Had several entries but only 4 to 5 people actually took the time to do what we asked instead many people just put a bunch of random logos together. But I think we ended up with a decent option overall.

Despite me being incredibly detailed, there were too many entries that were way off the mark. It was exhausting attempting to review 1,100 submissions. We didn't ultimately use the name we selected, but it was very close, and served as inspiration for the one we decided on.

I've used SquadHelp several times
July 7, 2019

I've used SquadHelp several times. Receiving so many responses sometimes can spark another concept or idea. I'd like to see the website being more responsive and faster... the layout, design, and function of the website being less cumbersome. Otherwise, the overall experience and process work well.

Squad help provided a great number of name options for my business. Even though there were a lot of proposed names, most of them were not a good fit. I selected a winner but opted to go with a different name than those presented on the site.
Squadhelp did feel like a good brainstorming session.

My experience was actually great
August 30, 2017

My experience was actually great. The only reason why I rated as average is because it takes a number of clicks to get to the entry tab and in many situations I could not post feedback to my contestants without having to copy my comment, refresh the page and then paste. Thanks!

Creatives please keep away it's a waste of time, and effort

They take your money (10$) ideas, time and they give you disappointment (in a destructive way)

I joined as a creative and all my ideas were "no thank you" and my domain names (. Com) where rejected.
And other ideas were not rated
When I searched I found people writing the same scenario!
So it's not a coincidence
So please don't let anyone trick you

SquadHelp has changed greatly, and their standards keep increasing. If you list a domain on this marketplace, they will make you wait 7 days before you can delist it. They will also ask you multiple times if you have sold this domain. They will also randomly kick you out of certain events & promotions. For example, I previously entered in the "Seller Marketplace", which was a domain reseller place. They randomly decided to increase standards to enter this marketplace, kicking out many people. They then tell you that you have to meet their new criteria lol. Why would anyone waste their time on this site when much better deals are on Dan / Sedo / Afternic? Joke of a site.

DO NOT USE
February 27, 2023

These thief's are selling my domain on behalf of my previous hosting who will not allow me to transfer my domain to a new hosting company of which I have a legal right to do.
I have tried to reason with them but they do not care and will not help as they are a third party!

I am a business owner who purchased the platinum package in the hope of using squadhelp to come up with a new business name.

We provided a full breakdown of our brief which included, branding archetype, audience, what emotional appeal we were aiming for... basically everything required and more.

Out of 2,100 submissions and countless messages to contestants and 13 follow up messages to everyone - we had 6 names that weren't terrible, but were still very poor.

Our team found that if we spent 1/10th that amount of time using a service like namelix.com or similar we found far better results.

These people do not understand your brand and never will. Save your money and keep brainstorming yourself.

And a shoutout to their support staff... completely incompetent.

Squadhelp is just a fraudulent company. They cheat you buy selling coins and simply reject your domains with fake and so called Expert reviews. Will always show 0/13 Expert Reviews even for domains that have a good appraisal value (manual). Their Expert review system is just an automated process to reject 92% of the names randomly. If you check their inventory or domains which are already listed/approved - they could be of worse quality than the ones which were rejected for your account.

The review process is another joke. If you submit manual review for your Names it will never be attended to. You should only wait for weeks and then months without any progress. If you contact their customer support - they would just give copy/paste reply.

I would suggest all to stay away from these fraudsters and save your hard earned Money, Time and unwanted headache.

Hi Ken,

Thank you for your feedback. We have completed nearly 30,000 branding projects and have the world’s largest branding community, containing more than 200,000 individuals from around the globe -- and we continuously receive positive feedback regarding our customer services team and our platform experience.

Most people find that our platform is one of the most innovative naming platforms in the industry today.

Our Expert Review Process is not automated, but performed by real people and monitored by our internal team as well.

We also offer the ability for domainers to use our internal review process which countless people are happy with and continuously use. We understand and know that the naming industry can be incredibly subjective and there are numerous naming tools that will provide appraisals that we do not always agree with.

Squadhelp’s Marketplace is a brandable platform where you will find many keyword-rich domains that cannot be found anywhere else. Most importantly, we have a unique method, unlike other Marketplaces that allows you to bypass any investment (such as Squadhelp coins or points) and allows you to submit your names to our Marketplace. While there are numerous benefits to Squadhelp coins and points, they are not required.

Best,
SH Team

Creatives beware
August 8, 2018

There are no guidelines for how the logo designs should look when they are submitted. SquadHelp will disapprove your design without any mention as to why. Logos are not easy to make and they take a long time so if you're a designer who doesn't use a template for your logos I'd suggest not wasting your time.

DO NOT RECOMMEND
July 13, 2018

I picked a beautiful name through the contest, however it turns out that we have failed to register the trademark with the name. We chose GOLD contest for the name which includes trademark support because the trademark was important for us to choose the name. Now we can't not use our name and it was waste of money. You can do the contest but recommend to confirm with your lawyer about the trademark search.

Communicating via comments isn't always easy when trying to describe how you want the logo changed. Anyway to improve the feedback process between designers and contest holders would be helpful. Thank you.

They have kind of design competition on site and let people register as member vote for it. As a result the winner got more votes than existing members? Win by 100% I already never heard off, but this is more than a 100%? How on earth that is even possible? I just wonder what kind of vote is that? I ask them but never got the answer (maybe they are making one right now and they better because people are not stupid, they will question that very soon)

In politic it would be a FRAUD right? So it make me think why the website let the winner get away with it, only one thing i can come up with is they are working together or it actually only need one person to monitor the whole things and he just loose track and put too much votes on the winner LOL, Therefore they never have to pay for a price because the winner always themselves that way they don't even have to pay a cent for all the attention and publicity. How smart is that? Work out just like a fraud TV shows. It's a great sample of one of many great idea that should never be done! Disappointing!

I can happily say that Squad help has been one of the most satisfying, user friendly professional organisations that I have ever engaged with. It is a seamless straight forward tool that achieved a great deal for a minimum time input. Great outcome again guys, thank you

First time user, very happy with my experience
October 24, 2019

First time user, very happy with my experience. I learned to refine my brief based on early answers to make it clearer which lead to better suggestions. I also enjoyed being able to provide feedback to individual submissions, encouraging more similar ideas, which resulted in a lot of submissions. I expected about 500 submissions and got nearly 1,500 submissions. Will definitely use Squadhelp again and recommend it to others. Thank You.

It was very easy to use
December 13, 2015

It was very easy to use. Great online service (I had some questions at 1 a.m. and Janice was there to answer) I received almost 500 submissions from 78 participants. An amazing display of creativity in just two or three days, and I got a great name for my business. Very impressed. Very satisfied. Thanks to everyone in SquadHelp.

Superb platform for naming new ideas, products, companies. I loved this capability. Liked somewhat less the logo service. Good not great in terms of the end product provided. Not as technically rigorous as I might have imagined.

The majority of designers who participated in my contest failed to read my design brief properly before submitting designs, particularly the information around brand personality. I spent a large amount of time hand holding some designers trying to turn slack work into something with hope. By day three of my contest I was becoming concerned about the standard of work, but that same day a new designer entered a brand logo that hit the brief perfectly, and I worked with him to create exactly what my brand needed. So, my point is that you need to encourage designers to read the design brief! It saves their time and mine. Otherwise I was happy with Squadhelp, particularly as I called perhaps 5 times with questions and my call was always answered!
