A Place for Mom was a great place to get accurate summary information quickly about independent living places. Laura could helped narrow my search with excellent suggestions in our area. When we decided that my loved one should remain in an area where she currently lives, Laura quickly provided a set of new places to consider. She was always professional, helpful, and very patient as we sorted through issues on our end. We ended up at a place that she listed, and are happy so far with our choice.
We needed to find a residence for our 70 year old son. We did not know how or where to begin; we and our son have been living independently, but his needs changed so that a group arrangement would be better.
A Place for Mom made one appointment for us and facilitated in four more. Each one would have been OK, but we were able to select one which suited our son's needs the best.
A Place for Mom's provided very easy and adequate information regarding a location for a 86yo friend. Thank you for your kindness and with details of finding a location with ease and comfort.
Caroline Ventry is wonderful! She was our advocate and eyes/ears for the whole journey to find an home for my hubby and she continues to help. She shows so much compassion and empathy and understands and guides very well. She helped me keep my sanity with all of the up and down chaos. I'm not sure what we would have done without her guidance. She was excellent with helping to coordinate his move from the hospital to a Senior Living community., She was a lifesaver! Thank you.
I was directed to azelea gardens. It is near where i previously lived. I am all moved in. It is just what i needed
I'm so grateful for everyone who helped me in the process of getting a place for my Mother. 🧑 had no idea where to start and everyone was so helpful.
I have had the opportunity to work with A Place For Mom a couple times as my mother's needs related to dementia care have progressed. Their staff have always been helpful and caring as well as very quick to research and respond with places that meet our needs. It's made such a big positive difference to me in finding the right community for my mom and helping me work through the process during stressful times.
I had no idea where to begin when it came to finding the right place for my dad. Thankfully, Wendy—my designated representative from A Place for Mom—guided me through every step of the process. Her support and expertise made what felt like an overwhelming situation manageable. I truly don't know where we'd be without this service. Because of Wendy and A Place for Mom, my dad is now in a place where he's not only safe, but genuinely happy. That peace of mind is everything.
We needed to quickly move my mother from post acute rehab to an assistant living facilities that could meet her needs.
They very quickly gave us referrals and set steps in motion. The same day 2 places called me. Another emailed me.
We were able to set up tours and quickly placed her.
She has been there since last Friday and she is very satisfied Thank you
My step-dad was diagnosed with kidney failure and was hospitalized with no prior kidney issues. It was quite a shock to find out how sick he was. He could not go home after his hospital stay as his dementia worsened and he needed rehab to gain strength and ended up in a rehab situation in a nursing home facility. It wasn't the best place but there was an opening for his rehab when he was released from the hospital. Upon release from this facility he was tested for 4 1/2 hours for his dementia issues and the results were he could not live alone anymore. At that point I desperately needed to move him into another facility. I found "A Place for Mom". What a lifesaver! They helped with finding him the best facilities for his situation. I actually had 3 facilities to choose from. I moved him weeks ago. The care and the food is amazing! I was able to decorate his room with his military photographs and items he had collected during his service. He was so excited when he saw his room! It made the transition so much easier for him when he saw his military items in his room. I cannot thank "A place for Mom" and their representatives enough for all of their help with finding the right place for him.
I would highly recommend them!
Thanks You So Much!
It's so hard to know where to start when looking for memory care for a loved one! I was helping a friend and didn't really know where to start. The hospital recommended several agencies that would provide guidance. I recognized A Place for Mom from their TV ads, so I called them. I was assigned to Stan as our advisor. After answering several questions, he narrowed down the search to ones in her price range and location area. This alone was a huge help. We were given great tips on what to look for and questions to ask when touring facilities. Several appointments for tours were arranged. Stan stayed in touch and answered questions quickly. We went through several requests for more appointments and chose the best place for my friend's loved one. I cannot imagine trying to do all this without the expertise and calm, supportive guidance of our senior advisor from A Place for Mom!
It doesn't need to be for "Mom." I called about support for my husband. Two people were contacted, by A Place for Mom in our small town, and both contacted me within the hour (and this was on a weekend). I was able to get an aasessment completed in one day and the caregiver was assigned. The caregiver is an older gentleman and my husband and he get along great!
This company helped me in so many more ways than I ever could imagine.
I reached out 2 years ago when it was evident my mother was unable to manage in home w/o assistance. Specifically I was interested in exploring in home care both agencies and private duty. The initial discussion also moved to assisted living options (although this was not my primary interest). I didn't think anything of it at the time but the contact sent a referral to Noel Manor. I ended up finding an agency that lived with my mother and provide 24 hour care. Mother's care then increased and she moved in with a sister who cared for her for 15mos. Again her needs increased and I had placed mother on memory care waiting lists. In January it became evident she would need to be placed in memory care. Your staff called before her move and being honest I updated them (huge mistake). Your staff sent a email to Noel Manor asking for a referral fee.
I did all the work! For your group to swoop in at the end and ask for one month fee is dishonest. I have experience in home care. I know the Assisted and Memory Care options in Dane County. Besides sending a referral to Noel Manor Assisted Living, I would like to know how you justify a $7000+ referral fee.
I have already complained to you staff with no satisfaction. You cost me $7,000+ (mother was to get the 1st month free d/t a special at the time). You can call me.
I would hard pressed to recommend you agency to anyone looking for assistance.
My number is *******933.
Not only did they let me know about several places that met and even exceeded my criteria, they helped me know how to negotiate and get better deals. They walked with me every step of the way.
Beth worked with us and it made my experience a big relief. She organize tours and all we had to do was show up. We had previously tried to do this on our own since December and only became more stressed out with each attempt. It took a professional to take over and she solved the problem for us in a few days. Hats off to you Beth!
Laura was very helpful. She listened to my concerns and offered her expertise when I was overwhelmed with this entire process. I could not have done it without my discussions with her.
From the first call to A Place For Mom I wasn't doing anything alone. When I was put in contact with my regional adviser, Kelly Connors, I was immediately put at ease. She was informative, confident, and calm walking me through the process. The email articles I receive almost daily were so helpful. Kelly remained in constant contact with me helping me with each step. She made recommendations, arranged appointments as well as communicated with each facility. I enjoyed chatting and hearing Kelly's experiences and I even shared some of my own!
What a fabulous organization. I am so very grateful.
A place for mom contacted me through email when I started looking at assisted living facilities. They recommended a few places within our budget and location. They even made an appointment for a tour. We loved the first place they recommended and our family member is already moved in and very happy there.
I needed to find a place for a senior citizen friend that was not in condition to return home from a rehab.
I was at a loss and receiving little to no help from the rehab facility. Out of desperation and some reluctance I heard the ad for A place for Mom and called. I will say the first week I was overwhelmed with phone calls and emails from multiple places for a few days that I wondered if I had made a mistake contacting them. BUT, after the initial surge and connecting with Martina things calmed down.
Martina listened to all my concerns, needs and details in reference to my friend. She narrowed down the huge amount of locations that would best suit my friend and connected me with to facilities that could work. It took a while to get my friend placed due to issues caused by the rehab. Martina stayed in constant contact with assistance and guidance through the entire process. My friend essentially ended up moving to Carnegie Assisted Living run by Tracy. Tracy is also amazing and without her help and intervention I believe my friend would have been stuck and lost to the system! Without Martina from A Place for Mom helping find a place and connecting me with Tracy, who has been a blessing, I'd have been totally lost. I believe both of these ladies saved my friend and has given her a chance to actually live and enjoy her senior years! CALL THEM! Be prepared to be initially overwhelmed but hand in and let them help you! It was the best decision I could have made for my friend! Thank you to all involved!

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
