This is my first time navigating finding an assisted living place for my Mother. A Place for Mom gave me excellent guidance & information. I found a wonderful place for my Mom and she moves in shortly. I am very appreciative of their help.
Working with the representatives from A Place for Mom was such a wonderful experience. They provided the exact level of support and information I needed during a very stressful time. They were kind, patient, and informative. I am so grateful!
I changed my mind several times throughout this process but, Shaneia was patient and listened to me. She was so easy to work with.
Never spoke to anyone. They never called. I tried to reach out to them by telephone and text, but NO response whatsoever.
Natalie at A Place for Mom was essential in the placement of my sister and brother-in-law. We told her what we needed and she immediately sent us suggestions. It was a fast and painless process. They're all moved in and loving their last home... Thank you, Natalie!
I have to say I was extremely pleased with the assistance I received helping my mother find a new assisted living residence, I would highly recommend.
I had the best experience working with Aleidy Soriano. She took the lead and found me a place where my father was excited to stay at. Aleidy was my helping hand when I felt overwhelmed with the process. I would recommend working with her to everyone.
They asked all the right questions to determine which facility fits your needs the most. They set up viewing appts and gave us so much information on packing and helping our mother emotionally through this major life change. I would say that that kind of help was more than I thought we would get. My siblings were also very grateful for that information as well. I will continue to recommend your website.
Kimberly Hall went above and beyond for us! She took the time to learn about our situation, and to understand my mother's unique personality and needs. I was extremely pleased with Kimberly's attentiveness and service!
Very easy to find a place with Olga's help. She kept me in the loop of all the places that were a right fit for my mother
I looked at A Place for Mom for help in finding a home for my mother. I got a phone call within 2 minutes of filling out information online. Was this good? Probably. But it was the start of 1 million phone calls at times when I was working or doing other things and could not take the time to talk. This was after I'd given information on what I was looking for. The intrusive phone calls were constantly asking if we'd found a place yet. Unfortunately, in the middle of looking for independent living, none of which my Mom would commit to, she had to have work done on her house, and that put everything off. By the time we got back into the house, she was in need of assisted living. By this time, I'd stopped receiving phone calls. Then, out of the blue, a second representative called me and we started the search again. This rep helped by giving me a number of Assisted living facilities to look at, but then kept sending independent living options because they had not updated the records in the file. I was getting contacted by independent living facilities that were way out of the area I was looking for. While I ultimately chose a facility recommended by A Place for Mom, I did feel inundated with phone calls.
I contacted A Place for Home for assistance in finding a temporary independent living facility for my sister. They provided information on numerous places that met our criteria and arranged private tours of each. My sister is very happy with the one she chose.
My husband and I arrived in Houston, to look for a Memory Care Center for a loved one. We had no idea of where to start. My sister suggested we call "A Place For Mom". Within minutes of our phone call, we received a return call from a most delightful and incredibly knowledgeable and efficient representative named Melissa. She listened our list of requirements and asked about several more and made appointments for us to tour a carefully vetted list of centers in the next two days. We ultimately found one that was perfect. It has been several weeks now and our loved one is truly happy in her new home.
When I began looking for help for my parent, a friend recommended that we contact A Place For Mom, as they would could keep the search from feeling overwhelming. When I first signed up, they were extremely quick in reaching out and establishing what I was looking for, then put us in contact with several agencies who would be able to meet our needs. They were helpful in both narrowing our search for Helpers and care facilities, as well as setting up tours and arranging interviews.
A Place For Mom was extremely helpful in finding a facility for my mom. They were very kind and caring.
A Place for Mom was spectacularly helpful in finding an apartment in Raleigh, NC near my daughter's. They sent me a list of places that matched what I was looking for with very helpful information about each place. They made the search for an apartment very easy!
Liked the way the tour was presented. So many of the activities are ones that I am interested in. Moved in Sat April 19th. Still setting up the apartment but it is very comfortable and very friendly.
A Place for Mom was a great place to get accurate summary information quickly about independent living places. Laura could helped narrow my search with excellent suggestions in our area. When we decided that my loved one should remain in an area where she currently lives, Laura quickly provided a set of new places to consider. She was always professional, helpful, and very patient as we sorted through issues on our end. We ended up at a place that she listed, and are happy so far with our choice.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
