Unfortunately, the tutoring didn't help bring up test scores. The tutors were young and immature. They missed appointments or rescheduled at the last minute. One scheduled a lesson based on her time zone without factoring in the difference between hers and that of my daughter, who was unaware of the tutor's time-zone difference. None recommended regularly taking practice tests or portions of tests, a proven method for improving scores. A friend's daughter was enrolled with Edison Prep, which was significantly more rigorous in its tutoring and produced real results. Arbor Tutors, I hate to say, was a waist of $2,000.

We are so pleased we found Arbor Tutors for my daughter's ACT preparation. They were very accommodating and quickly assigned her tutor a tutor. Mary is such a kind soul and did a great job with my daughter. She had a better understanding of the process and materials after just a few sessions with Mary. Arbor tutors didn't just stop there. They checked on my daughter's progress from time to time to make sure that everything was positively progressing between her and Mary. This extra attention made a world of difference in ensuring that the tutoring stayed on track. My daughter ended up scoring a 33, well above our expectations. This investment in my daughters future was well worth the expense.

Christina is an aspiring professor and has a real passion for teaching. She is great at identifying weaknesses and shaping the way I view the subject matter. She also created a plan to strengthen my problem areas before my tests. She also provides beneficial tips and strategies that can be applied while studying the lesson and while taking exams. I am giving Christina credit for all the improvements I've been having so far since she started tutoring me.

Alexandra was a huge help. She was able to bring my daughter's grades way up in a short amount of time. She has extensive knowledge of various subjects and always came to each session with a positive attitude and ready to teach. She worked with my daughter through a lot of practice problems and gave her many tests as needed until my daughter showed improvement. This aggressive approach worked because her grades have increased a lot. I'm very happy with the progress I've seen.

My tutor helped me do very well on my calculus finals. It only took a few sessions for me to be able to get a much better understanding of everything. I felt the tutoring was taught better than from my college professor. It was explained in the simplest way possible. He would thoroughly go over everything with me and tested my knowledge by giving me exercises before moving on to the next topic. He also helped me review and prepare for the finals with intensive study sessions. I really appreciate the excellent work I received.

I signed up to Arbor Tutors for SAT tutoring for my daughter. I want to make sure she is fully prepared for the test when she takes it. With Arbor Tutors' help, my daughter Chelsea scored 1530 on her SAT when she took it last March for the first time. Her tutor did a fantastic job of teaching her to master the SAT itself. Rebecca is simply the best tutor my daughter has used. She is very knowledgeable and dedicated in helping my daughter to be better in school. Also my daughter enjoys her sense of humor and her engaging teaching methods. She gives extra effort and undivided attention to her and the results have been amazing. There has been a ton of improvement in her grades and test scores since the sessions started. I couldn't be happier with the tutoring she has provided.

I used the company to study for my LSAT's I had been doing some self-studying before making the decision to hire someone because there were things I was confused about. The score I received before using 60 hours of tutoring was the score I got on the test. I did every assignment I was assigned by my tutor and more. It never felt like the tutor was prepared and often sent me the same work to which it would take out of the session for them to find new material. When I would pose a question or struggle to understand something I never got a clear and helpful answer or description the answer was usually "it's a really hard question I don't like it". We only ever worked on one section of a four-part test and the sessions usually consisted of hours of just showing me questions and letting me keep guessing if I got it wrong never explaining or really working through questions. I know this now but there are strategies to the questions but I never learned that in the sessions. I am very disappointed and feel like i would have done better and saved money if I continued to self study
