The sales rep. Was SO rude, he cut me off after hearing my mother's situation and said he could not help. They do not care about helping the elderly, just making a buck off the unfortunate. Your better off going through a non-profit. I found Care Patrol who put me in contact with several services and attorneys.
$#*! wouldnt shut up. Kept telling me to listen to her line of $#*!.
Unless you have tons if $, dont waste your time.
Expect you to pay a fortune for a place to exist.
Their forever list of resources us worthless.
Shut em up.
Exton Senior Living is a great place for your love ones very friendly community very clean and great staff.
My new life began when I joined the atria family. Such great friends! The stag Wonderful! There's not enough time for all activities but I don't wanna miss anything.
Gratitude and thanks to Galway Meadows Care Home for their kind and compassionate care. The well trained staff is attentive to health concerns and is always available to family. They are truly a happy second family with the residents. The house is attractive, nicely furnished and immaculately maintained in a quiet residential neighborhood. To recommend Galway Meadows with only 5 stars allowed is not nearly enough praise for their efforts. Thanks, too, to "A Place for Mom", especially Gayla, for help in finding Galway Meadows.
Sincerely, Susan Rock - Houston, TX
I worked with an advisor from A Place for Mom at the beginning of looking for Memory Care for my mom. They did send my contact info to a bunch of places that were out of my price range, but it wasn't hard to stop the calls. I chose a place they did not refer to, and worked with a company the hospital recommended to me, called Oasis who were genuinely helpful. Because my situation involves a second step, which is now to get Mom to a memory care facility in my state, I chose to use Oasis again. However, I also do my own research. When I had a question about one of the places I found on my own, I landed on the phone with A Place for Mom without evening realizing it (lack of transparency). Despite my protests, they put me on the phone with an "advisor", saying they could answer my question about a particular care home. Instead, they tried to railroad me into working with them, even after I explained I was already working with Oasis. They were extremely pushy, and when it was clear that I wasn't going to get them what they wanted, they pretended to have helped me by sending a list of the places I had told them were on my list already! I am now signing the form Oasis gave me that enables me to remove my name and my mom's name and info from their contact list. I would recommend to avoid A Place for Mom.
I filled out their online questionnaire and if course received a phone call within seconds. I was told we were on a recorded line, automatic call back. As soon as I said I was looking for a Memory Care place that takes Medicaid, I got let me get you to trusted advis...hung up on me! They are NOT there to help anyone only of you have money to spend will they help you.
It's obvious they just send people to sites that pay them. One of their 5 star places was shut down by the state. Their sales stuff called after my mom passed. I told them this and they continued with their sales pitch. I asked them if they did not hear me when I said she passed and hung up. I mean really?!?
I was asked questions by the rep that answers the phone about budget for assisted living for my parents. Twice all I got back was a form letter saying that I would need to look into public funded assisted living without an explanation of what budget was needed. After the first email I called back and told the rep what happened. She said she would request someone get ahold of me again. Another form letter even though I had increased their budget. I got no human contact where I could ask questions. There has to be a better place than this for research help on assisted living.
My husband and I are looking to relocate to New England from New York. I decided to call A place for Mom. First of all, I received several calls from different people to call them back. I did call back and swear that I was talking to a robot before being transferred to a human. The person that I spoke to was in the Midwest! Although she was very nice, she knew nothing about the area. Instead, she just searched a database and found only one place. I am able to search on google to find a place to live. As I previously stated, I was very disappointed.
At first, for whatever reason, I did not realize that "A Place for Mom" was a referral business. Within seconds of just browsing their page and putting in my phone number fot an inquiry, I received a phone call, and they left a message. However, since then, I kid you not, I have received a MINIMUM of 6 calls between 8:30-3:30. Today alone, they called at 8:30,8:42,10:15; 10:30,1:30,3:00pm. Really? Come on people, you want my business? Don't call me multiple times in one day.
I have since blocked the number they've been calling from. However, they probably have another number they will use to inundate me with calls from them.
They are automatically off my list do to their constant calls.
I was looking for preliminary info, what i got was tons of phone calls and emails from every facility in a 200 mile radius. I'm still blocking calls a month later. I was unaware they would give my info out like that. Very pushy people also.
I called a care facility and an "answering service" answered. Only they didn't identify themselves. Just acted like they were the facility I called. They too contact info from me. But in the middle of the call, i hung up due to too much requested info. The next day, i started getting calls from "A place for mom." They showed up in my caller id like a personal contact. I didn't answer and they left a message. Everyday thereafter, they called and left message. I finally texted them to cease and desist. Then they got snarky and when ever they responded, they'd removed the caller id function and all i saw was ther number. They're aggressive and call when you don't want their calls. If they're this deceptive, then they're not going to do godd business.
They make money off of you. They don't care where you are placed, only that they get a commission. Shame on you Joan London.
Medford Multi care center, helped me heal, I had an injury from work and the service was just what I needed. Physical therapy was excellent and provided me with the tools I needed for a speedy recovery. I gave them 5 stars because it gave the help I needed to heal. Genome B
I called today to request information about the services on the area and the agent That answer the phone, she is screaming on the phone just because I ask another question.it is ridiculous and disrespectful.
My mother lives at this facility she is very happy there.
She has so much to do the coordinating ms Amanda has arranged lots of interesting things to do.
The front desk person Ms Rose is very helpful always has a very nice smile

This place will violate your privacy by giving all your contact information without your consent to people who will harass you just to get a referral fee.
I made it clear that I did not want places emailing or calling me, but they ignored my request. I'm disabled and waiting to have surgery, but they keep on harassing me anyway.
A place for mom has a purpose if you live out of town. Otherwise, they only offer what you can do on your own without their referral service.
If they disrespect you by violating your boundaries, what do they really offer?
The employee at A Place for Mom will continually call you - just to check up on you. I'm not sure what the point was - even after I told her repeated we were good and didn't need anything else from them.
The care homes will also call you- repeatedly. I recommend just finding a place on your own - the repeated calls were pointless and a waste of my time.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
