A Place for Mom was so helpful finding assisted living for my 98 year old mother who broke her hip.
Mom needs someone around the clock for every day living, and they were so helpful and
Had excellent communication with all parties involved.
At first I was a little reluctant, but then I took a chance and was so thankful for the assistance with finding the right independent living property for my mom. They helped with determining the need for independent living vs assisted living and gave lots of information on those properties in our area.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the persistence of the first liaison we worked with. Even though I would let her know that mom was not wanting to move yet and she was in and out of the hospital throughout the experience, the liaison would continuously call to "check on us" and always at just the wrong time. Then, for whatever reason, our account was transferred to another consultant and she was very respectful of my "I'll let you know when we need further assistance" request, letting me reach out to her as needed. Our journey took over a year to get mom moved and we wound up at the first property I visited.
In a time of stress they stepped up and gave us direction and guidance. It was so so helpful
APFM is not just for Mom's. It's an exceptional resource for anyone looking for specialized care for a loved one. One phone call promptly resulted in 6 recommendations and appointments within a week at quality nearby facilities for my brother. I have only compliments for this service.
Our experience with A Place for Mom was a gift- We were supported and helped every step of the way!
Karen Marlatt is a superstar to us- she cared as if she was part of our family and we are so very grateful! I would recommend A Place for Mom to everyone!
Pretty helpful. My agent was slow getting back. I received a couple referrals but ended up finding one in my own.
My brother and I had no idea how to start the search for an assisted living facility for our mom. After speaking to an advisor and answering a few questions, I received a list of options and a number of links with helpful information regarding the search and transition process for my mom. The first facility turned out to be a great option for my mom and she signed a contract. A Place for Mom was instrumental in making this difficult decision easier.
Krista helped demystify Assisted Living to help me understand the options available. We live in Tuesday!
Great! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the type of community we were looking for.
Becky was just great she did a wonderful job with helping us find a great memory care facility for our dad.
She listened and understood
From the emails to the conversations, this was a great resource for finding an assisted living facility. They provided a list of several places near us.
Tamara was very helpful guiding me on what was available for my Dad and setting up tours. She kept in touch during all phases of the process.
Love my 5 day new home. It is smaller than prior, so I walk, using walker, instead of using scotter!
I couldn't have done this without your help. I was scared and overwhelmed and y'all eased my mind and helped me pick the right facility. I'm so grateful for everyone I spoke to.
Very helpful with answering all my questions and asking questions about my parents that helped the advisor make recommendations on places. My advisor then set up appointments for us to visit the recommended places. They were great with follow up calls and such a great asset for our family.
We desired to move our family member geographically (& traffic wise) closer to our home. APFM got us 3 interviews to visit within a few hrs. We chose the 2nd option. Great job.
I spoke with Jill and gave her an overview of what I was looking for --location costs size etc. She provided suggestions which reviewed. I visited some and rejected others. I finally settled on a facility in Kensington MD where I am now living
My search for my loved one took over a year as I had specific requests, i.e. Location, room type, etc. I assumed the sales reps would push me to make a quick decision, but they were patient and offered excellent housing options to choose from. Would definitely recommend this service.
My mom had fallen while she was in assisted-living and was moved into rehab. At that point, we were told that she would need to go into skilled nursing which was an incredible jump in cost. I reached out to A Place for Mom and was advised that there's many different types of assisted living facilities and that they would connect me to places that were nearby. I can't tell you how thrilled I am at their attention, care, efficiency and precision. I will recommend them to anyone who asks or is looking for a place for their parents or loved one.
Mira Vie in Brick was suggested by A place for Mom. We toured the facility and thought it would work. However, on the way home, we decided to go back to the Chelsea, as we visited once before. (A Place for Mom also suggested.) Chelsea was bought by Mira Vie! We toured this facility, loved it, and have since had my loved one move in. It was a good decision,

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
