audience and give them good money for every payment.

If your personal vehicle is more than a few years old and you will be taking a road trip, consider renting a car for the journey. You will ensure that the car you drive is mechanically sound as well as possibly renting a car that gets better gas mileage than your own.

A dream compared to Soundcloud. Simple and hassle-free to set up and start making money from your music.
Their fees are not super cheap but it's still a very good platform for most aspiring musicians along with Soundcould.
