“Great products”

Linda O.
6/3/20

I have been a customer since they first came out with Fix-It. That product has been the best thing I have ever used to keep my computers running smoothly. I have recommended it many times. Recently I have purchased the family tree software and it works great. I am extremely pleased. Yes, they need to work on their customer service and technical support. Not that I have used those things very often. The sale doesn't stop with the purchase. I also don't like that their billing is 3rd party. Those kinds of things really turn off buyers. The reason I have stayed is that Fix-It has saved my computers more than once. It is a priceless program.

AVANQUEST supplies fake product keys. They have almost nonexistent 'customer service'. I applied to Paypal for a refund after a month of trying to get my 'software' to work and Paypal declined saying Advanquest showed them proof they'd given me a product key... Advanquest was blocked from any further transactions. Forward a year later I have just been charged AGAIN AND they seem to have been trying to purchase/charging me for 'Gift cards'?!? I have opened yet another claim with Paypal to try and stop this B. S and get my money back... *Update, Paypal once again sided with the scammer saying the transaction was 'approved' (it absolutely was not) but at least I was not charged for the 'Gift Cards'...

Called twice, placed on hold by auto attendant for 10 minutes and then call was dropped. Tried emailing them and the e-mail kicks back as no good. Not recommended.

It is not a good idea to purchase Avanquest Software. One of the big reasons for this is the extremely poor quality of their technical support.

After purchasing a copy of their System Suite software, a firewall, anti-virus and PC maintenance package, I found the firewall application within the Suite will not work with Windows 10. The company that handles Avanquest's technical support, VCOM, admitted to this.

After sending multiple messages to VCOM explaining a number of additional problems with my PC's, (which I will spare the details of) a technical support representative named Michael would reply to my messages with only "Thank You for contacting technical support. If you have any other issues, please write back to us." I received this same message repeatedly after describing in detail the issues I was experiencing. Michael (or someone at VCOM) apparently does not know how to read email messages in their entirety, and/or correctly. Perhaps Michael and His fellow VCOM employees are overworked?

On a couple of other occasions Michael replied by saying "I did not see any text in your response." When I scrolled through the entire body of text in Michael's same return message, there it was. The detailed explanation I had provided. It's hard to know what is going on within VCOM.

After multiple attempts to explain and re-explain the issues I was having for three months in a row to Michael, I will not be renewing my subscription. I have wasted my money on this software.

When I was able to get a live Avanquest customer service representative, she referred me back to technical support. After explaining the nature of the "support" I received, She referred me to back to technical support. When I asked for a refund for the raining time left on my subscription, She referred me back to technical support. Is there a pattern here?

It has become clear to me that the issues I am having with this software will never be resolved. I have decided to uninstall System Suite from all my devices and I will not be renewing my subscription which expires in October.

Goodbye Avanquest, goodbye, VCOM. The Titanic(s) of software and technical support organizations.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use this software.

If you try to convert into docx, it is fun of signs and symbol and not the proper text. Useless and so expensive...

I initially purchased their MyInvoices software at Staples in May of 2018. The laptop I was using died so I purchased a new laptop and since we had recently moved and I didn't know where the cd was I went online and purchased it again as a download. Fast forward to August of 2019 and my new laptop is not working so I figured I'd just install the software on my husband's older computer. Unfortunately what they don't tell you when you buy downloads is that you can only download them for a couple weeks and then you can't access them anymore! Then I caught a break and found the cd and thought great I'll install the cd on hubby's computer only to discover I don't have the activation key anymore! I have the cd & the Staples receipt but guess what? There's no email address that you can contact them at. So I've spent over $60 and still can't use the software! They obviously care more about sales than customer service which is really pathetic.

I've never used this company, purchased a product from them or visited their website. Somehow, I got on a ridiculous spam email list. I've used the unsubscribe link many times going back to mid-2018 to no avail. I emailed a request to be removed on January 1,2019 and "Joy" responded on January 2 saying it would be removed.

From January 1 to 24 I've received an additional 43 spam emails! Expect this volume of spam from them monthly.

Be very careful giving your information to this company, they will hound you to death and do nothing to make it stop!

Bought Driver Genius installed on two High End Notebooks. Big Mistake! They immediately slowed down and benchmarked much lower after installing Drivers from this Tool. Even after removing Driver Genius my Notebooks are still not working as before. Dont even think about a refund you wont get one.

After 8 years I give up. The software seems to work but there is no service. Their latest gimmick was to farm out their billing to a n0-name off shore company with a bogus email address.

That triggered a fraud alert that ended up canceling my credit card. Do not give them your cc number, do not do auto renew. It is not worth the problems.

I have the FIX-IT Util. The program is okay but support, refunds are NON-EXINT. You are forced to write a service ticket burt never talk to the tech., As you can imagine, ti leads to complete disaster. I renewed a month ago and am still waiting for help. With all the hoops and loops they make you go through, it is clearly a "buy and bye" company.

This company is horrible. Prior to purchasing, I tried to call this company to verify that by purchasing the CD, there would be a download code included - in the event that the computer we were going to use did not have a CD drive. I could never get a customer support person to answer, so I went ahead and purchased. A week later, still having not received my CD, I called the customer support line. After 20 minutes on hold someone answered only to tell me that there is no download code included with the CD and that I would need to purchase the download version separately. I informed the customer service agent that I was purchasing this as a gift and only wanted the CD to wrap and put under the tree.

I went ahead and purchased the download version - still not having received my first order - with the additional $10 option of the "backup CD", so that I would have something to wrap and put under the tree. It has been 23 days and I still have not received my order. When I call the company I am told there is no tracking number - they use USPS standard mail and there is no way to track the order. I plead with them to do something, anything, since this is supposed to be a Christmas present. I am told that they can send me a new CD, but they don't have the option to expedite shipping. That I would receive this new CD somewhere around the beginning of next year.

As far as any sort of discount for all my troubles, there is none. When I ask about it, I'm basically laughed at.

This company is the WORST!

I purchased some software form this company several months ago. I have purchased software from them before with no issues. This software inPixel has a major issue. The software has several different options to work with photos from removing unwanted items seamlessly to touch up and several other things.
Everything worked fine until last month when, the reason I purchased it, stopped working. Other parts still work great. When I click on two of the most important features the screen will not open the program.
When going back to them and requesting some help they would not answer me. I tried many times either through email direct or through their web site and opened a case.
I did not purchased the download feature for X amount of dollars. This would have let me download it again like new and it would work.
I have the activation key and I saved the download. So I downloaded it from my computer and opened it up added the key but the same thing. I uninstalled and removed every part of the software and tried it again. Nothing, it does the same thing.
I did get an email without a way to return it that said I should have purchased the download feature and I would have been able to download it and get a new key as the one I have only worked the one time.
I would have to purchase the software again at full price. I purchased it at a discount special they ran.
I am not happy with this company and I refuse to purchase anything else from them no matter how good it is. I suggest that if you are doing business with this company to stay away from them. They are just a marketing company and have no real interest in their customers.

This is one of those quick and dirty software companies that cranks out knock off software such as: Checksoft (check writing software) or My Attorney Home & Business (legal forms). So far so good. Here's the problem, the instructions are terrible (i. E. appear to be written by someone who doesn't speak native english) and there is ZERO customer support. I just spent 2 hours on hold on the technical support line. Of course, both the sales chat and telephone people will answer immediately. Problem, they can't transfer you to technical support or give you a better way of reaching technical support. Bottom line: You're on your own buying this software. Frankly, it's not worth the aggravation.
