Although it took over a month to resolve I MUST sing the praises of PETE in Dayton, Ohio. He stayed with me when no one else would. Long story short my problem revolved around getting ATT to find my address in their databases (even though I live in a metropolitan area Dallas/Fort Worth). MY FIRST FEW HOUR LONG PHONE CALLS GOT ME NOWHERE. But then God Hooked me up with Pete in Dayton, Ohio and he took control from there calling me daily providing updates and getting any additional info I can't believe how Pete stuck with the problem (and with me). He is amazing! Pete is a Saint. He's got to be the best employee at ATT. If he lived in Texas I'd beg him to work with me. ATT please let Pete mentor your other representatives. The world needs more peeps like Pete! Thanks so much!

Wtf kind of policy is that!?!? Complete rip off. Makes me think they are all working together. LEAVING AT&T AND NEVER COMING BACK

AT&T deserves ZERO stars! They locked me in with a free phone and 30 month contract on May 21,2017 and by June 26,2017, I was threatened my service would be disconnected and I would have to pay a restoral fee and late fee. Yes, ONE month after signing the contract! I hadn't even received a bill in the mail and on June 26,2017, they threatened to disconnect my service if I didn't pay. I was shocked but didn't want my service disconnected or the fees so I paid that same day. I explained I never even received a bill. They gladly took my payment and stated not to worry because my phone was not disconnected, I would not get charged the "restoral fee." LIES! Today, 7/30/2017, I noticed a $35 restoral fee and a $5 late fee. When I called AT&T, they said too bad, you must pay because they sent me notices. UNBELIEVABLE! Two months in with AT&T and already regret signing with them! Well, 2 months down, and 28 months to go to be released from this prison!

BAD COMPANY
October 4, 2022

Bad company, makes improper charges, they charge you for international calls that you didn't make, to sell you packages. Some of the attendants never solve anything and are rude.

Discrimination
August 2, 2023

I've been an AT&T customer for approximately two years the service was OK, after carefully reviewing one of my bills I found charges of close to $1000 that should not have been there. I have reached out to AT&T they were not able to fix the issue, so I found a complaint with the Better Business Bureau after filing my complaint, one of the representatives reached out to me they solve the issue, and I assume that everything was OK, a few days later, I received a letter in the mail stating that because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They were now going to cancel my contract and my cell phone account. I am a first responder. I really depend on my cell phone service for communication for work and also with my children and family, anyone who utilize their cell phone service for children, work family anything other than fun? I would not advise you to go with AT&T for if you have an issue with them they will cancel your contract and your account.

I would give them 0 stars if I could.
February 8, 2023

Stay Away at ALL Costs! I have had one of their phones for 4 years to use as a spare, but was told I could not unlock now because I have only had it 1 month. (?) During all of this I was given 2 'Case Numbers' but never received any response from either. Although - when I called - I was told both were closed. No one can explain why their data shows that I "First Used" my 4 year old+ phone on the exact day that I went into one of their stores to ask "Why can't I unlock my phone?" The web site for Unlock - where you enter your phone #, name and email address - keeps saying "The information you entered is not correct", but gives no indication of which information is 'wrong' (I think I really do know my own name) or why something else is not correct. Then I was told that the requirement of 180 use before an unlock is allowed actually means 180 day of "Continuous Use", not just calendar days. I asked how many days of use they figured I had on this phone that I use as a 'spare'. They don't know, cannot tell me. Also, how much use counts as "Continuous"? No answer on that either. Oh, and the phone I have, which was purchased in an AT&T Store, is also not considered by AT&T to be an "AT&T Phone". Wow. Really, really not worth the hassle folks, no matter what kind of deal they offer. Personally, I don't like dealing with companies that tell me I'm a liar because their information is so totally wrong.

POLICIES & PRINCIPLES
Every company must establish policies and procedures to be successful, however when your guidelines fall outside of the commitment for exceptional customer service. You have clearly lost sight of your business goals.

'm a new family member with AT&T, Mesa Ridge Branch. I have to give the biggest "ever" given shout out to Derick and Makyra for thier most awesome (the bomb) service given to me as a new member. Derick has a personality so uplifting, polite and spunk I've ever received in my experience since cellular came into exsistance. I went into the store, contracts in themself are stressful; however, I left there with the biggest smile and confidence of what I has just done. Makyra, sweetest assistant who took care of me with literally so much patience and had me serviced in and out, just that quick! Both Derick and Makyra went over and beyond to service me, no matter how many times I keep going back to the store, back and forth over a few days. They always treated me asif it were my first vist. I can go on and on about how they welcomed me into AT&T family. When asked "Who is your provider", I'm proud to say I'm am a AT@T family member. Much love goes out to Derick and Makya (God is on good)...

I canceled my internet service 4/07/2023. AT&T drew a payment from my bank account a month later even the service was canceled. I checked my account on line and I had a credit that should be refunded. 4 months later I'm still waiting for that refund. On 8/7/2023 I called AT&T and I was told yes there is a refund, but he has to connect me to another department. I had to explain my problem 5 times and stay on the phone for 1:07 Hour and gues what I was not done. Nothing happend. It is so easy for AT&T to get your money, but it is so hard for them to refund any over payment. That is AT&T.

WORST SERVICE EVER
December 13, 2022

This is the THIRD TIME in 1 year that my internet has gone down for an extended period of time. AT&T IS A HORRIBLE service with even worse customer support who does NOT CARE about their customers whatsoever. They refuse to reimburse you despite not being able to even use their junk service due to junk equipment or whatever other issue. I WORK FROM HOME, YOU GUYS ARE TAKING MONEY FROM MY POCKETS. I AM UNABLE TO WORK. This is so unacceptable.

I had AT&T Uverse internet at my old apartment. The speed was extremely slow and AT&T said they were not going to fix it because the box that provided the service was really old. Yet, they were happy to take my $40 each month. I moved to a new place and set up AT&T to move my service. They told me the service would be lightning-fast at my new place and everything would be ready for me there. They said just take your U-Verse box and plug it in. When I got to my new place, nothing worked. I was on the phone with AT&T for 2 days. They couldn't figure out why nothing was working. Finally, on the 2nd day, I was told my service was cancelled because a rep sold me a service that didn't exist. Nice work, AT&T.
I have gone to another provider and am happy with them. I will never do business with AT&T ever again.
And, on my final AT&T bill, they raised my rates. I am sorry I ever did business with them.

I'm not sure how this place actually has customers to keep running! There customer service is despicable, they are trying to scam us and their devices they offer keep on coming in a mangled condition.

First the customer service(Definitely the worst) I don't know how many calls and hours I wasted talking to an unhelpful, rude and troublesome worker in any company before. I made at least six calls, four of which probably exceeded two hours in time. Their workers always hold up on you and once I was held up for 45 minutes before they came back. They are always just trying to market to you and the questions you ask never seem to get answered.

Then, in person, it gets worse. On the outside, they seem helpful, but really, they're not. They put you in the wrong plan, add extra lines to earn more money, they even don't do as you ask. I tried to get several different phones however, instead of it being a fifteen minutes talk, it ends up dragging on for hours, and the phones I receive are broken. Plus a fifty five dollar restocking fee, FOR A BROKEN DEVICE.

What they are doing must change and I definitely can see a difference between at&t and other companies.

After being a ATT wireless customer for 25 years, I am done with them! The last 2 days have been spent fighting their systems, attempting to obtain information, reach a person, etc. Today I tried to pay my bill and close my account and I can't even get into their online system. I tried calling and each time it said it was transferring me, it disconnected. I called the local store and their answer was to DRIVE to their store! I'M TOTALLY OVER THIS COMPANY THAT IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Do Not Use Their Service!
February 7, 2023

So I was shopping at Sam's in Mansfield, TX&Janelle stopped me. With an offer, I couldn't refuse! Stupid me because not only did I pay them $200 for the GS22 but was told my bill would only be $75 at most a month. The battery life on the phone sucked so I asked Janelle what should I do. She was helpful at FIRST, but then I hear nothing but crickets from her! I had to pay a fee to get a new phone, because I was told it MIGHT (Like how can y'all not check it in the store, but whatever) be a battery issue. I had coverage so they shipped me a brand-new phone. So I finally get my first bill expecting $75. Well, it was $202.00! I will NOT pay this and I will be going to at&t to itch someone out! Long story short battery life still sucks on this NEW phone and I went back to Metro PCS! Eff you at&t.

I've been overcharged for nine months and I am owed $210.06. This is the worst company I've dealt with that keeps trying to charge me for an un-authorized.

Date of experience: March 4, 2022

Overview

The reviews reflect a predominantly negative perception of the company's overall reputation and customer service. Customers frequently express frustration with long wait times, ineffective support, and unresolved billing issues, leading to a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction. Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. While there are occasional mentions of product reliability, the overwhelming sentiment indicates that customers feel neglected and undervalued. This pattern points to a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service protocols and enhance accountability to regain consumer trust.
